There's a special magic when you're deep in a cave system, and your flares finally die down. Just you, a gunner, and your buddy, an engineer, frantically finishing off some pipes going to a pump. The blackness is lit only by the red glare of the searchlights on your engineer's sentry guns, swinging over the empty tunnel ahead. Nothing. Then a noise, and the searchlight swings back, revealing a horde of alien bugs crawling on the walls and ceiling towards the two hapless dwarves in their territory. "Rock and stone", you mutter under your breath as your minigun starts to spool up. -------- Deep Rock Galactic is a team based shooter/survival game featuring dwarves in space. A game where you go America on alien biomes to pump out a load of liquid ore. A game where everyone frantically tries runs rings around a massive beastly boss that is very angry at you. A game where you can drink beer and dance during downtime in between missions. A game where, sometimes, you might just have to leave people behind to the alien hordes. I picked this up last week and quite honestly, I did not expect to like it (or play it) as much as I have. It's a fantastically well done game, from the ambiance of pooting a flare through a massive cavern to reveal aliens and/or minerals in the moving pool of light, to the synergy between classes and their abillities but yet still balanced enough that you could go ham with a team full of gunners and still get the job done. There are four classes in Deep Rock; Gunner, Engineer, Scout and Digger. There's miniguns, flamethrowers, slow time grenades, zipline launchers, platform launchers, sticky flares, and tons more. Certain classes and equipment can complement others, such as the Engineer with the platform launcher and the Gunner with the zipline launcher if there was a huge chasm to traverse. There's perks to unlock to use across your classes, equipment to unlock specific to classes, clothes and beards (literally) to unlock; plenty to keep you going! 3/10/2021 Workout Find 3 Rep Max Deadlift (225lbs) Bonus: 1000m row 50 push ups Thoughts: I swear... if being out of breath doing basic sprints or jumps or sparring or living life wasn't something I cared about, I would probably just do strength training. But, I do enjoy the idea of being physically capable at doing anything. So, hence the bonus. For the deadlifts, our coach gave us 2 options: 1) Hand release deadlifts with the ability to drop the bar at the last rep, or 2) No hand release, no dropping. I chose hand release. So did our elite athlete Shale. I couldn't tell if that meant I chose wisely or what. My thinking was to give my hands a quick breather when it got heavy. My grip strength is what I need to work on, so I knew my hands would be fatigued. What was fun about this morning's workout was watching Shale just lift an ungodly amount. I think he got up to 335lbs. Yes, I was a bit jealous when I saw him just keep adding 45lbs plates. I think I can get close to that.. one day. If I keep at it. Now, why the Bonus? Because I felt like it? I'm so used to being completely wiped after my gym session that I thought, "Why not do something more.. you had a lot of carbs this week anyway." I didn't go fast on the row. Just got it done at around 5 minutes... then did my push ups, which was more of the challenge. Especially after being a bit out of breath from the row. Good times!

More good races last night, even with a few missing we still had quite a few there. We also learned that Crispy is the new Mike. Mike must be delighted. Just wanted to also take a moment to say I think we have a great balance. Yes, some races can feel intense at times, mainly because of the pressure we put ourselves under more than anything else, but its also extremely chill. I don't think many other places could do this and all of us have a good laugh through the whole night. I didn't get the best results but it didn't matter for me, really enjoyed the catch and it gave me and my brain some much needed chill time when everything else is extremely busy.

DATE: 10th March 2021 SESSION: Week 5 Day 2 CALORIES: 2890kcals Bench Press 1x4@130kg Bench Press 2x6@120kg Deadlift 3x3@192.5kg FEELINGS: Wednesdays are alway a bit of anti climax as I have to train in the morning (I start later on a Wednesday) and I just never feel as energised. Hard to get too many meals in before hand. However, everything moved well today and I’m feeling strong overall. Need to think about how I’m going to program myself for the competition because it’s not powerlifting so movements like bench press and squats aren’t going to be super useful. To all UK people I have had a letter about the UK census. I have never had to do one before as I lived with my parents during the last one, I assume this will be similar for a fair few of us on here. The letter says it can be filled in one and after the 21st March so I assume you will all have letters by then. Name: Mead Hall Patio Location: FG Server, Home Base So after @RenFengge was tending to the pigs at home base and we were attacked AGAIN by two trolls, we decided to up the defenses. The trolls did a number on the pig pens and let some out. We had some stone built up from @FallenDark200 moat building spree so we started building. It's not done by a mile but it's better, La went and worked on the pens and I built the patio between the hall and the main original base. It was all nasty from the construction of the hall so it's all nice now. Planted a few big firs for the lolz and started a few bon fires. Next on the list: Finishing the dock with 3-4 slips, as you can see, I've started construction Terracing the rear or the base with large stone planters Extending the defenses on the shore side of the hall and around the back, these little greyling fuckwits keep getting in Community build event to revamp the main base? The interior needs some sprucing up with our more advanced skills Clean up the transition areas between buildings and make it nice for any new FG member who arrives Maybe extend the base out to the main alter? It's close enough

Nah, All the streamers and content providers are too chicken shit to play the upper tier. The would much rater find the 0.4 KD players to exploit. Every complaint I hear about SBMM is that it makes the lobby to hard for most people because people now have to compete with simillar skills. I doubt that the same people would go into an upper tier and make their life difficult intentionally. I remember being in lobbies with Mike, Kyle, Jake, Sam which pretty much meant a win. I'd struggle to get 5 kills before it was all over while Kyle would get a back to back sniping nuke or the team would win a domination match 200-0. That's why SBMM exists

Murph has been explained to me. He can't honestly remember his best time as it was 6 or 7 years ago but it was sub 1 hour. His latest challenge with some friends is a 4 mile run every 4 hours for 48 hours and no cheating running 8 miles and having longer recovery...every run starts exactly 4 hours after the previous run started! Madness!

3/8/2021 Workout 5 Rounds: 12 dumb bell squat cleans (45lb pair) 250m row Bonus: 8 Rounds: Tabata Push-ups Thoughts: Sometimes, I wonder if my coaches are trying to throw me off my game. I walked in, then was told to go to a different square.. more... inside the class as opposed to my square that is on the outskirts. I thought to myself before walking in, "This should be fine. It's a good workout. I hate cardio, but there's lifting... and we don't have to go heavy. Maybe like, 15lb pair. Pure cardio. Right? My traps are sore anyway. And, it was a high-carb day yesterday." Then, Coach Liz puts me in a different box. I said, "You mean the other box right? My second usual box?" I said this as I saw a lighter weight in the other box lol. She said, "Nope. You're in the front left box today." Mmkay. Maybe we'll just change the weights later? After the warm up? Did the warm up, which I always laugh about because it's a workout in itself. Then, she was checking in on everyone with weights. Coach James was working out with us this morning and was in the box in front of me. Coach Liz said, "Everyone good with weights?" She looks at me. I said, "Maybe something lighter?" Coach Liz and Coach James paused and stared. Coach James said, "See. The problem with going to the squat workshops is that now everyone knows you can squat over 250lbs... and we've seen you squat clean at least 145lbs when you've dropped the bar on Saturdays." Coach Liz, "Go lighter, she says. Hah! Such a joker over there." Me, "But... hopes and dreams? And.. cardio?" So, did the workout. Really hated all the cardio while I was doing it. But, still glad I did it. When I did my final pull on the rower, I unstrapped my feet and just plopped on the floor, gasping for air. But, the fun didn't stop! Because, TABATA push-ups for 8 rounds. Last time we did it, I didn't necessarily understand why people rested face down on the floor. Oh, I totally did this time. My goal was to do 7 - 8 pushups each round... Helps me just not quit. My upper body is a bit toast today. We cooled down, sterilized everything, and went on home. I walked out the door and saw basically the perfect emoji for today's workout. Some apathy mixed with some tears and a slight relief of getting it done.

Yep @GazzaGarratt, fixed the year too, it's a '68 not '69. Have had it 20 years now, my dad and I built it back in highschool. Bought it 2001, painted it in like 2006ish. That picture is a few years old but it was taken in the town we live now so it's current. Have not driven it in a few years which is killing me. Need to dump some money in it for new suspension, the 60 year old components need some love after a massive pot hole was hit a few years ago. I plan on dumping another 20k into it so just waiting. This is a body on frame car and they make some killer aftermarket rolling chassis's these days. They come with all new suspension too so that's like 12-15k right there. Have been working on the house for the last 7 years so it's on the back burner for now.

OOOO cars!!! I'm 36 have have had 40 vehicles thus far, current stable is the mentioned '05 R53 Mini JCW, my '68 Pontiac LeMans, and our '58 Chevy Apache.

More time in Frostpunk! (I'll get back to Valheim.. promise!) I started over. Again. Because the Londoners problem was plaguing my brain. How do I get rid of you people who just want to riot? Because I really don't want to pick religion as a way to appease the masses lol. Day 21 on this iteration. I have become okay with a handful of deaths (about 4 this time around) since I can harvest their organs! Sweet. Better healing and using up a body. Good deal. My Londoners haven't grown beyond 31 people in a handful of days. My people are not freezing to the constant, insane amount of temperature drops (really.. REALLY? Did you just drop me 2 levels on heat for a couple of days, then drop me another 2 levels? Fine. I'll figure out how to make houses!) My people get to eat normal food sometimes, but also sometimes soup with all the extra mouths to feed. And the 34 damn children our scouts found outside somewhere.. Useless mouths to feed. Go work in the Infirmaries and earn your keep! I got to end my run last night without feeling like I need to start over today when I open it back up. This game is so... unforgiving.

These are fantastic. Thanks for sharing them! For us in the US regarding, we're all still doing the 65+ age groups and those who are more vulnerable due to various medical conditions. I think I'll be able to get my first dose in April. Somehow, I haven't even gotten COVID yet even though @TurboR56Mini did, and we're pretty much always within 10 feet of each other every day haha.. I also go out more than he does for gym and work.

Has anyone tried the new Outbreak mode? I really enjoy it, it's more free world than a restricted zone which makes it more interesting imo and the maps look gorgeous (Blackout kind of vibes) which has led to the possibility of the 4-5 maps that are in Outbreak may be the new Warzone map which is coming soon. My only gripe is because there's so much to do and the maps are quite big, it takes a while between maps/objectives to repair armour/pack a punch/killstreaks etc. We played 4 hours straight the other night and only managed to get to Level/Map 8 and then exfilled.

So the AUG/M16 is back as the meta on Warzone after they finally decided to fix *some* of the attachments with Cold War weapons...

I dropped a few hours into Frostpunk last night. It's literally all I can think about. It's a giant puzzle to me. I got to day 21 until I said, "Yeah. I need to redo this." Everything was going well! I found survivors, one of the automated machines, was starting to have a growing city even if I was cursing about getting more mouths to feed. I had barely any discontent.. like zero. High hope! Only 1 death by day 16 due to the crazy man not wanting to amputate his limb to live. I basically said "F*ck it. Go die. You're going to be useless anyway." To which, @TurboR56Mini laughed at how my dislike for people in general kept coming out of my mouth. Then... Then... the god damn Londoners. You prissy bastards. I gave you warm shelter, REAL FOOD (not soup!), infirmaries, and cops. Yet, no? NO? You still keep growing numbers? WHY?! So, I'm going to try again. I'm going to research slightly differently.

I won the Oculus Quest 2 in the end. Bit weird I had to give my bank details to the Nigerian Royal family to verify my identity and claim the prize but I look forward to receiving it in the post in about 12-16 weeks😎

Yup. You can pause. I pause immediately once it starts to try to figure out where to build and what to build. Every.second.matters. Your citizens don't want to work after a certain hour even if their lives depend on getting enough coal to survive the night. What's sort of funny is that these "people" trekked the blizzard wasteland for days, and somehow can't survive a night? Like. Wut? It's a giant puzzle to me... one that I desperately want to figure out. We got all the DLCs, so there's even a prequel to try out. I am trying to be okay with people dying. Trying. But, I can't get there.. Not in the beginning. I think after a few in-game days, okay. But not in the beginning. It's a different stressful game lol. I love games that involve tons of thinking and problem solving. And, I really really want to get my town off on the right foot before it gets more difficult!
