  1. I haven't played destiny since just after vault of glass. I got annoyed at doing the same shit over and over again and saw the money grab incoming from Bungie so I bailed to other games. My son plays destiny at my sister in laws house. Basically just running around shooting monsters and exploring. I don't see that being much of an issue for a 7 year old. So I decided to crank up my 360 again and update Destiny. Then I find out that the game is too fucking big to fit on my system (with everything else deleted). What kind of horse shit is that? I buy the game, and then 1 year later Bungie releases a patch so large that I can't play the game anymore. In one year they made that game obsolete. Their official recommendations are to buy a bigger hard drive or to upgrade to xbox one. Buying the hard drive isn't a big ordeal although it's still bullshit to fork over another $40 just to be able to play a game that I already bought, even though I could care less about the updates. Upgrade to xbox one? How about you go fuck yourself Bungie. I already bought the game. I'm not buying the same damn game twice. /end rant
  2. Entrance to my gaming room
  3. The guy who made this is such a nerd, but damn does he have a good ear for music. Since I found this video I've been searching for all the tracks.
  4. Fucking awesome.
  5. Apparently he IS tall enough to unlatch the bolt. That took all of one day for the little fucker to figure it out. I swear James Bond is our milkman.
  6. Father times 2 going on 3 and my wife is still around. Winning!
  7. All in I spent $150 at Home Depot, but that also included a 2nd smaller gate at the top. The hardware, wood glue, and stain was $50 of that. We put the bolt there for convenience as he's not tall enough to reach it yet. If it becomes a problem we can easily move it to the back side.
  8. Sometime this week I was planning on doing something like that I just didn't know what would be the best solution. I will be getting some of those felt stickers that you put on the bottom of furniture legs and putting them between the gate sides and the main banisters it's tied to to prevent rubbing. Not sure what mole skin is but I'll certainly look into it. I do need something there because those zip ties are tight as hell. They need to be because the gate weighs around 20 lbs and all the weight is on the left banister. We wanted to make it high enough where he couldn't reach over and drop stuff and then get mad because he can't get to it (also why I only left a .25" gap btwn the boards so he couldn't put anything through it). He's nowhere near tall enough to reach the top so he shouldn't be able to grab anything to pull himself up on that bottom board. But of course the kid is a little ninja and has surprised us plenty of times. For now I think he's conceded defeat and doesn't mess with it. So far so good!
  9. We have a 1.5 year old who climbs everything. Literally spends all day trying to climb on stuff. I've had enough, so today I built this. Pretty proud of it considering I'm a novice at this type of stuff. The biggest challenge we had was that there was no real way to gate off the stairs as you can see from the 3rd picture. We had a gate that we slid back and forth between the bannisters, but he figured out how to move it so I had to find a way to block it off for good. I built another gate just like this at the top of the stairs but didn't take any pictures. I tied it down with zip locks (it's actually very sturdy for being so heavy) because I didn't want to put holes in anything and it needed to be easy to remove and put back. We're expecting our 3rd son in a few months, so I figured it was worth it to spend the money to not have to deal with this again. Built, stained, and mounted both gates from scratch in 1 day, not bad eh?
  10. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vp44kXvNr24 Yes it's American idol but not a contestant, just a guest. bring on the hate. This guy is awesome though and his songs all have good messages
  11. Orbital is awesome. This is one of my all time favorite tracks
  12. Would be cool to see a video. I don't know a lot of the terms you're using for shooting drills.
  13. At least you have bike lanes. We don't. We have spandex jockeys that ride along 45mph roads like it's theirs. Most of the time it's just a single guy. Bigger groups are easier to see. The guy that rides by himself is asking for it.
  14. RIP man. STP is my favorite band of all time.
  15. Will somebody who has never seen Kingsmen please watch it, so I can gloat about how I TOLD YOU SO! Seriously, watch the fucking movie people! It's James Bond on steroids with comedy.
  16. Thanksgiving is a multi day event for us. My parents yesterday, lunch and dinner, her parents today, lunch and dinner, and then leftovers until Sunday. Monday will literally be my fattest day ever. Been going that way for a few years lol
  17. Thanksgiving should be a universal holiday.
  18. I really hope that it doesn't take years for the movie to come out. I haven't been to a movie theater in 10+ years but I would actually go to see this on opening night. Lionsgate bought the rights, so hopefully that means we can expect something soon. I was actually referencing a movie about the mistborn trilogy. It's hard to say which series I like more. Mistborn is truly a masterpiece. Read those if you haven't already
  19. The spinning fat chick sending the dude through the WTC tower, that is fucking epic.
  20. There's a jewelry store named Jareds here in the US and their commercials are terrible. The jihad picture is a play on those commercials. I thought it was hilarious
  21. I just finished the first location completely except for that lvl 10 dormer or water guy, whatever they're called. All the side quests have been replenished on that board, should I do those or just move to the next place? Yeah it's 100 question time apparently
