I've cunted out three people in shops so far this month for not wearing a mask. I also bollock the shop keepers.

  2. Stand outs for me this week were; Rich @tronic44 Brands Hatch is a tricky track and he bossed it getting, I think, his first podium finish. Climbing from 7th to 3rd on a track with so little to no good overtaking places and a lot of places to make mistakes is great. Laguna Seca in some ways is similar to Brands and Rich held his own. Mike @Mikepjbell racing in a compromised position due to his back problems but managing to qualify 6th in every race and gain a place or 2 each race finishing 4th, 5th an 5th showing off his speed and consistency (in more than just hitting Phil). Kiwi @JBR-Kiwi As ever, he keeps me honest up front and often pushes me and challenges me to drive faster. The results don't necessarily reflect how close the racing is at times and I dread to think how close they would be if Kiwi had more time to practise. DOTW - This has to go to Lurch though, new to the game and absolutely smashed it. Qualifying 3rd at Brands, which as I said above is a tricky track, which sadly didn't carry through to a podium in the race. Though he made up for it by getting a podium at Laguna Seca and holding his own around Tskuba.

  3. I thought this would be a great way to start sharing how well we thought others did in the night as no two evenings are usually the same with all of us. I think this will boost some people when they think they might not have done so well but also gives us a little highlight for each week that we can think of how others did, not just ourselves. If we can try and get one up after each Tuesday race night thats the plan but obviously if others can help me get the poll up before I get here that would be awesome stuffs. Its really easy getting a poll up and adding the names. I'll make sure it shows on the Game Hub GT Sport page too! Great racing everyone, keep up the awesome fun we're having! Lots of people here in the US already buy their fruit and veg from Amazon ever since they acquired Whole Foods, which is a somewhat upscale-looking store. (TBH, people who complained that Whole Foods was more expensive actually never checked a lot of prices. They were already on par with regular stores if you compared brand to brand and item to item. It's just not a touch cheaper with Amazon incentives. It's effectively cheaper for me to buy fruit and veg from Whole Foods than a "regular" supermarket now.) RE: COVID in general I'm in the thick of it in terms of my company working with local hospitals and our own "members... we have people working with not only the city and state government but also federal regarding vaccines. A lot of this "mess" in regards to hospitalizations and deaths could have been avoided if people weren't fed mis-information and go about thinking it's a hoax and that masks infringes on their freedom or whatever. I see the data every day. We do comparisons almost every day against year/quarter/month and pre-COVID. This isn't a joke. This is very much real. And, lack of true leadership during the start of the pandemic is one of the causes for the high amount of cases and deaths.

    PS4 VR Thoughts

Using your criteria of the best available and which offers the most versatility then PC wins on both counts. TBH PC wins on almost everything; HMD panel resolution and refresh rates, tracking accuracy, number of games supported, non-game uses (watching movies like you're the only one at the cinema, 360 videos, virtual tours, a number of exercise stuff for VR too or even 3d paint and modelling programs that work in VR etc. The only 2 things I can think PSVR gets close is the HMD lenses; this varies headset to headset but the lenses in the PSVR are pretty good and secondly controllers. Most PC VR has stand alone controllers which vary in quality and while you can get the move controllers for PSVR, the standard DS4 controller will work also. You say you're not bothered about what's cheaper; I think cost has to be a consideration especially for PC VR due to the PC requirements to play in VR. If you need to do PC upgrades on top the of the HMD then it becomes prohibitively more expensive. I don't know what PC you currently have though so this may be a non-issue. Though I suppose the flipside of this is if you want to carry on with PSVR then a PS5 upgrade may be due in the future as the PSVR works on both apparently (if you haven't already got one). Phil mentions motion sickness; this is something to be aware of though potentially not much of an issue. Some people seem to be extremely sensitive to motion sickness in VR (even those who don't suffer it in cars) though this mostly in fast moving games like racing games. It can happen with any VR games though, when I was looking before buying mine, most people who said they got motion sick in VR could build up to playing to the point they don't suffer it any more. TLDR: PC VR v PSVR is the same consideration as regular PC v Console gaming. The experience is largely the same but PC VR has more options and is more expensive but looks better, runs better but can require more set up and tweaking to achieve that versus PSVR which not so good but is simple plug and play.

    Coronavirus

100,000 is an horrific milestone - we were just too slow off the mark to take strong preventative action. The Cheltenham festival should have been postponed along with the Liverpool v Athletico Madrid game. Both those events were responsible for an early surge and a window of action was there to be taken. The most significant one was the amount of overseas people returning to the UK from high-risk places such as Milan and Madrid who weren't tested at either end and nor were they told to isolate. We did get a grip on it through the summer but people became far too relaxed whilst others, especially in the East of England persistently violated any restrictions in place. BLM protests did not help along with the insane numbers at beaches down south. Several politicians have also violated the guidelines they supported which was a huge kick in the teeth. That Scottish SNP one who berated Cummings yet she went up and down the country having taken a test, neglected to isolate and was found to have Covid potentially infected tens. She then claimed Covid impaired her decision making which was the ultimate insult. Thank fuck she has been charged criminally. Labour have been vocal but have offered fuck all in strategic terms - their entire purpose is sit on the fence, point out mistakes after they've happened and then play the hindsight card to make themselves look good. The amount of political point scoring attempts by them through this process has been disgusting and now even the vaccine has gone political with the EU who are clearly still bitter after Brexit. The political landscape in this country is beyond fucked so matter who you follow - they are all a bunch of clueless, dishonest clowns. I've lost count of how many said a second lockdown was an overreaction and not needed and now the same ones area saying we cannot lift the third one anytime soon! The only way out of this would be to take the number of cases down, get everyone vaccinated and then employ strict control and trace methods with enforcement on par with Australia, New Zealand and China. This will no doubt trigger the Piers Corbyn crew of conspiracy theorists and other nutters but it's the only way forward to normality. Thankfully the vaccine roll-out is off to a strong start and the UK currently sits behind Israel in leading the way so whilst other countries in Europe deal with bureaucratic red tape, we can at least set an example in this respect. The good news is the rich continue to get richer especially the mega corporations. Cannot wait to buy my fruit and veg from Amazon and my Newspaper from Facebook in the future.

This or similar viruses will be around for years like the flu is. I can see an annual booster vaccination for this at the same time as the flu jab. I would like to see people who legit can't wear a face mask be issued with a badge to wear by the council or GP then those twats who could but won't would soon get peed off with being abused and toe the line. Another thing to remember is the vaccine stops / minimises the effects of the virus if you pick it up, You can still carry the infection and spread it. If it gets into your system, the vaccine deals with it. If you breathe it in, it can stay local in your throat area and you transmit it when breathing out. I think face masks are the new norm and I don't have a problem with that...once I sort out steamed up glasses!

The number is quite numbing really. I won't get into the political BS - my overall view is they're all a bunch of c u next Tuesdays, regardless what side. The only thing I wonder is if that small minority of people that didn't follow the guidelines from the outset, I wonder where we'd be. Its all ifs and maybes now though, so for me, i'm still following the guidelines and hope others can too (whether we disagree with it or not) and i'd expect and hope we could get back quicker to some things that are more the normality we experienced before this horrible disease was here. I think we all need that huge FG meet up sooner rather than later 🙏 Stay safe everyone. Glad we have this place to still connect us all.

    PS4 VR Thoughts

Thanks to @Greboth, my son has had something for the first time keep himself off Fortnite for more than a day! 🤣🤣 Dax got one for Christmas as we struggled on what to get someone that just does Fortnite on a PS4. He now spends his time split across that game still but the other half is on the PSVR with Five Nights at Freddy's game. He even used some of his Xmas money on the expansion pack rather than more V-bucks!!! Ultimately, the kit works really well. You need a bit of space but not as much as you may think as you can sit down with it. What I would say is you need to also buy the PS4 move sensor controllers separately as i've yet to see one bundle that comes with the VR headset. Strange marketing product design but it is what it is. Lots of wires to be aware of so you need to be just ask them to careful they don't trip up on anything. But seeing the joy he has experience motion games is great to see. He also has Iron Man VR and his autistic side loves this because i can see him shake with excitement when he flies into the sky. How old are your kids again, Clive?

  14. I thought James @Lurch stood out last night after only having a little practice session over the weekend, his times were unreal and although he was unlucky in the first race after spinning out on the first lap, his Laguna Seca drive was superb. I might've passed him if I hadn't have spun off after changing tyres but thats the key - being consistent and making next to no errors rewards you in the end. Special mentions from me for Paul @slamminbones who had some great race speed on Brands Hatch, closest i've seen you in one lap race speed to the top runners and also Rich @tronic44 for driving a solid race on Brands Hatch and finishing 3rd, his best finish to date I believe.

  16. Fantastic bit of kit, absolutely love the quality that it gives. Plus the battery life and comfort is just amazing. I use these for anywhere up to 12 hours a day for work and then in the evening for gaming. My ears don't sting at all after this period of use and the battery is only about 1/2 used. Couldnt live without them now, would totally reccomend

  21. 1/27/2021 Workout 12 minute Every Minute on the Minute (EMOM) 4 hang power snatches @ 45lbs 8 front squats @ 65lbs Thoughts: There I was... just chilling in my square... about to do the workout using only the 45lb bar. And, Coach James walks over and says, "So, you going to put weight on that?" Me: "You're funny. No. This is cardio. This is not 'working on my strength' type of workout." James: "Yeah... but we now have video of you doing 225lbs back squat." Me: "Snatches are not squats... and this is an EMOM. My goal is to survive! I'm just trying to survive." Shale (our strongest member): "We need shirts that say that. 'Trying to survive'" James: How about two different weights. Just the bar for the snatches, but 65lbs for the front squats." Me: "Not sure I have a say in the matter, but it's a better compromise than what I was thinking." I love HIIT. Don't get me wrong. I specifically do it as an attempt to increase my work capacity and not die on the floor gasping for air if I need to sprint for my life. I just like to consider myself realistic when it comes to weights, form, and EMOMs. I don't like EMOMs with more than 10 reps total of anything. Eventually, there's no time to "rest". I also like to not have a fucked up form when I do lifting movements. No, 45lbs is not heavy enough for me to be in perfect form for a power snatch. But, 45lbs is heavy enough for me to survive 12 minutes. Perfect form weight for a snatch for me is like 85lbs. Just heavy enough for me to make sure I engage the right muscles at the right time to do the lift. It was a tough workout. Everyone struggled with it. Everyone said it was much harder than anticipated lol. Still a great workout. Other thoughts... I'm trying really hard to not spiral regarding my weight. This is a problem for me. I have spiraled before, and that led to anorexia. However, difference between then and now is that 1) I actually really enjoy food now and 2) this isn't about me fitting into certain clothes for high school... my desire to lift better means I have to eat properly and not think 400 calories a day is a good thing. Also, keto life. I won't make month #1 goal. But, I know that sticking to my usual keto-paleo life means I'll make weight for the overall goal and then some.

Tbh other than traveling so far it's made little difference to me, the wife's at home way too much for one 😂 but on the plus side I haven't been in a supermarket in nearly a year. I do think some rules are dumb but then so are people in general. I have hope for the vaccine if for nothing else than to be able to hang out with friends. The school's is a big issue, kids can't be home schooled for long periods this has been another wasted year for education and to think they used to moan about kids missing 2 weeks for a holiday, I'm glad my kids are grown up. My daughter and step daughter have had a first dose (carers) and within 3 days my daughter got a positive test. 🤦

Tbh I'm now at a stage where I'm sick of hearing about it, it's been nearly a year and if you don't know what's best for you and your family by now there is something wrong. I think if we all looked after ourselves regarding the rules then maybe we'd be better off, who knows. As for the rules well that's a whole different can of worms and tbh some of the shit that's going on is down right dumb and contradictory. I've been lucky but I do feel sorry for those in industries that have been decimated. As for the government I'm with @GazzaGarratt non of them are worth a shit. Were all different, we all have different experience of this shit show and that ultimately drives our thoughts and feelings. One question of the vaccine doesn't work where do we go from here because this current situation is clearly not sustainable.

If he’ll only be using it on the PS4 then it makes your decision for you as headsets are not interchangeable so the Rift (or any other PC VR headset) can’t be used on the PS4. As the PSVR can’t be used on PC*. *For accuracy’s sake, it’s not strictly true, iVry or Trinus can get the PSVR working on PC but there’s several drawbacks and it doesn’t work all that well so it’s hard to recommend it.

100,000 dead now. Such a big number it's hard to get my head around it. At this point I'm giving up blaming Boris and the Tories. They've been voted in time and time again, I'm sure people loved their benefit sanctions when Cameron got voted in, so May was voted in and then Boris. Like people don't know what these people really are. Boris with his silly hair, how adorable. What a world. 100,000 dead. We got what we voted for.

  33. @LordBaguette so here's what i've found so far. Others can recommend anything else and also say if these are half decent: 27 inch BenQ. 1ms response time and 144hz. £249.99. Tons of reviews that this is exteremely solid and good value for money BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710 27 Inch HDRi IPS Gaming Monitor, 144 Hz 1ms FreeSync Premium FHD, PS5/Xbox X Compatible: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Shop for BenQ PC products at the Amazon.co.uk Computers & Accessories store. 31.5 inch ASUS. 1ms response time and 165hz. £399. Lots of reviews and a bigger monitor, probably the biggest i'd ever go for a monitor. It is curved though so that might put you off if you still care about that. ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved Gaming Monitor 31.5 inch WQHD (2560x1440), 165Hz(Above 144Hz), Extreme Low Motion Blur, Adaptive-sync, FreeSync Premium, 1ms (MPRT), HDR10, Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Buy 24.5 inch ASUS. 0.5ms response time and 165hz. £249.97. Same price as the 27 BenQ however significant improvements and 24/25 inch is a good size if you are eventually looking for dual monitors in the future within your set up (trust me, if you're going PC and staying with consoles, you'll want two monitors). ASUS VG258QR 25 Inch (24.5 Inch) FHD (1920 x 1080) Esports Gaming Monitor, 0.5 ms, Up to 165 Hz, DP, HDMI, DVI-D, Super Narrow Bezel, FreeSync, Low Blue Light, Flicker Free ,Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Buy There are a few more cheaper 24 inch ones nearer the £200-£240 mark that will honestly do you fine if you're looking to save money as thats just under half your budget.

Easy to make in a slow cooker, or I like butterbeans enough that I can eat them straight from the can with some black pepper and hot sauce.

  39. Less chocolate and biscuits lol... yeah. I do love my chocolate and cookies... and biscuits. Anyway. For basics, you could just look at switching up what you eat to be mostly veggies and meat. Ideally, the meat portion should not be any bigger than the size of your palm. The rest of the plate should be veggies. The trick is finding out how to prepare the food, so it doesn't suck and you actually want it. For example, I have serious cravings for sweet potatoes lately. I love them cubed, roasted with oil and seasonings... then topped with a dollop of sour cream (or greek yogurt) with cilantro. Basically, I think we end up roasting all our vegetables lol. It's easy.. and usually tasty. You might find that if you have that, you'll be fuller for longer. For me, if I find that my training ends up making me hungrier, I just finish my meal with half of a really tasty protein shake (do it right, and you can't tell much of the difference between a milkshake and a protein shake). Hungry means you need to fill up on something else. Not really carbs. Fats and proteins will keep you fuller for longer.
