Morning FG! January's been one of those months for me but also a lot of people here. I apologise in advance for not being around enough to positively kick you all up the arse to have fun and be merry. I'm hoping a new month ahead and the seeing the games coming out over recent months will give us some fresh playtime fun to get some groups together. I learnt alot about last year, we had a lot of grouping together, did far more activities and game nights across multiple games...actually more than the days we started playing Destiny 1 without it feeling like it! That doesn't mean it didn't take a ton of effort though to sort. Physically and mentally. We hit over 100k posts at FG and I also learned at the end of year our average age of FG is 33. Probably not surprising to regulars but it also shows why we're active at some parts of the year and not in others. The post count states though show we have something we should keep going for the sake of everyone's home from home. We got a bit of feedback from some of you - thank you massively for doing that survey I created. Overall rating out of 10 was 8.29. That surprised me. Can't deny theres a few low scores in that average and that backs up my sentiment that I always think we can make FG far better than it is so it's a place to look forward to stopping by. Things that people have asked want more of: • More threads on various topics • More FG videos • The attitude we all have to one another to help • More events • More PC Gaming • Quizzes Things that people have asked to look into as they need more work, in no particular order: • Calendar and also how to make events more accessible • Grouping up online • More diversity across gamers and countries • More interaction on posts • Consolidate dead spaces on forum • Integration with all parts of FG • More social presence • Images • Streaming • The battle between WhatsApp and use of any FG elements • More people • More regular people • Grab back existing groups of members I'm going to start looking at getting an FG Roadmap installed so you can all see what we're hoping to do in the future and how close we are getting it. We'll also have a suggestion tracker so you can continue to add ideas but in an easier way. Ultimately, we just need to group together and #makeFGgreatagain. I haven't got shirts or some fluffy thing to get you back over to FG like a few years ago. I'd hope that's not needed to make you enjoy this place and that's not why I did that sentiment (although a merch shop wouldn't go a miss). I am enjoying playing Odubs again and on PC it is different. It’s fun playing Widow or Ashe and being able to aim so accurately. Though frustrating to walk round corners and get headshot before you can even register there’s a Widow or Hanzo. Using a kb/mouse is so weird though and I definitely need more practice. In the the middle of fights I completely forget which buttons are which.

Got my 4th win earlier with a couple of Polish chaps - one of which who was streaming on Twitch. Nice to re-watch it from another perspective of us kicking arse! 17 kills for the team - I only got 4 but that's my best so far and supported them well throughout the match. Prior to that I had a string of horrible matches where I could barely get a kill and getting eliminated very early. I'm liking Bangalore a lot with the smoke and cluster missile and that locked one with the decoy looks interesting.

Yes, it's annoying how people take this and run away with it. Also, yes its annoying he didn't realise it would blow up like this. Shit happens. I won't change my opinion on what I think of him because of this. I love Twitter but hate it for partly contributing to this type of news. I think it's best put - Before there is a problem, we already know there is a problem. Ah, the glorious world we live in today. Be good to each other, don't be a total cunt and be happy. I've been getting into Overwatch on the PC, it feels like a completely different game. Apart from that i haven't had a chance to play anything, i'm not sure what i would play to be honest. Although i do need to finish of RDR2!

I just try and use the buzz words that everyone seems to use these days on both sides. I definitely wouldn't use such definitions for people that want to discuss the points in a mature and balanced manner so anyone that is just offended by something for the sake of it or suggests everything is fine in ignorant fashion; I just use the common e-terminology to define them as people like that rarely see sense or are open to a balanced view. In cases like these, both sides go berserk at each other and the central point is never truly talked about, understood or resolved.

I'd personally try and avoid using words like 'triggered', as it kind of suggests people with opinions is a bad thing. It's kind of passive aggressive, along with the likes of 'snowlflake' and 'fragile' and all that bollocks. It's implying that someone else's opinion is less valuable because of their reaction. It certainly doesn't help resole anything. What Liam did, was lay bare the general opinion of black people in our society by people who don't necessarily consider themselves racist. People of all colours and creeds are capable of racism but I'd say Liam touched a nerve and hopefully the discussion around it can be positive, in the long run. A certain ex-member of this forum let a similar incident turn him into a Stormfront bitch, so it's certainly something that needs to be examined. I agree about the hypocrisy. it is sickening.

It's a bit weird that the triggered people seem more mortified about the racism element than the fact he actively went out into public looking for someone to murder within a period of time and not in a moment of madness. Pretty silly thing for him to say in this fragile society especially when such things is literally a career killer. Ironically, I have heard much worse conduct from people like a minority of rappers and their material is celebrated - probably by the same people who are bitching about this Neeson disclosure. I think a lot of people do have thoughts of violence and racism in moments of fury but most hide them. Probably a lot of the social mob have this mentality for added hypocrisy but they simply hide it even though they manifest and project this inner rage behind their keyboards at home in an attempt to tear someones life apart in a different way. The likes of Chris Brown who beat up Rihanna was able to move on and be successful in music and people easily forgot how Cheryl Tweedy/Cole/Vasini/Payne/Smith/Jones etc.. beat the fuck out of some black toilet attendant in her Girls Aloud days and soon after she was seen as the nations 'sweetheart'. Hopefully this Neeson thing will just blow over and people will move onto the next thing they want to be offended about.

I've slowly started to play this on PC. A few of us have it now and I forsee me playing it properly. I need a lot of practice I think, to understand all the characters and specials. It's also very manic.

Liam Neeson did nothing wrong imo. He admitted openly to having very bad thoughts and his actions were unacceptable, but the whole point is that he realised he was going down a very very dark and bad route and which he then managed to avoid. How are people ever going to be open to asking for help, forgiveness and advice when they are questioning their prejudices, if the mob is going to turn on them for admitting to something that goes against the grain ? However, in typical outrage culture fashion he has been unpersonded. Once you are guilty of transgressing you cannot be saved. You are a social pariah and there is absolutely no path for redemption. Best thing ever!! I can switch off pedestrians, make him invincible too! When games are difficult to find for a lad who can't mentally cope with losing, this just breaks it down to be a simple type of Burnout game mode where he can just pick any car, drive around wherever and make the biggest crashes where he wants! Shame it's not in online mode, you could really have some fun with this type of mode. Thanks again!

Here's the trailer for basic info on how Dark Zones and Conflict work. I didn't take too much from the changes in the Dark Zone but Conflict, their new PvP modes section looks interesting and may give abit more depth to that side of the game. From what I can see it will be 4v4 with Domination (Control) and Skirmish (Team Deathmatch). This could be a new type of competitive play. Coming back to Dark Zone the one thing I was impressed by was that there seems to be multiple things to do when you enter 'Rogue' status. It was a great concept initially so I hope this is a high risk, high reward, intense place to play. Thoughts?

Just completed Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the first game but it does have some nice new ideas and the game is just way too easy in general.

Injured Tottenham Hotspur striker is currently in the states supporting the Patriots in the big game. I hear they're (the Patriots) not well liked, but then again I think the Rams have only recently moved to LA (something I still find weird in the NFL). Anyone watching? Live on BBC so I may stay up and watch for a while.

I tend to panic a bit as well, but am also really enjoying it on the PC. I highly recommend it everyone.

So far it’s getting huge reviews from streamers and YouTubers. All say the same thing. The game play is fantastic, movement and gun play feels a lot like Titanfall. The biggest complaints are ammo is scarce and you can only play in a three man team,no solo or duo. I’m going to try it out at some point mainly because I loved Titanfall,still one of the most underrated games and Respawn does the community right

3 wins today and quite a few horrible defeats but what a great game this is and I hope the community sticks by it rather than going back to the usual BR games that have been in circulation for a while now. + Solidly smooth mechanics + Great graphics + Well designed interface visually and in terms of functionality + Deploy system is superb + Communication ping system is simple yet ingenious + Legends add something extra than just being a blank character + It's FREE! + Microtransactions don't seem to aggressive and everything can seemingly be earned in-game + Respawn system adds something new + Map is pretty decent - Armour may need toning down - Semi-auto, energy and burst weapons may need bolstering - Progression needs to be developed It's just a great game so far with far less bullshit than the likes of PUBG and especially Blackout. Whilst Treyarch fumble around trying to balance the fundamentals of their bad design decisions and execution; Respawn have created a solid game with their experience that understands what Battle Royale is all about. It's been a great surprise so far and I think the developers will do a good job if EA continue to keep their noses out of it.

I cannot stress this enough how surprised I am with this game. I am not a BR fan at all but this game gave me chills loading up the first time. The game is really smooth, they didn't reinvent the wheel but the idea of the Legends are really solid. I just wonder if we will see a meta-game in the future.

I quite like how they've done the deploy system too - jumping together with a choice of separating is great rather than just blindly jumping and trying to land with your team. They've really done a good job with the teamwork system especially for those that don't play with mics for whatever reason. It's off to a very positive start and nice to see without promotion, EA didn't have a chance to fuck it up😎

I played a few games last night. I got off to a rocky start as I died basically straight away the first few matches. But then I got better. I really liked what I played as well. It runs well and looks good. It's nice and fast. It's not just another PUBG clone. It's got some nice additions like being able to respawn your team mates and being able to ping enemies. My main complaint at the moment is that you can only play as a 3 man squad. I'd like to see solo and duo added. I think it's much better game than Blackout is. Plus I have more kills in this than I do in Blackout 😂

Most boring superbowl I've ever watched, I don't watch live so I can skip half time bollocks but couldn't wait for game to end. 2 great defenses but there was only going to be one winner.

I''ll be getting this but not at launch. I enjoyed it but the crashes and loading screens are too much. I'm waiting to find out what the finished game is like.

Bought this yesterday and loving it so far! Halfway to level 3 and unlocked some cool comboes. Axe strength is up to 73. Upgraded armor with perks and need to upgrade Artheus' stuff more. Can see it becoming a bit repetative combat wise but have more stuff to unlock and been caught up in the story. Have reached the Light if Anaheim or Alfheim, can't remember, and went into the light and another world or something. Just want to play more!

yes although i still die within seconds... i wish they would add a TDM style mode just for getting to know the maps etc. but other than that, i love this game. even the COOP against AI is really, really fun.
