  1. The scenario: No Rules Cup. You can be offside and be anywhere on the pitch as there are no rules.   Winning the game 5-3, @jordie1892  takes a huge pot shot as they bring the keeper out following a late attack.   Enter @Macca89   Classic FG.

    Superbowl 55 predictions

I'll be watching, have to say my level of respect for Brady has gone up this season, as i think he has done a great job at TB, but I'll be rooting for the Chiefs. Should be a great game!

  3. This thread is dedicated to discussing WandaVision as it happens week by week. So only read if you are up to date Currently just finished episode 5. I think I may have worked out the plot after the revelation of X-Men universe Quicksilver at the end. So obviously it seems like a huge revelation right now that Quicksilver has seemingly hopped over from the Fox (now Disney) X-men universe. I do think, however, this may be a misdirect. Wanda clearly didn't know that was about to happen, she didn't cause it to happen. So my theory is: Someone is trying to make Wanda happy for a reason. They are trying to extract some form of power from her, potentially from her kids. It's clear she wants the kids to grow up by forcing them (killing the dog as a ploy to get them to grow older again). Her kids in the comics are Wiccan and Speed which have the same powers as her and her brother. I think it is either Agatha Harkness and / or Mephisto posing as Quicksilver from the Xmen universe, or they have actually plucked him from the other universe (and are manipulating him). I would tend to go towards the first option however. I think they tried to view the MCU version of Quicksilver to fool Wanda, but Mephisto/Agatha potentially got it wrong and viewed the Xmen version fo Quicksilver, and assumed he looked the same. This however has now opened up all the possibilites for multiverse and getting whatever Xmen characters they want going forward As for how this all started in the first place: The new head of sword (forget his name but the generic looking grey haired guy), they are basically there to create and design new weapons. It looks like in the episode they even have Vision cut up into pieces, and use his body for research and creating new weapons and tech. Wanda was shown in this episode getting his corpse back and presumably taking it into Westview. Now, it was basically told to us that she cannot bring back the dead with her reality powers (this would be too OP, even for her). What I propose she has done (or maybe Mephisto/Agatha) they actually took the mind stone from another reality, and are using it to reanimate Vision with the help of Scarlett Witchs powers (the mind stone is shown briefly in a trailer clip). Now as you know from Endgame, the Ancient One states that you cannot take a stone from another reality and keep it, as this has disastrous consequences for that reality. Whatever reality she has taken it from (probably the Xmen one), is slowly causing huge issues for the multiverse, which will then in turn lead up to the events of Dr Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness, which she is also going to be a part of. Also, in the upcoming Loki TV show, it is the version of Loki that takes the space stone as well, this will probably make the problem even worse and accelerate the issue. If you have seen the Mandalorian I think they are basically doing the same with this. The Mandalorian was used to seed loads of spin-offs and big world building events for Star Wars (examples of Boba Fett and Ahsoka upcoming TV shows). I think they are doing the same with WandaVision, and expect to see some other big reveals going forward. But also the small things they just mention (like them getting an expert in to create something to get through the barrier). This has a high probability of being Reed Richards (aka Mr Fantastic from the Fantastic 4). This will be seeded in WandaVision for a future Fantastic Four film in the MCU. Another is that Monica clearly has powers she is trying to hide for whatever reason. As the scan on her body didnt work and she refused a blood test. Assume this will be followed up in Captain Marvel 2 Anyway these are my theories / thoughts

Race 1 - 8 Laps Tsukuba Gr.4 A few of us had practised this combination over the weekend with most of us having decided on what car to use. That was until an update the day before the race rebalanced the cars. A quick check of the leaderboard soon told us the new fastest car but it was going to be a rush trying to get used to it. Qualifying; This week saw qualifying start off in some rather unusual circumstances - Rather than Mike apologising, Mike was being apologised to! This didn't distract Lurch though who crossed the line first and setting what would be provisional pole until Kiwi crossed the line around half a lap later. I followed Kiwi across the line slotting myself in to second place and bumping Lurch down to third. Over qualifying Phil managed to get a good lap together to finally take third on the grid leaving Lurch to take fourth. All the time Lee was getting more and more angry at himself as he was failing to get near his optimal lap time or the time he managed in practise meaning he had to settle for fifth. I improved my lap time but was still second though, with my optimal fast enough for pole, on the pnultimate lap of qualifying I got my lap together to take pole by less than 0.1 seconds from Kiwi. Race: A rolling start saw us all reasonably separated and so turn 1 was clean but with everyone trying hard it didn't take long for mistakes to happen. The first victim was @Stretch616 , running wide through the middle chicane but through skill (or luck?) managed to hold it. By lap 2 the pack had closed up allowing Lee @GazzaGarratt to make a nice pass on @phil bottle at the final hairpin to move up to a podium position. This was shortly followed by @slamminbones trying a similar move but failing to pull it off and running wide and costing himself a few places. Sadly this followed by Stretch running wide through the final corner causing himself to fall down the order. Out front, I was slowly pulling away from Kiwi in second until a mistake at the start of lap 4 saw my lead halved and down to just 0.2 seconds by the end of lap 4. A few more unforced errors with Matt running ride through the middle chicane before hitting the wall and Bones copying Stretch and running wide through the last corner saw further changes to the order. I had been eeking out a gap to @JBR-Kiwi but an unforced error of my own at the final hairpin meant I had to go defensive against Kiwi through the final corner and turn 1 of lap 7. Kiwi took the lead in to turn 1 but being on the outside he couldn't hold on to it. Through all the action and mistakes, Bones had caught up with Stretch and tried a repeat of his lap 2 dive at the final hairpin. Bones keeps it on track this time but Stretch gets the switch back causing them to run side by side down the back straight, the final turn and the start finish straight. Sadly for Bones a misjudged braking zone for turn 1 saw him off in to the gravel leaving Stretch to easily keep his place. And so began the final lap with the win up for grabs, I was in the lead but bumper to bumper with Kiwi in second. Kiwi took some unusual lines in trying to find a way passed with me taking defensive lines through the final hairpin and corner to take the win by a little over 1 tenth of a second. Final Result: Race 2 - 9 Laps Mount Panorama Going in to this race, it was always going to be tricky. Gr3 cars are fast and give plenty of oppurtunites to make mistakes going over the mountain where there's no run off areas and lots of walls to get penalties from. Qualifying; From practise it was looking likely that I would take pole with Kiwi lining up second on the grid. However qualifying didn't start well for Kiwi who managed to spin on the final corner of his out lap but a quick reverse up the track saw him start his first qualifying lap at normal racing speed. I cross the line first but with a lap overtaking Phil and a mistake saw Lee initially setting the pace with a 2:03.7 lap, almost 3 seconds faster than his PB in practise. Kiwi manages to get a good lap in though and takes provisional pole following half a lap later by me taking provisional pole. In the middle of qualifying, Mike has time to play deceit when Matt asks him what his time is and Mike gives his optimal lap time rather than his actual - sneaky! Phil who has been down the order gets a clean lap in to take provisional fourth but is promptly beaten to by Mike dropping him to fifth place. At this point, I nail an almost perfect (for me) lap and scrape a 2 minute dead lap time causing Lee much disguist. Lurch closes out qualifying by jumping himself from seventh to fifth on the grid and further demoting Phil. Race: Due to the extremely short start/finish straight at Mount Panorama, the rolling start didn't work out for some as it started them on the last corner and causing Matt @Misneach_ to fall back from the pack much to his annoyance at not being able to get a tow up the hill after turn 1. Lee made a great start though and with the tow from Kiwi makes a move in to turn 2 which after some battling Kiwi holds his place as Lee falls back a little. Sadly Lee's race soon takes a turn for the worse as he runs wide at the final corner of the mountain and the game reset him costing him valuable places and his sudden re-appearance causing Stretch to also hit the wall. This saw Stretch fall backwards with Matt right on his tail which starts a fight that gets picked up a few times through the race. Lee making a recovery chases down Phil until Phil runs wide on the last corner of the mountain allowing Lee to take fifth place. Phil doesn't give up though but following Lee over the mountain on lap 4, dips a tyre on the grass and spins. As Phil recovers he holds up Matt a little who is then caught by Stretch to continue their battle. Sadly for Matt, he gets a little loose out of one of the corners and with a little tap from Stretch spins right round (baby, right round) but ever the gentleman, Stretch waits for Matt to recover and retake his position. While all this has been going on down the field, Lee still recovering from lap 1 catches Lurch in fifth and following a side by side battle over several corners, Lee emerges victorious. This is short lived though as the following lap, Matt recounts his excessive penalties and distracts Lee which allows Lurch to retake his place with 1 lap to go. Lee now mostly on his own starts the final lap only to begin the celebrations a little early with several doughnuts at turn 2 letting Bones and Phil to gain an easy position. To give credit where credit is due though, Lee follows up the doughnuts with some nice drifting going up the mountain Final Result:

I think it will be an ace game with some serious yards racked up hopefully. More then happy to shoot some warzone on the build up or have a party chat during if people want to get involved?

  9. So after many years away from PC gaming and therefore football management games I have bought the latest football manager on the switch. First impressions are pretty good and the level of detail to get used to is quite impressive also the way you can watch the games in classic championship manager text or watch highlights etc I think is really good. I made the fatal error as starting as Coventry so won my first 2 friendlies 2-0 and 3-0 and then played two semi decent teams and got smashed both times, I can't wait for the season to start! plus with Coventry I get the added bonus of 0 wage and 0 transfer budget 😄 Does anyone else have this on switch? would be good if anyone has and setup tips or beginners setting I should know. As I say its been a loooooooongg time since I played a proper management game. Ill also keep you posted on this thread of my epic downfalls and anything else I find. GGFG!

  11. Has anyone else played Destruction Allstars yet? Gave it a play last night and its pretty good so far, it could possibly get a bit monotonous as there are only 4 game types. To me it seems a bit like Overwatch crossed with Destruction Derby. Its really easy to pick up the controls and you can modify characters a bit when you earn coins in the events too.

  12. Yeah I wasn't planning on it being a main game just yet. Watch a few streams and seen a few people talking about it. I think like @Antpool84 says above, its lacking a little variety of modes at launch but also the party system doesn't seem to offer too much help. I saw Two Angry Gamers on twitch having to count down and click the search at the same time because they could n't get in the same game (i think that was Team Mayhem mode). I've downloaded it so will give it a go over the weekend. Can't believe they haven't got the party group up system right though. First Fall Guys, then this. 2 prime games that are perfect for large groups and they can't see the market opportunity.

  14. I haven't played one in ages too tbh George @G_dub52 ! I suppose managing games back in the day I usually focus time on: Transfer List - picking up any frees or out of contract people at the end of the season Formation - usually trying to figure out one that scored lots more and not worried too much about defence Squad - Tried to get 2 players per spot so I could cover each position incase of injuries Development - Use the Under 21/23 squad to feed additional players into the squads. Usually each squad has a gem in there somehwhere I did think about playing one that we all played to then share the best signing people have found, etc but I'm all over the shop with games. Would you play a PC one if you had the chance mate? @Findmartin and me were always on the PC Championship Manager versions. I'd snap one of those up in a heartbeat.

  15. 2/4/2021 Workout 5 Rounds: 20 Box Jumps 15 Supermans with 1 second hold 10 Jack Knives 10 Pike Push Ups Thoughts: Things I tend to enjoy - classic HIIT workouts. I also really love box jumps. However, I really hate doing box jumps on stacked plates and not a real box. Why? Because the top plate will shift, then I lose footing. So, I can't go as fast as I want and properly lock out at top. Also, my age is showing lol. Need to fix that. Averaged 3 minutes a round. Not terrible. I got scaled to pike push ups because I can't do handstand push-ups... and I generally hate wall walks. The pike push up scales make so much more sense to me. I think when I do my 1 workout at home a week, I will add it to my list. At one of the gyms, we used to have 1 day a week dedicated to things we wanted to work on... this is unintentionally happening for me lol. So, I'm also taking a small mental break from the weigh-ins. I usually do my weekly weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays. I might push it out until Sunday. I'm trying to put it all in perspective that getting to the final goal weight was something I never struggled with in a shorter amount of time. The only difference between then and now is 1) weekly weigh-ins and 2) I'm not doing a super strict Whole30. I'll remove the heavy cream fat bombs once I'm done with the heavy cream we have and switch it to coconut cream. There was a pretty tasty and easy dessert I made once which involve whipped coconut cream and fresh cherries that were blanched. I might lean into that. Also, I do generally like myself. My quads are getting defined even more. But, I rarely hold fat there to begin with. My arms are getting more defined. I'm leaning out. My issue has always been trying to lean out my core, which makes sense since it has always been the weakest part of me. Today, I'm debating on doing a workout at home. I want to be fresh for tomorrow's squat workshop, so it might just be a full cardio session on the rower... we'll see.

  16. They lack creativity in the midfield and miss that Kane would always drop deep to kind of help with that which allowed others to play more freely. I wish Alli would get his lazy arse up off the ground and show some desire. He could answer their problems whilst the main man is out injured. And for all the kind words I hold for Eric Dier, its just so disappointing to see how many times he makes a mistake at Centre Back. I just don't think i'll ever get used to him there. Same as Phil Jones at Man Utd. The worst thing for both of these players is they made the switch to be a permanent Centre Back when they are much better CDMs.

  24. Incredibly easy to get running and what a fine experience. Such a tragedy that this never made it to the market because of petty financial squabbles. If you press R1 on the controller, you can also have the classic visuals which is a nice touch. Not sure what happened with the Alec Trevelyan character model (maybe a placeholder) but everything else looks pretty spot on and nicely crafted.

  27. DATE: 3rd Feb 2021 Well today I went out to squat and got folded in half. I've completely over estimated my ability once again. Fuck I hate getting old! I've dropped a Kilo this week already (2.25lbs) from 110kg down to 109kg this morning so i'm in a bit too much of a deficit, I'm going to up my calories and take the rest of the week off from training because apparently my poor nervous system just can't handle maxing out any more. Aiming to get down to under 100kgs. At this rate it should only take 4 weeks lol

  28. I’m on the fence with this one. I mean I’ve been there, done that and really enjoyed the ride but it is something I want to invest all that time into again? It kinda sucks they’re not including the MP or at least some kind of Co-op mode similar to the ME3 MP. I don’t know. It was a great series. 2 rules. Decisions decisions.

  30. 2/3/2021 Workout 1000m Tabata Row THEN 5x5 Deadlifts @ 145lbs Thoughts: First, I made weight... by the skin of my teeth. Body weight fluctuations are such a mental mind f*ck. 3 days before weigh in, I was safely 1.5lbs below goal. 1 day before weigh-in, I was over by .6lb. day of.... exactly at weight. Anyway, officially down 6.5lbs since January 1. Now comes the real work. I wanted to go to the gym this morning, but the snow put a damper on that. By the time our driveway was cleared out last night, I was not in the mental space to wake up at 4:30AM to go to a 5AM gym session. So, I told myself I would work out at home before my first meal and before my fat bomb. Workout was good. Relatively difficult to keep at the pace I wanted in the state I'm in. At 9AM, my body is looking for fuel. It's why 5AM workouts work for me currently. My main focus for today was grip strength. Hence the 1000m row and deadlifts. Never got to do them last week. So, did them today. Food wise... I'm going back and forth in my head on how I'm going to do this. The weekly weigh-ins are a mental burden. Without them, I would probably go ham on high protein, low carb, eat until I'm satiated and throw all care to the wind regarding deficits. Knowing I need to weigh-in, that's a speed bump... and a slippery slope. We'll see. The 4th, 5th, and 6th months of this will be easier as the weight goals are less intense. I'm not looking for a 1 pound loss per week in the later months. I'm also saying this after I mouthed 3 tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter with a few chocolate chips lol after my salmon avocado toast lunch. I love food. I guess, for now, I'll be mindful of portion sizes and be slightly more relaxed on the weekends for a mental break.

  34. My second attempt to watch that George Clooney Netflix film, the Midnight Fart. First time, on my own, I managed an hour before the rage it induced encouraged me to turn it off. Second attempt with Mina and we made it through the whole thing. My advice, save yourself 2 shitty hours of bullshit. None of it makes sense, so many holes, so many questions, it's basically Clooney wanking to himself in a mirror over his acting performance. Just 2 issues I have, out of many: Why, if they found a decent planet were there not a whole shit load of ships ready to take people into space? Why not wait in orbit instead of hiding in caves? Bullshit. Why, when you're surrounded by wolves, and shoot your gun to scare them off, would you then drop your gun, abandon it, like you're not going to need it again, when they will return in 10 minutes to eat you. Fuck off 🙂 Oh yeah, I now hate Sweet Caroline, the spacewalk scene almost had my boot in my tv👊

  37. So I have been doing some pc monitor lurking for a hot minute because at the minute I use a msi 27 inch curved montior for my ps4 and pc but my pc is a monster compared to my ps4 and if you want a 4k setup but also to be able to use all 3 your going to have to wait. I'll explain there is maybe one monitor on the market at the moment that will support high refresh rate 4k gaming for pc but it does not have hdmi 2.1 only hdmi 2.0 To get 4k on a ps5 you must use a 2.1 hdmi setup and there is no such monitor yet. They are coming 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter of the year from the bigger companies. So if I was you being in the same boat I'd wait. Save your money because these monitors will not be cheap as the one monitor that I explained earlier the mrsp on its $800 use. Oh and also curved monitor on fps doesn't take away my fov I feel it actually makes areas stand out more imo

  38. 1/30/2021 Workout Squat Workshop Movement: Front Squats --> 3 seconds down, 3 seconds hold "in the hole", up as quickly as you can. Sets of 3. Add weight until it becomes a set of 1. Thoughts: So, I haven't really front squatted in years... and when I have, it was just doing the movement and not doing anything at a certain tempo. I knew that hold at the bottom was going to kill me lol. It did. My 1 rep weight for this was 185lbs. Surprisingly for me, it wasn't the weight that killed me. It was my wrists being fatigued! I couldn't hold the bar in rack position any longer. This is a very new thing for me. So, I guess I really need to work on my wrist strength? Looks like as I put in my squats at home with dead hangs to finish is a good idea. Both coaches were there today. Plus a different set of people aside from Sally, who I guess is now becoming a gym buddy as we suffer together lol. Other people wanted to see me squat? I didn't think it was that odd for a woman to be squatting the amount I can. But, then again, the HIIT community in my region is weird an atypical of the rest of the US. Not bad for today's workout. I only did 3 workouts this week because I wanted to rest my body for recovery and see how it will affect the scale when I do my official weigh-in on Monday or Tuesday. Aside from the few bites of cinnamon roll French toast off of husband's plate and basically half a naan with my Indian food last night, I think I should be okay. But, you never know. And, I'm not going to stress it. Woo-sa... I might do a quick 1000m row tonight and some deadlifts to balance out the sugar and extra carbs that put me out of "keto". Easier to slip back into keto if I workout in the evening before dinner.
