So, in a further effort to embed myself into the forum (or embarrass myself) I thought I would talk about gardening (I have had a nose through and it looks like I am not the only one, was particularly impressed with @Drifter 's garden!). I have no idea what I am doing most of the time but I seem to have a few flowers growing 😄 (I will take some photos as everything comes into bloom over the next month or so). But yeah my garden mostly revolves around Dahlia's / Iris / Roses (they were there when we moved in). Another aspect of my gardening that I began towards the end of the lockdown, I was offered the opportunity to take on an allotment. I did so…

As part of looking for something to entertain whilst stuck in the house this year, i've really started to get into my board games as part of having something different to do whilst stuck in the house. The general feel for these have been to either be single player games or decent group games that aren't too difficult to get to grips with so the kids could join in easily. We've really enjoyed these so far and i thought it'd be good to share the experiences of these games with you all I'll continue to add to the thread as the collection grows as i have no doubt it will! So here goes!!! @GazzaGarratt - Told you i'd make the thread eventually!! 🤣 …

I cycle to work and decided to get a new bike (Dual Sport 2). Wondering if anyone else cycles much and if so if they have any suggestions on additions I could make to the new bike? Decided to go with a gravel bike to help with road and shortcut routes rather than going with one or the other. None the less, look forward to it!

I know I’ve posted some of my photoshop stuff before but I’m currently on a bit of a binge of photoshop and 3D modelling again recently. So with @Impulse posting in his introduction about photoshop too, I thought I’d start this thread up to see who else FG has an artistic touch and somewhere for people to post ip their work too. I can re post some of my stuff but looking forward to seeing other people’s work too 🙂

After finishing up my giant 1/5 scale monster truck build back in the spring I had told myself that was going to be the last project/build for a very very long time. Guess that idea lasted all of maybe 6 months  I really couldn't help it though. I have been wanting a set of Freestyle Rc axles for numerous years now, but they are so popular with guys in the Rc MT scene because they are so durable that there's actually a wait list dozens of people long at almost any given time. So when these popped up on a FB rc group last week I jumped on them. So starting to collect parts for this project now. Just got the axles and also picked up a set of Imex Pullers tires w…

Figured I'd start this thread and just update it with pictures of some of my 3D printed projects as I work on them rather than start a new thread for every thing I print and do. Just started this project a bit over a week ago. I decided I wanted to do a medieval diorama for my theater room since the rest of the room's decor is all medieval themed. So decided to start printing a scene which will be a castle tower sitting on the edge of a rocky shoreline of the ocean with a dragon on top of the tower, then a giant kraken coming out of the water attacking the tower. Took about 130hrs to print just the tower pieces. Then did a lot of paint work and weathering to …

I guess this could be in health and fitness also. I have always wanted to try out martial arts, and I have finally just gone for it, joined the local school and started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Been building my strength back in the gym for the last few months in preparation. Had a few sessions so far and I am enjoying it a lot, its basically fighting chess. The sessions consist of learning various take downs and submissions, with sparring at the end. The sparring is a killer but its fun to test your strength and brains at the same time. Obviously I am not that great yet but hoping to get a notch on the belt before the year is out. I am wondering if anyone else in…

Role-playing is a big part of the games for me and part of that is creating a good character to fit the role of the story. Here are some example of my characters and their strengths and styles. Would love to hear if anyone else plays this way. Christian Hunt Age: Young Adult Nationally: English / Swedish Style: Traditional / Ordinary / Messy Isaac Lacelles Age: Young Adult Nationally: English / Nigerian / French Style: Extravagant / Street / Indie Manuel Knight Age: Mature Adult Nationality: US / Nigerian Style: Professional / Clean / Neat I also plan t…

Something I have been working on for the past few weeks. May very well be the height of my clinical OCD lol. Have been 3D printing and painting everything for a scale garage scene for the Felony. Everything is 3D printed, then painted/detailed. Pictures on the walls are resized pictures I took up on Woodward over the years and trimmed down to scale size. Monster truck pics are an actual Rc truck I built years ago which I reprinted in a smaller size, even got my a poster for my custom fly rod business worked into there Was very time consuming and took a lot of hours but was quite a fun project.

Hi all, With Spacedeck joining and talking about his interest in photography it has spurred me to make this thread as it is also an interest of mine. I'm sure there are others on here too so I thought I'd create this thread to show off you photo's, talk about them or for anyone looking for advice on camera's to composition. So I guess as I started this thread I should go first so I've been into photography for years finally upgrading to a DSLR about 10-12 years ago. A few different ones until getting to the kit I have below. Though I am thinking of making the change to a 7000 series Nikon but that is more of a shiny new toy itch rather than any …

So, it's something I used to do as a child with my mum, never anything big. Only ever them small square kits for kids. Since I got older, I stopped doing these and haven't picked up a needle in many years. So I now have picked this back up and currently loving every moment. Not much to currently display but I'll show what I have. Now this was actually the first one I did since coming back, I sort of liked the look of the design but it was also my Grandma's favourite animal (she liked white ones). So after she passed last year, I sort of did this in memory of her. Now this next one I have literally just finished yesterday…

I've been collecting action figures and geeky stuff for a long time now, so i thought it would be cool to share my collection with you peeps and to see what collections you all have 🙂 I'm a big DC comics fan so the majority of my collection is DC based. I've been collecting figuarts for years and used to have a big collection of them including Dragonball, Star Wars and Marvel, but now focus on the DC releases. I'm also getting the new McFarlane DC line and love what theyve done so far. As well as DC, i'm a massive Supernatural fan and have a shelf dedicated to it, and i've recently started to collect the NFL funko pops and want to get a couple of mini helmets s…

One of my other hobbies are RC monster trucks. Most of the ones I have are 1/10 & 1/8 scale trucks which I built myself by custom fabricating steel tube chassis with a tubing bender and brazing the joints to give it very high strength. About a year ago I decided to just go all out and built the biggest & baddest most scale looking Rc truck I possibly could build. It took me just over 10 months from start to finish, over 400+ hours of work, and honestly I could have bought a decent shape real truck for the amount of money I have invested into this thing, but it really is an absolute blast to drive this thing. It's about 33" long, almost 24" tall and 24"…

Been taking stock of my life recently and to be honest I have just been extremely bored and frustrated without having any kind of challenge in my life at the moment. Whilst I am still being paid for 38 hours work, I currently have hardly anything to do (boohoo i know) but it means I have a lot of spare time. I wanted a new challenge and have decided to begin learning Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, with a view to hopefully start creating some free lance logos / art etc to hopefully eventually start making some money from it, and long term maybe even a career. I would also like to get into Motion Design eventually once comfortable with the software. Sick of…

Anyone happen to know where I can get a PDF of the rule book? Starting up a proper group to play this from 12 July in a Hackney gaming bar... and my old basic D&D doesn't cut the mustard.

I've owned an electric guitar for a couple of years but I just haven't learned to play it. I decided to get it back out and give it another go to see if I can actually stick with it this time. It might be easier this time as my girlfriend is also learning to play, so it's something we're doing together. Along with our daughter who just wants to strum the guitar at every opportunity 😩. We're self teaching, and using a place called JustinGuitar to learn at out own pace. Sadly my tuner seems broken and the light doesn't always light up when tuning, so that will need replacing and I want to buy a capo too. I also have a metronome but the batteries that I left…

I bought my daughter (6 yrs old) a rock tumbler for Christmas. Don't worry, she got many much more exciting toys with immediate gratification. Anyway, even though it's slow going, the results are pretty amazing. Are there any rockhounds or collectors in FG? https://www.amazon.co.uk/National-Geographic-Rock-Tumbler-Starter/dp/B01I56RV0C/

Wife gets all the credit for this. We have these wood pieces that look random in our back garden so Hayley wanted to make a feature. Nothing expensive - A standard garden gate lock and solar lights in the shape of a bulb.

Thought I'd share this in here as some might not see it in my PPR. Dax has had quite a few Nerf guns over the last few years so we needed a space for them rather than chucked in an unorganised bucket. We had a look online and then seen some Pegboards designs. I bought 2 packs of 3 metal pegboards from eBay for £41. Attached them together on the wall and then the wife used her creativity to make the design of how my sons guns and other weapons went on it. Here's the finished product.
