It was a bloody good laugh getting in a few games with you lads. some of those party games were absolutely hilarious with the amount of screaming and shouting going on and the team matches were...nice and close 😂

So, Dead Matter, another attempt at beating or improving on DayZ has now entered a closed alpha. I took a punt on it while it was in its funding stage, so I have access to it but can't talk about it due to NDA. There was a bit of an issue with the keys and the game is already been delayed for various reasons so I note that there's a few haters of it already, though I think some people exist just to have angry reactions.

It's another one of these 'choices matter' campaigns similar to how they did BO2 and 3 but I'm guessing it will be fairly limited in terms of the outcome and still as linear as ever no matter how much they try and push this.

When you have a base or spawn point with a bed post up the x,z,y co-ords and I'll sort some stuff out for you. Bonus for playing on our server is you keep your inventory on death, which has saved me more than once! If you're on when either Greb or I are on will give you base tours...Greb's into nuclear reactors and I prefer solar energy. You may also bump into @datfroggieguy who jumps on sometimes... @GazzaGarrattalso may make an appearance before 2021 😘

One of those Marvel ones done by Sony. Venom is a huge character that many kids love - the film though was a 15 rating so it was trying to be rough around the edges but didn't quite hit the spot. I agree with you though, I think the main issue was picking Tom Hardy as Venom. He didn't suit the in-world character even though by the end when he was Venom that was pretty much what i'd expect. No doubt Venom 2 will be an instant hit because of how this was made, rather than being a 10/10 film.

Its the world we live in now, where everyone wants things yesterday so the only way for devs to meet the balance is to say i'll release it early withthe huge caveat that its an 'alpha'. Having said that, they shouldn't be free of criticism, you can't spend your entire lifecycle in alpha. I enjoyed that video and now i have a keen interest in DayZ, it made want this even more because of how sleek it looked. Loved the basebuilding ideas shows and also that perk tree elements at the end would definitely make this stand out like Survival RPG. It'll be interesting to see when they will open it up to more people. Any news on that Phil?

That’s strange man it’s still active and I’m right in the middle of leisure suit Larry 4, and just started Indiana Jones Atlantis. As long as it works I’ll keep coming back. I’m not a torrent guy or whatever the hell that stuff is......just randomly came across this site that hosts a web based emulator (I think that’s what it’s called), and I’ve played through probably 30-40 games. Monkey island series, kings quests, whatever. I don’t really give a shit about the legality I already bought all those games I’m just revisiting them because my PC doesn’t have a slot for floppy disks lol

Watched Venom on Netflix. Infuriating film, as it has elements about it that make you think it could be really good if done right. I don't think Tom Hardy, a good actor he may be, is a good fit for this role and the script was designed for 12 year olds who haven't seen the same formula a million times before.

It's been a while but it was back with a bloody big blast last night! A warm welcome back to Sean @Glen11 , was of our oldest FGers...although his warm welcome didn't stay for long as he was annoting as hell at the top of the leaderboard, prick 🤣 However, not as annoying as Kiwi that managed to dominate everyone through the night, even when the setbacks were set to 5 for a knife kill. Cannot believe he still won that game, i was so proud of knifing him too 🤣 Dave @Plumbers Crack didn't like the knife kills so suggested team play...which we then get royally fucked over and funnily enough he enjoyed that being on Kiwi/Sean/Elliott the winning team 😬 Let's also not forget the absolute roast Kiwi gave us all half way through when answering Elliotts question if he gets Hacker calls in most of his games. He thought about it, took his time, and delivered the line we're all were waiting for: "Well, not really. Cos of i'm usually playing against people that can actually play the game" 🤣🤣 I'll never tire of knowing that one person at the back of the map in a bush is Daveydave @IPSWICH HIGASHI . Greebs set the tome well for most games by messing around with the settings to Evil mode...i think some missed his most eveil pick of One in the Chamber with a Crossbow at the end of the night 🙈 Moment of the night clearly had to go to Didds. I think we all wondering what gamemode we're all playing next - Team Deathmatch or TDM? 🤣🤣🤣 My jaw is still aching from the laughter this morning. You basically pay $30 more not to play the game with the Ultimate Edition - it's like an expensive Ubisoft booster! This is what you got for the premium version a decade ago and now all you get tier skips for EZ digital crap LOL! The standard edition is all that's needed really. If anyone has a next gen console pre-ordered then it's the cross gen standard for them. I can get it for £46 on GMG but I may just wait 6 weeks and then pick it up for £25.

I kind of like funding small developers and seeing where it goes although I don't see me adding any more to the list for a while as I'm up to my eyeballs in unfinished games😅

Ok so here's the deal. Monitors are all about context. If you're coming from a 17" CRT then even a basic little 24" 1080p LCD will blow you away. I've slowly climbed the ladder going through this exact path, and am currently gaming on a 34" 1440p 100hz MSI curved jobbie which cost a pretty penny (£350, still fuck all in monitor terms tbh) but I absolutely love it. I've always said that no matter what you game on, no matter whether it's PC, console, or even a fucking calculator - you're always staring at your monitor, so get something good. Nothing more disappointing than seeing someone spend £1k+ on a fancy PC with a graphics card putting out a bajillion FPS on a monitor that looks like it belongs in a 90s post office. When it comes to gaming, the things you actually interact with are where you need to spend the most money. Controllers, keyboards, mice, monitor, headset, etc. These are the things you're in direct contact with every moment of every gaming session so make sure it's exactly what you want, and that you're happy with it. @phil bottle has pretty much reached the pinnacle of affordable stuff with his ROG monitor, going another step up from that is - and this is no exaggeration - an increase of about ten fold. Monitors are second only to GPUs when it comes to diminishing returns. The more you pay, the smaller the bells and whistles get. 4k is a waste of money. I've been in this game long enough to be able to tell you that 4k gaming on the ps5 won't be 4k. It'll be pre-rendered cut-scenes and any gameplay will either be massively reduced in quality, or it'll run at 5fps. It'll very likely chop down to 1080p, or 1440p if you're lucky. To reliably game in 4k on a PC, you're looking at double, or even triple the price of a PS5 for the graphics cards alone. And that's on the lower end of the scale. To get good FPS, you're looking at a pair of 2080 supers, which will cost you £1500, and then you need the rest of the hardware to feed them with enough juice and enough pixels to render. A good 4k gaming PC is easily north of £3k, and that's without monitor or peripherals. No console is coming close to that for a long, long time. For refresh rates, 1ms is wasted on consoles. Unless you intend to go all competitive and use a keyboard and mouse, that 1ms will be cancelled out by using a controller anyway. To benefit from such short refresh rates, you really want a PC with keyboard and mouse. That all being said... I have a 32" 1440p monitor at home, it's a bit of a beast, it's by no stretch of the imagination a high-end monitor but it's still fantastic, @Plumbers Crack games on exactly the same one, maybe he'll pop in and give us his thoughts. In fact, it's this exact model. If you want it, it's yours for the price of postage and a few beer tokens in the FGFGFGFGFGFGFG to help @GazzaGarratt Dad with the site maintenance costs. Let me know. Ran a dungeon last night with Aaron, Marc and a random dude. None of us had ever done the dungeon before and it turned out to be a dlc one. Think it took us close to 90 minutes to finish it and a ton of deaths for all of us. One of the bosses had over 5 million hp and it wasn’t even the last one or the worst one 😂😂😂
