  1. I didn't get much for Christmas this year. I've been really blessed over the past couple of years. I didn't really want anything from anyone. But, I was able to help my son build his first PC. He saved up some money ($200) and gave it to me to put toward his PC but my wife and I just deposited it into his savings account that we have for him. I bought everything for him. We put it together on Christmas Eve and he was able to play it on Christmas. I wrote about it in my PPR here. It was such a blessing to be able to help him with it. We had a blast putting it together. That was my biggest Christmas present. Now I've got a PC gaming buddy 🙂

  2. So the mode is actually great, and i am wondering who has had a chance to play it yet? I have maxed 2 characters it is very addicting. The raids are very difficult but extremely rewarding once you get good enough to do them. The leveling system is similar to Destiny but no where near as grindy. I would suggest playing the original game on at least hard though before going online as it can be tough at times There is like a story mode which has several missions, and then you have survival which currently has 3 maps (all of which have 3 levels of difficulty dependant on your level). There are also the 3 raids which are huge and can go on for hours which you need co-ordinations and mics are a must. There are the 4 classes hunter, samurai, ronin and assasin. All are very unique and fit different plays styles. I started with assassin then moved to samurai. Currently leveling up my hunter though My impressions for a FREE online add on have to be 9.5/10. They also updated it very quickly with quality of life improvements across it after feedback from the community. They really care about the game which is great to see. Id love it if it got a PS5 upgrade eventually. I would say it is probably in my top 3 favourite single player games ever, and the online just sweetens the deal

  3. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! 🎄🤶🎁 Managed to get a few bits of aftershave, deodorant etc think people are trying to tell me something! Also got one of these bad boys made for me by my cousin! 😍😍

  5. Agreed, if everyone's up to speed, from 8pm we can give everyone 5 or 6 laps to warm up then straight to qualifying. Much more likely to be able to fit another race in, plus this week's main races aren't particularly long. I'll aim to set up the lobby from 7.30pm though for those who need the extra practice.

  6. I was lucky enough to get some of things that I love - games and Blackburn stuff. I think Hayley would've also got me FG stuff if it wasn't for the fact she would've had to ask me to sort which would've ruined her surprises. Games wise I've now got Ghosts of Tsushima, PGA Tour 2K21, Mafia Trilogy and Cyberpunk. All for PS4. I got both home and away shirts for Blackburn with my name on the back as I have done for pretty much every Blackburn shirt I won. I feel this years home and away is probably two of the best kits we've had for a long time. I also got some pretty awesome merch from Ready Player One. If you've ever watched that like I have 367 times already, you'll know there's 3 keys in it. And I got those! Hoping to get them on display in my gaming area ASAP. Oh, and how could I forget another Christmas Jumper and not just any jumper - A Destiny one! 😍 Extremely lucky to have the family we have and a wife that lets them know what I'd love to have. I'm also extremely happy my Son got a PSVR. Its the first time hes been on his Playstation for the best part of 2 days and NOT on Fortnite! Result!! 🤣 Loving what everyone else got so far. Especially the Lynx kits and Tommy's sons PC.

  7. Can I ask if we can do something like 20 (or 30 max) minutes for Practice on each of the races this week and see how we get on? I'm thinking it'll help us get more races in and likely keep it pretty even as it won't give too much time for more considered drivers to get their eye in! We should try and find more time between each Tuesday then if people want more time on the tracks and cars. We could then do 3 races minimum perhaps?

  8. Last week was absolutely awesome racing. Having 9 of us in the race definitely add to some more battles throughout the races and great to see new people giving GT Sport a go too. The first race was a blinder foe me personally, perhaps the best it's ever been. I'm getting seriously fast one lap times in practice and sometimes in Qualy, so transforming that into consistent performances is the key part. The first 4 lap race started miserably because after getting the 2nd fastest time in practice, I was back down in 5th after a few scratchy Qualifying laps. However, the road opened for me and I believe Matty @Misneach_ for once as he slowly started to get into the race. A quick battle between him and Mike @Mikepjbell saw Matty lose track position and with Mike hitting the fast chicane barrier full on to lose places on the first lap. @Greboth and @JBR-Kiwi as per usual were battling quite hard for first spot and because I was around only 2 seconds behind it kept me with a fighting chance. On the last lap Greebs and Kiwi went hard into the chicane with Kiwi coming off worse, enough for me to slip past him into second just behind Greebs. I was so happy with that race and reminded I can actually get some consistency. The second race was a killer. We put BoP off so Paul @slamminbones could join us with a Gr.2 car when it was a Gr.3 race which actually made for some challenging and unpredicatable racing. Kiwi had the power with Greebs being left for dead on straights. Mike battled back and forth with Greebs initially, and stuck close by staying ahead of @phil bottle at the same time. A huge long lap saw lower down @jordie1892 do extremely well at navigating himself into the top of the next pack, with myself close behind followed by Harold @Spacedeck . I eentually past Jordie although it took many corners, for us to the both get close again for another battle. We took a corner far too fast and all of a sudden Harold sneaked past, only to unfortunately lose it on the next corner. I feel like if he could've held that corner he would've went on to beat us. An unfortunate mispick of tyres for Mike ended up meaning he had to pit twice which left him 2 seconds behind Phil on the last lap which got a bit tasty until Mike couldn't hold one of the corners. Greebs for all the effort just couldn't close the gap enough on the corners on Kiwi who took a great win when tyres were wearing extremely thin. Super to see @TonyAE86 be around as well Tom @LordBaguette initially, although sounds like he need to sort his controller out! GGFG everyone!

  9. Starting to worry that we could lose Mowbray as our manager after misfiring in the last half a dozen games. We're dominating over teams, but struggling to break teams down. They get one chance and they take. Unfortunately too many fans want instant success but I don't think we're a club that can afford that so we should live in the real world that its a journey in getting back to where we'd like to be. Bradley Dack was back yesterday, as were a few returning players after injury but we need a good run to restore some faith in some fickle Blackburn fans minds that they think any other manager we could afford can do better.

  14. No worries everyone. I didn't think even I would struggle for time and other things around this Christmas week but here we are! Kind of helps the fact you guys could see who won what before me as it was automatically done by the system. Well done to @Spacedeck , @Plumbers Crack and @Misneach_ getting the remaining presents from the Big FGFGF Xmas Giveaway. Hopefully, like @phil bottle says above, it gave many of you something to look at, get behind for a bit of fun and joy as that was the only intention because it was only for existing FGers. Sorry if you didn't win, if we can push through into 2021 to make it a better year (and our lives allow us to be generous in an unstable world to donate a few quid every so often) we can try and do some more throughout the year if this helps everybody? Also, if you have more ideas of things to link other giveaways too then you know i'm all ears to give it a bash if we can make it work. GGFG everybody ❤️

    Back 4 Blood

I think Valve gave it away for free around 2014 but even before then, it was already a very established game with a strong playerbase and excellent mod support thanks to the Source engine. Back 4 Blood is running on Unreal and is being published by Warner Bros which alone rings alarm bells. I think the game does look pretty good but those devs have a lot to prove not being carried by Valve and the price really needs some justifying else it'll be dead after a month. Left 4 Dead 3 under Source 2 would've be bloody ideal and it beggars belief how Valve cannot count to the magic number!

  30. Outside of the usual bath sets, t-shirts, chocolate and jelly beans the most notable was a new lens for my camera (slight fllex 😛) and a blend your own whisky set; where they give you a few different tasting whiskys (smokey, fruity etc.) and the stuff to blend them. So that's going to be some tasty to try out 🙂

  37. Yeah there is always a lot of fluff to pad out the pass, definitely a few good emblems or calling cards usually some shitty stickers. The blueprints are always dogshit indeed agreed. The free weapons are nice. But I do agree the aim assist is wonky at times, no doubts about that. I won't say I never rage a bit at all, but it's just a game and the rage is short-lived. Not that a bloodthirsty is hard, but I swear the amount of times I've died on a 4 streak to some bullshit. Things like that get me annoyed because I like to finish challenges and gold guns. I'm stuck using whatever for ages and I keep mixing my guns and attachments until I get that perfect build. On MW you can gold a gun in 500-700 kills easy. On CW we are talking 1000+ a gun. It's the slow leveling and unlocked challenges you would of done naturally before that time. Wasn't a fan of 100 mounted AR kills a gun on MW, attracts campy boring play. On CW you have to actively take on headglitching bastards for the "Science" camo. That's frustrating knowing you have to challenge sweats with M16's/Augs perched on the worst headglitches known to man. Gone are those good old days like MW2/MW3, BO1/BO2 when the game didn't feel as sweaty. Things were fun and you were desperate to hop on and binge for a few hours. After a bad run of games on CW you feel like a beat dog and have to find motivation to play and hope the next time will be better. The game is still new and can surely only get better. Miami is ass, Cartel with the bushes wind me up. If Cartel was smaller and less bushy it would be an alright map.

  38. There is more to it than that. The battle is 1300 COD points. If you get to level 100, you get 1300 COD point. So playing through the pass is essentially free and you get all of the content, skins, blue prints, XP tokens. I have it, I had the last one. Paying for the first 20 tiers isn't worth it, but the pass costs 0 if you are going to play a lot

  39. I finished up Atlantis last night. It was a pretty big expansion, probably added 30 hours to my play time. One thing I don't like about the game is the enemy scaling. It actually makes the game harder as you level up past a certain point as there's no equipment that keeps up with the leveling of your character and NPCs. You get new abilities, combat can become ridiculously easy with some of the new skills, but stealth becomes progressively harder as you can't assassinate as many NPCs and the "knock out" doesn't scale up as well as fatal assassinations. I won't say why for spoiler reasons, but I tried to be very low death rate in my infiltrations in Atlantis so I wanted to use knock out more. It was challenging, which was fine. You could just cheese most infiltrations with a specific armor set that lets you use your Shadow of Nyx ability for free and basically stay invisible but I didn't want to do that. All in all, I liked the game. Don't look too deep into the morality and hypocrisy of some of the decisions you're forced into and the story is pretty good. The characters are interesting. I'd say it's sort of a combination of the old AC games and Witcher 3. If you liked both of those, you'll probably like this one.

  41. yeah it was the Christmas one and completely agree with you. I really seem to struggle to see anybody on this game in general so any darker maps are not my favourite. yeah got the game and instantly finished up for the night as I knew any further games were just going to be a disappointment 😂. No idea on the SPM, but I will have a look after my next game. I already thought most of the games were a bit sweaty So this is really going to top it off 😁

  45. @GazzaGarrattproduced some very fast qualifying laps for Willow Springs but was unable to transfer that into a 13 lap race. @Grebothran away with it and I managed a second place despite a couple of wobbles. At Fuji it was @JBR-Kiwi from the start with @Grebothmaking some uncharacteristic errors and @GazzaGarrattmaking some characteristic errors. @Mikepjbell took advantage of slipstream down the long straight and left me trailing. Special mention to @Misneach_ getting better every race and giving Lee a run for his money at Willow 🙂 Great racing.🥰 I will suggest a track for next week shortly and if anyone has any preferences I'm happy to change to whatever. For the second race, we will find out next week's GT daily races on Saturday or Sunday.

    Back 4 Blood

Left 4 Dead 3 essentially, just a different name. Looks very good. It'll be all about the shooting mechanics for me. With this and that WH40k game, Dark Tides, due out too, 2021 will be a good year for coop shooters.

  48. Been meaning to leave a review for a few films recently. Tenet. Very good film for action and original story. As with most recent Christopher Nolan films it is shot and directed very well with a good cast of characters and great dialogue, though quick explanations are used to cover the more scientific principles of the backwards action. Lemans 66: Great car porn. Obviously a very American version of events but to be expected when dealing with a historic “victory” over the Europeans. That being said very good chemistry and individual performances from Damon and Bale, and some good racing (and crashes too). Bad Boys for life: I have greatly enjoyed this franchise, but can’t say I was as happy with this film as I wanted to be. There’s still a lot of action and a great relationship between Smith and Lawrence, but just found the whole back story of it all a little off, given they have been partners since they joined. Still some very good scenes and good plot twists but not happy with the route they went with the story and you can tell it isn’t directed by Michael Bay. Again a good film, but just not as epic as I’d hoped.
