It's a lovely game and I'm looking forward to playing more. Particularly getting in a ship and going to do what Vikings do😁

I caved. Cos its Vikings 😄 I must say the first play yesterday was really good fun with @phil bottle and @tronic44. It has much more of a chilled survival game vibe than other ones. Graphics are strangely pleasing - mainly because some parts have a slight Minecraft feel (don't be put off MC haters!) but in others there's some truly amazing views. Just looking up at the sky is incredible. Building wise, the snapping takes a little time to get used to but as soon as you work out the Hammer is used to craft and build stuff you can make things so quickly. The combat feels fairly simplistic but I think it could become a little deeper as you go further into the game. I don't think its the game's main focus if i'm honest so i'm not too bothered about it. The map looks huge!! Lots to explore and discover. Theres also random Rune Stones stuck in the ground to read that gives you extra hints and tips along the way. Nice little touch. What else? It has exploration via the Seas! We didn't try it yet but the thought of building our own boat and exploring the map is definitely something I can't wait for! All in all, a great initial start and definitely has legs in it for 15 squids. Lets hope more things to craft as we get into it more. Some streamers are also raving about this a lot too over recent days.

So, after some great suggestions (thanks Connor @JamaicanSteve ), lets give Goal of the Month a go and keep it up through 2021. Here's how we'll get it to work: Take a little video of your goal using the PlayStation record function and upload to YouTube. Post your video in the Videos section on FG - shout up if you can't find any links When posting, add your video to the 'Collections' > FIFA FG GOTM - February 2021 or whatever month we're in Once the month is over between us, we will get a Poll up for the GOTM - Poll will last for one week Winners announced at the end of the poll! If this takes up, then I'll maybe look at potential prizes perhaps...but lets not get ahead of ourselves as something like this really needs ALL of your support to make it fun and worthwhile. We'll evolve the process as we go along each month if we have improvements to make to it. Right now I don't mind if the goals aren't within the FGFC specific Pro Clubs nights. I want people to feel included even if you just only plat FIFA Ultimate Team at the moment. Lets see your best in the videos section and if we're lucky, we'll try and do a compilation to put out there in coming months on here and the socials! 😄 GGFG! P.S. Any questions, pop them in this thread so we can all see what thoughts you have and questions you need answering, even if its just navigation around FG questions.

It's a sad state of affairs, that Warzone the "Center of their attention" is a glitchy, laggy, buggy mess full of hackers. The OG's and the fans that built the franchise are getting left out. Without the MP over the years it wouldn't be what it is a billion dollar enterprise. With all the money they have churned you think they could support a decent MP. It's funny people talked about a "COD Killer" for years. They are managing to do it all by themselves. Once the BR trend is over and something better is out. It will all be too late to draw the old players back. Activision truly deserve any misfortune they receive over the coming years. Would laugh if they went bust.

The 3070 will draw between 450 and 500W. I'd recommend a 650W PSU minimum to be safe. If you can find a 3070 that is😁

Is it worth it? 1 MILLION PERCENT YES! Black Flag was incredible for me. Great story, combat and quests were really cool. Sailing the boat was just incredible and getting into Pirate Wars was something brand new. I got addicted to the side game on mobile aswell which impacts what you do in-game. I don't think anyone has done a better app that integrates and impacts the game as much as this one. You have to do it Sebba! @ChaosGladiator

Just thinking we need to capture what things we should do to help the following: Extra places we need covering and work at Balancing out the places so we can swap through the night For instance, I know I regularly hold the LB position which isn't a problem for me as I don't mind people taking the more favoured spots attacking, however I also should put more time in with my LW and maybe even my CF when possible because others might want to try out LB and on nights where we may need a LW/CF I could then play that role for a number of games. So, my 5 builds currently are: LWB LW CF CDM GK I actually think we need a few more right sided players, like a RWB and RW builds. I also think if a few people can have some builds as CB then we have a number of positions we can cover. We should all at least aim to have 1 attacking and defending position covered if possible. I don't have a CAM build because I also know so many people love that role, so i'm really not that bothered in it - i'd rather compliment others around it. (and, yes, eventually i'll give it a go in goal. It would be cool to have a full 11 for a few games!) So thoughts please. We're lovely each session of late so lets talk what you think we should do - especially for people that may be new to Pro Clubs that are thinking of joining in the fun!

So much stuff going on but will try the latest patch which has just gone live. I'm told, in addition to the new missions, its the most stable the game has ever been. I will see about that 🙃

If they did something like this then it would be a great ongoing MP alternative that would likely sit next to Warzone and they could easily apply microtransactions through this model as they already do with Mobile and Online. I just don't know why they keep making a game from scratch every year especially when they never get better and are always riddled with balancing issues. I tried COD Online a few years ago and it was great because you could play with MW2's weapons on Black Ops 1 maps for instance. I even got an AC-130 on Nuketown in one match! There were so many weapons in the game and you never knew what map would pop up - you could play on a WAW map one minute, COD 4 the next and then a MW3 one. If Activision commissioned a game called 'The Call of Duty' or something and made available 50 maps and 500 weapons from all the big games and just let people get on with it, it would be a huge success and players would remain engaged rather than departing or having to play the old games as a standalone and then not spending money. Something like this could be good for 3+ years and as you said above, it could run like Siege and Overwatch. Many players are flocking third party clients on PC like IW4X for COD4 and MW2 along with Plutonium MW3 and BO2 which look great fun. Not only are those heavily supported by the creators but they also have a solid anti-cheat and content that even improves the old games such as custom maps.

Second, I know I have never really liked the franchise, but I don't know what people keep expecting year after year from these games- they have always been shallow games and were designed to be annual sellers.

Potential add on to the above theory which I think has a high probability of being true: The head of Sword was experimenting with Vision as they are trying to recreate Ultron. I saw this earlier I think this could be true @Macca89 @GazzaGarratt @Misneach_

Fabulous! Once I get Turbo's computer sorted, we will probably play together at least. And hopefully with the FG crew. I have a knack for getting myself in trouble in these types of games due to my curiosity. Always getting scolding for poking something I should have left alone lol.

Pretty sure there was a Male/Femal option at the start. From what @phil bottle said is that even better is your character's skills and build, etc can remain the same across multiple saves and other people's worlds. This is an absolute godsend for me as sometimes you want to play a new world without all the grind of leveling up stuff. Great addition.

I'm teetering over the fence to buy this and play around. For those who have played it, are the characters only male based? Or, can I rock a crazy viking woman? (Things I never cared about until I played Mass Effect lol) Viking women were kickass.

On a completely different scale Dave so 1 million percent yes. Thats doesn't mean Darkness Falls 7 Days mod isn't good but it gives you a different mindset which I enjoyed.

Is it more forgiving than Darkness Falls?

I actually forgot about COD online and that looked excellent. So I agree that's what they should do with the franchise.

I loved Treyarch up to Black Ops 2 - BO3 was decent but the lack of a campaign in 4 along with pathetic post-launch Support really annoyed me. The relationship they have with the community is also in a really bad state now and it will never likely recover. They should've never reformed Sledgehammer - instead merged IW and Treyarch and then built a single game that could be supported for 3 years rather than a new one every year. That boat has sailed now though and a good time to have done that would have been after WW2 - MW2019 could've been the foundation. Cold War was a step backwards in a few regards such as the animations and engine so it's a bit of a mess really. This year we'll probably get Advanced Warfare 2 and SHG will be taking over Warzone which will lead to another dead MP after xmas and calamitous Warzone changeover. Consoles really needed a universal game like COD Mobile or COD Online. Huge missed opportunity.

Been thinking about that but the one thing that sort of goes against that way of thinking is the competitive scene, surely you need a decent 6v6 mp to feed e-sports.

On my first run back in my heart initially sank as when I loaded in my fps was showing as 18. However, within a few minutes it was to to 60, which I don't think I've ever seen before. Did a delivery mission and everything ran well. I'll have another go today for a longer stint.

Report back after you've checked it out. I wouldn't mind re-installing and checking it out again.

Yeah for sure, also going the beer and burgers route this year👍 I usually start at least half hour behind so I can skip half time show.

Good to see both the Audi and Peugeot getting nerfed. There will always be best cars but those two being the fastest at almost every track was getting boring. Fingers crossed the balance is more even now so we’ll see different cars being the best at different tracks. Though it does mean creating more gr4 paint iobs than just the Audi and Peugeot 😞 😆

I created a single player world and opened it up to LAN. It was done on my PC. My daughter successfully joined the LAN world on her PC. Your last statement is correct. He can only join if one of us are on first. He is using his PC. Thanks for your help. I'd love to figure this out.

Having played almost all of them, I would highly recommend Black Flag simply for the ship battles alone! Main character is possibly one of the most likeable in the series after Ezio. If you would enjoy being more of a pirate then an assassin then you’ll definitely enjoy Black Flag and from what I remember there was plenty to do with plenty of side quests and activities like Fort taking and fighting other ships in a storm amongst lots of other things. Really good graphics for the time (some of the views are pretty spectacular if you get through the island jungles) and it’s a good storyline if you enjoy that side of the game as well

I've dumped over 100 hours into this so far and I'm not even close to finishing the story. I'm finding the combat is just terrible. Whatever you think you knew about "parrying" in games, throw it out the window. For some reason, instead of hitting a button jst slightly before an enemy attacks, you have to hit it just as the enemy is starting its attack. Its really bizarre and frustrating at times due to the windows constantly shifting. Stealth is garbage. There is literally no reason to be stealthy as there aren't really any concequences. The graphics (Especially in 4K!!) sound and exploration are al top notch but i feel the game is too big. After 100 hours, I should've been done and waiting for DLC. A lot of the different areas all succomb to the same mundane activities like destroy cursed symbol, gather wealth, complete/solve mysteries etc. etc. I suppose if i enjoyed the combat more, i'd be more inclined to grind it out. But as it stands, I really need to stop and take a break here and there.

I've not done a LAN world but knowing how it's done for other games, shared worlds on consoles and normal servers; As I understand it, a LAN world is effectively a single player world opened up for those on the same network to join and the person who set up the world initially, hosts it and acts like the server. Which with a regular server, the server stores the world files, world state, player data etc. and with a few exceptions isn't downloaded to the individual players PC/device. If that holds true for a LAN world, then whomever set up the LAN world would have the 'server' files and everyone simply connects to it. This would mean then that the 'host' would have be online for the world to be online and for other players on the LAN to join. Assuming that's correct though, if you set up the LAN world and your daughter joined it wouldn't make sense she can join when you're not on. So let's set this out logically; - You created a single player world which you opened up to LAN? I presume this was done on your PC? - Your daughter successfully joined your LAN world. Is she using your PC or on her own PC or cross player compatible device? - Your son then joined later but can only join if you or your daughter is online? Is he using your PC or on his own PC or cross play compatible device?
