  1. Is it just me or does anyone else think these things should be illegal? The last thing we need is a bunch of people flying these little fuckers all over the place. Did anyone see this? http://gizmodo.com/tgi-fridays-dumb-mistletoe-drone-cut-sombodys-face-open-1668233262 If I was out to eat and one of these fuckers hit me and cut me up like they did that woman, I would go ape shit. Whats even more puzzling is that Friday's is calling this an "isolated" incident. Really? Do they have any lawyers around that corporate office? If anything like this happens again, they're screwed. Any Ken Nugent lawyer type out there could claim negligence and sue the shit out of them. What idiots. This is just one example of how stupid people are. People can't be trusted with flying helicopters, certainly not ones with cameras on them. I've seen videos of these things hundreds of feet in the air above dense neighborhoods and even 14 lane major highways. What the fuck is that? If one of those things came crashing down and hit someone they could cause serious injury. There is no accountability because who the hell knows who is flying them. Not everyone behind the sticks is Maverick from Top Gun. I fucking hate these things. They look like a ton of fun but there is no accountability and no reason to be responsible other than "I don't want to have to buy another one"
  2. whats the clan name? I'll join up for a few runs
  3. Had a chance to shoot a h&k vp9? I'm still waiting for the right time to buy and after all my research it seems this is preferred by most over the m&p9 I thought I was going to buy. Probably going to pick one up for Christmas
  4. Simple question for you. What do you get out of it? The past is the past, fuck her there's a delete button for a reason. I won't pretend to understand her motives, but you're happy so why would you screw that up by reviving a past that wasn't good for you. Nothing good will come of this. Tell her straight up that you have no interest in catching up, then delete her from being able to send you any kind of message. Bury this shit in the past where it belongs
  5. One more thing to mention in the spirit of honest debate, is that there are plenty of fingers we can point at illegals for the rise in our healthcare costs. What's happened to our healthcare costs here is mind boggling. Every year it gets worse, and illegals are a primary reason for this. That means everyone who pays, gets screwed more and more each time uncle Julio and family jump the fence. Most families today pay near as much in healthcare as they do in taxes each month. That's why so many chose to go without, few can afford it. So it amplifies the problem because all of these people don't pay, and the cycle goes on and on. My wife is a NICU nurse. Illegals come here, have babies so they can avoid deportation, and the first question they ask is where they can get social security. Yeah, free money from my pocket to theirs. They know how to game the system. She sees it every single day, it's a fucking joke between the whole nursing staff. They make bets on how long it will take before the question gets asked where they can sign up. Illegals don't pay shit because they don't have anything, they know nobody will do anything about it, and our hospitals are not allowed to refuse service. You have any idea what a NICU bill looks like? Lol. So me and everyone else ends up paying for it. So it's not just about jobs, it's about the effect they have on the system that screws everyone over. And they aren't allowed to be here in the first place, legally Just something else to think about. Sorry Dave. That being said, brands come and go. Ford and General Motors are core American brands and their cars are shit on wheels. Never shot a Colt, but I doubt anyone will miss them.
  6. call it Harry Potter for grown ups. I was recommended these books by someone in my clash clan, and holy fucking shit best books I've read in ages. Possibly the best ever. 2 books are out and the third is coming sometime late 2015. Supposed to be a trilogy but once this spreads there will be more. The story is too good . The writing is unlike anything I've read. Won't say any more, just get the first book titled The Name of the Wind. Outside of LOTR and the Hobbit these are the only fantasy novels I've read. Now that I'm finished I need to find another series worth investment. If anyone has a recommendation let me know. The longer the series the better
  7. PC WoW. I've never played it because I knew it would take over my life. As I'm on a fucking island, sounds like a good way to spend my time. Whiskey Philly Cheesesteaks for life
  8. Anyone following this? If not I'll summarize. Black thug gets shot by a white cop. Black people demonstrate their frustrations with being singled out and unfairly treated by the 5-0 by looting, pillaging, and destroying their own community to the point where the national guard needs to get called in and a state of emergency is declared by the governor. Oh the irony, lol. Al Sharpton and company are on the scene, doing what they always do. Lining their pockets by blaming everything on the white man instead of telling his people to calm the fuck down and stop destroying their own city. One less thug though, so at least something positive has come out of this
  9. Hey Doc. Finally getting around to picking up my first gun. Went to the range today and shot a few hundred rounds with different 9mms. Glock 17, HK P30, Beretta PX4, and M&P 9. They each have their advantages, it's not easy to make a choice. I like the simplicity of the glock, ease of use, reliability etc but I can't shoot that thing well at all. I pull left bigtime and the sights are bad. The HK fit my hand like a glove and felt fantastic but the double action or whatever they call it just seems like added time/risk. The Beretta was easily the most accurate but weighed a lot and was double action as well. From 10 yards out I had a spread of around 3 inches with 10 shots with that guy dead center of the target. Even the range guy was impressed. Sort of funny as I didn't pretend to be some gun guru when I went in there. I told him I was testing them out to buy my first, and asked him to walk me through all the guns before I started shooting as I've never shot anything besides glocks and rifles before. I drew the target back and the guy walked up and said, damn you killed the shit out of that guy lol. Decided the M&P is the way to go. A lot like the glock but a much better ergonomics. Felt fantastic and I was much more accurate with it. They didn't have a sig or ruger so didn't get to try them out. Anyhow that's my little story. Would you recommend buying one online or at the local shop? I live in Georgia and there are stores everywhere, but as usual I imagine these things are cheaper online. Any recommendations for cheap upgrades or add-ons?
  10. I've been to Barcelona. It was the most incredible trip I've ever been on. The city is very safe, we were up till 5am every night walking around the city. It was our presidents club trip for work and they put us up in the Hotel Arts (Ritz Carlton) right on the beach. The beach is fantastic with plenty of bars and restaurants right on it. If you go there, you absolutely have to rent a moped. Me and 4 other guys rented mopeds and spent an entire day driving around the city exploring. It's super easy to drive there. No crazy drivers....it's basically the same as driving around here and it's the same side of the road. And it's impossible to get lost because there are only a handful of buildings over 5 stories so you can always see where you are. Beach on one side ignore city, mountains on the other. You just hop on, and take turns leading the drive. Go wherever the hell you want and see everything The food is fantastic, the wine is fantastic, and the people there don't hate Americans. We're planning on going back in the next year or so.

  12. Whats up Steve, long time no talk hope things are going your way Something I've found to be very therapeutic is to focus on flexibility. I work from home, and my office is essentially my basement where I always end up sitting on the floor with my laptop in front of the tv. About 2 months ago I started stretching my legs and now I'm at the point where I can stand up and almost put my palms on the floor with my legs straight. I used to barely be able to sit indian style comfortably because it hurt my joints. Now I sit that way pretty much every day. Sounds random but spending 20 minutes a day just stretching your muscles is a really awesome feeling. It is very noticeable with everyday activities, like climbing stairs, getting out of the car, getting into bed, etc. I would highly recommend spending time focusing on stretching.your muscles.
  13. It's also interesting to know that the specific type of ammo actually makes a difference. I figured it was all gun.... So +P and hollow point is considered a must yeah? I need to read up on reloading - seems thats what all the gun guys do but I don't know anything about it.... To the interwebz....
  14. Just read that entire guns thread.....and that's excactly what I was looking for Doc. Good man Next step seems to be that I need to hit the range and see what gun feels the best for me, and then make slight modifications as needed later. I was originally thinking of buying 2 different guns because it seems like it's going to take a long time to figure out what I really like. Sort of like golf clubs. I can hit the range and do well with a certain set of clubs, but you can never know unless you use them a LOT. One day I hit straight as an arrow, the next day I suck. Figured it's probably pretty similar with guns until you get to know what works for you. If I just buy one kind now, I doubt I'll ever get around to trying out other guns. And I'd buy different manufacturers but same caliber. I totally agree with what you're saying about getting to know one particular gun in and out, and interchangeability of parts if needed....that makes sense.
  15. What is it about glocks that you don't like? What guns would be easiest to keep clean? I looked at those 2 and the XD looks really small. Seems with such a short barrel that it would be hard to shoot well. Are handguns mostly about preference and look.....as in functionally they all don't have much of a difference between them?
  16. Hey look, McNasty started a thread! Fuck you. Anyway....I have finally convinced my wife that I need to buy some guns and other assorted SHTF type stuff. I've wanted these things for a very long time, but was something I've had to slowly sell my wife on as weapons have always been scary for her. I got her to watch about 20 minutes of this History Channel show where they followed the life of a family after a disease outbreak. It showed how quickly the world got fucked up and what life would be like day 1,5,10,30,60, 1 yr, 2 yr, etc after the outbreak. - so I looked at her and said - this is why we need to buy some damn guns because if we don't have any weapons we'd be nothing but cattle. She actually agreed! Sweet.....now I get to buy guns. Before we get to far into this, I want to say up front that I am still not on the same page as others around here in that we're facing some sort of imminent destruction. That being said, I think it's awesome to spend the money on cool shit that would be very helpful if that ever came true. A rapidly spreading disease, solar flares, earthquakes, etc ...... I think nature is going to fuck us up before we get the chance to do it to ourselves. Anywho.......I need some help. I've been spending a lot of money on stupid shit this past year, and now I want to spend it on cool shit instead! Spectre you posted an awesome list of the stuff you have in your bug-out bags on the old forum - do you still have that list? Now I'm not planning on going on a spending spree and buying all this shit at once. I'd just like to get an idea of what are the most important things I could buy now, and how I should build this stuff out over time. Definitely first is getting some guns. I've been to shooting ranges probably 30 times or so. I'm very comfortable handling a gun. I, however, do not know very much about guns. I want to get probably 3 handguns and a rifle. For the handguns I'm thinking 9mm, probably a sig and 2 glocks. Why 3? Well 1 for my wife and 2 for me so I can dual wield and go bat shit crazy on mofos when they jump me. Ok kidding, the 3rd in case something happens with 1 of the other guns. I was thinking 9mm because it seems to be the most common and finding ammo would be easier. All the stuff I've read on 9mm vs .40 vs .45 all seems trivial. It's not like I'm Jack Bauer or anything. Does this seem to be the way to go? Where should I buy it? There are plenty of gun stores here but I have no idea what a good price is. Can you still buy extended mags? How do I figure out what modifications would make sense for the gun? Where do you guys learn all this stuff? For the rifle I'm thinking an AR-15 but for now, let's just start this conversation with the handguns and we'll get to other stuff later. Help McNasty get armed up. I am a normal person.

  18. I waited tables for 5 years through high school and college. that was a little over 10 years ago, and at the time servers in the US got paid $2.15/hr. So yeah, tips paid the bills. If I have terrible service, I give 5-10%. If I have great service I tip 30% or more Normal service, I pay at least 25%. That's just me. Most of the restaurants I go to the staff know me because we eat out all the time. When you tip well, people take care of you. At the mexican restaurant we go to, they gave me a VIP card for 10% off my bill for life. Yeah, they don't just hand them out. That being said, people who don't tip can go to hell IMO. It's expected in the US. Unless your service is terrible, put 15 percent down and stop being a cheap bastard. Places like fast food, and Moes/Chipotle/sandwich shops - DONT TIP THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE NOT WAITERS. And if you wonder why there is racism in America - go work as a waiter in a restaurant.
  19. Barcelona is the only EU city I've been to, so can't compare against anything else. The place is incredible though. Can't wait to go back. I went there on a company trip that I won, and we stayed at the Hotel Arts right on the beach. Me and 4 other guys rented mopeds and spent an entire day cruising the city. Drove out into the mountains too and ate lunch at this random restaurant off the side of the road. We were the only people there and the owner fed us like royalty. After we paid the bill he came back to the table with 3 of the workers and we all did a shot after he gave a nice toast. It was really cool
  20. Seems almost every family is going to have one bad egg. Does your sister have any kids? That makes the situation much worse. I have a crazy aunt who raised my cousin to be quite the family stand-out. She got pregnant at 16, and has 3 kids now between 2 dads. No job, all welfare, total shit lives. Takes money from my grandma (who has no money) and uses it for bullshit. Typical stuff I guess But my cousins 3 kids? They don't stand a chance and thats what really sucks. Their mom is a trainwreck, and their grandma (my aunt) is too. So when they come asking for money, the family feels like they're letting down the 3 kids the most because they already get the short end of the stick. Nothing we can do for them. They're young (oldest is like 9 now) and we've been seeing the effects of horrible parenting for years. Its really sad because the kids had no say in it. They don't get a choice. They didn't ask to get raised by bad parents. Women should be implanted with some sort of computer chip that blocks them from getting pregnant until they are at a certain age and have passed written tests and interviews to prove they are worthy of children. The world is already way overpopulated......we need to legislate some darwinism here.
  21. I would say GTFO of California. You know how much it costs for a 3 bedroom apartment in the suburbs of Atlanta? You can get into a middle of the road 3 bedroom apartment for less than $800 in a normal suburban neighborhood (not the ghetto). 1 bedroom around $400. Oh, and there are plenty of hourly jobs available. They're literally everywhere. Seriously Datte. I like you man. I think your selling yourself short especially if you have a 3.5. Tommy is right. You'll never be in a good position to really take care of others if you keep doing what you're doing and working at wal-mart. You'll never save shit, you'll live paycheck to paycheck, and you'll just fumble through life with your head barely above water. Go to college, get a real degree (NOT ART), buy a house, and move your family in if you want to. Your mom wouldn't have to work. You could probably go to college for next to nothing considering your economic situation. Looked at Pell grants? There are tons of options, but yeah......its up to you. If you don't have the drive, this is all meaningless advice.
  22. Seems like no matter what you do, everyone else around you is going to take your money and you'll never be free. If you're cool with that, then by all means its your decision. At your age it is not your responsibility to take care of people who dont want to take care of themselves, and will never change. If you want a better life, you need to move out and move on. There are plenty of jobs that you could find that pay enough for you to take care of yourself in your own apartment. Maybe you need to move far away and make a life for yourself. It is YOUR life, after all.
  23. I thought you got a job and moved out? Why put up with your crazy sister?
  24. Traverse City Michigan. Just got back from a 5 day golf trip there. What a beautiful place
