I think it'll be a battle pass type thing or pure microtransactions. Supply Drops I think are done and dusted now because they are illegal in Belgium and under investigation in multiple countries with an expectation to be banned or heavily regulated. EA and Activision Blizzard are already under criminal investigation as it is for flouting the laws so to swerve litigation down the line and content restrictions on certain countries; I think they'll throw the towel in supply drops altogether. I think they'll focus on COD points being purchasable and then using that as in-game money to push stuff as a primary.

In all seriousness I hope this isn't it, because even Humble Bundle had the good sense to freshen up their Humble Trove after a while. One thing I do like about the Turbo selection is that you don't need mind blowingly good PC specs to run most the games. They picked a selection most people can enjoy. Since I'm downgrading my GPU for sound and video issues I could very well be counting on that lol.

Quizzes are in the menu - at the top on PC, in the burger menu on mobile browser. A limitation of the FG App and Tapatalk is it only shows the forum, not everything else at our home. Hopefully we can change that in the future one day.

I haven't had any significant frame drops on PS4 but everything else sticks out like a sore thumb. It's another shitty Battle Royale that's been executed in shambolic fashion and this coming from an AAA publisher. I don't play Fornite but that F2P game is a prime example of how it should be done across the board from the technical side to the community engagement. We get lumbered with insulting horseshit servers and then fobbed off with bullshit excuses.

20 tickrate servers is also a huge issue.

Shit servers plus a game engine that's not designed to run such a huge map with so many players. The few game I played of Blackout I struggled to kill anybody. It's why I don't really bother with it. Via the FG App

I've found a majority of the time randoms actually seem to get this mode and want to do it right, the level 7 I did was with randoms and we got onto the 7th level with 10 seconds to spare so reviving was the only way to make it through that level 7. The grind for the auto rifle isn't anywhere near what I thought it would be and if you need a light boost its worth it. The gun I found wasn't too bad and I used it in iron banner

Treyarch have released a full of shit statement that's about as bog-standard as you'd expect from this franchise. They're basically saying the population is the reason despite the game performing fine during the beta probably under far greater stress. They've not acknowledged the clear server downgrade from the beta and have given the usual generic improvement' lines as expected. Obviously this crafted statement was probably written under the supervision of Activision via a gun to the head and Treyarch are clearly not this technically simple minded or ignorant. The simple fix is to upgrade to common 60hz servers like all other FPS games run on and then we'll have a game where only balance matters in terms of a fair and quality experience. This is a good game and for it to be ruined so cheaply would be a travesty really. Username is Greboth same as here I do play quite a bit of MC, It’s just I started on a new server a week ago so still grinding .... I mean mining all the resources I need for my build on that server and unlike our resident Plumber, digging big holes isn’t really my thing I’ll still hop on though, I’ll just be in no rush to get my diamond gear or start a big build. As you said you haven’t played in a while, for your new house press F3 and in the top left you’ll see your co-ordinares so you’ll never be lost again. Edit: F3 + G is also useful as it turns on tool tips (or something like that) which shows the durability of your tools. So you know when they are going to break.

I have 80 without doing any bounties. I'll have the auto rifle tonight. Never doing iron banner until I hit 590+. It's hard to compete when there is a level difference and I'm not good at crucible already.

The new era of gamers expect a shit ton with regular updates to games, thus subscription services I can only start seeing this becoming very popular in the next 5 years but maybe not the norm. Parents are willing to pay microtransactions based on if the game is free but a model of paying out each month for parents where monthly money available is so important to most families, I can't see people conforming to this model. It's far easier to make a decision to give a few quid ad-hoc although it's probably more sense to pay out an average payment each month. Discord is an extremely powerful model for text chat and after using for a while it is a great WhatsApp alternative. I'm just not sure on this. Feels a bit too big of a bite of another market currently.

7 clears is pretty tough, best I’ve got so far is 6 clears. Best way to get tokens is to do the weekly bounty, which is 15 daily bounties. Good idea to try and get this done each week I think as it gives 40 tokens which is decent boost. I’m up to 110 tokens just from doing a bit every day without really grinding it.

The server I've opened is for Java Edition and it can have up to 10 friends (11 inc the server owner). So post away and I'll send an invite. So if by the end of this trial we have more interest than 11 players, we will need to look at other server options. This first month will sort of be a test to see how it goes. EDIT: In it's current state, if you're PSN only for MineCraft, we could still make it work if those who planned on playing Java would move to Windows 10 Edition? On further research, I don't think Sony allow cross play on PSN for MineCraft. The list of devices seem to be: CAN I PLAY ON REALMS ACROSS DIFFERENT DEVICES? Yes! Most versions of Minecraft now allow players to get together, regardless of which device they're on. Anyone playing on Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Android, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows 10, Windows Phone, Amazon Fire tablets or Gear VR can play together. Players of Minecraft Java Edition can currently only play with each other.

Having had a look at the list of games they are offering, nothing really stands out to me to warrant another subscription. Plus if these games was purchased at their lowest historical low price, would they even be worth the price of Nitro for a year?

I try and keep my media subscriptions down to a minimum and would rather own the licence or the game rather than having access dependent upon an active subscription. Not a fan in general of services either by subscription or via streaming and I wouldn't want gaming to be dictated by these in the future. I am all for competition in the industry but I am already sick of things like multiple launchers and the last thing I want is subscriptions to manage on top.

I don't need a subscription to play the free games on Steam. I also prefer to have my own copy of a game that won't disappear if I stop paying a monthly fee. I don't really need a another platform for launching games either. No problem with Steam getting some competition, it's in dire need of updating but not sure this is it. Maybe the Chinese alternative to steam, whatever that's called...

I was fortunate to be an 'early supporter' and bought a year pass for Nitro the month it was announced. I guess I get access to their game library for free until 2021.
