Seeing the Swamp and @tronic44's Tombstones.... 😄

Not sure whether to be impressed or scared how real it looks! I'm mainly an objective based person though so I ain't really sure what i'd do with it Cal! @TheMuggySpud

Sounds like a great idea and a super idea to ask everyone before we look into what to do next. I think as more and more of us are getting on, I really want to make sure they can feel like they can contribute and create stuff themselves, all for the community cause. I think this is a SUPER idea and we should get it up as an event! The game isn't going anywhere so we shouldn't be in any rush to do stuff. This is why I'm comfortable just creating more places, reinforcing more current builds because it adds to the fun of it all. I'd rather create something near the swamp to smelt the Iron to make stuff than hop via my own personal world to speed stuff up. Sometimes it makes sense but I enjoy the idea of even saying to each other 'how should we do this?'....and now we can build LONGBOATS...I think we should explore the seas over the coming weeks and watch us get obliterated together by some sea serpent. Sounds deligtful and hilarious even when I type it! 😄🤣

Yeah, about that....its incredibly insane!! I was determined on my day off to go and have some exploring time as I wanted to feel like I was able to attempt something that was challenging. This was to go to the swamp and survive enough to bring back some loot to create better things to then go back and get the prestigious Iron we needed for next steps. @tronic44, Pablo (rich's friend) and me went to the swamp after i pushed so far and got loads of items but ran out of luck. We attempted time after time to get our stuff back, and continually died getting caught out by leeches in the water. About 5 boats later, we eventually got our stuff and went in a little deeper. I must say the jump after the second boss to the third is quite substantial. The subconscious way through someone thought about this change in the game and allows you to subtlety change and adapt to potions whilst using the latest things you could make, like the tankard are very satisying. After a few runs to a few crypts in between breaks, @tronic44 beat an extended pathway to the swamps whilst Ihad a brief look at the Mountains on our spawn island, as we can now make Frost resistant potions. Be well aware, Wolves HURT ALOT. I died many times killing a few but going back to see what was in there. At night something amazing is in there called a Fenring. Apparently only appears at night and howls to call other wolves to come close when you take it on. Lots of health, i got within 5% of killing it to then die and wasn't able to get back in time before sunrise. Apparently some pretty Wolf leg armour can be made with the stuff he drops, alongside some rare drops Wolves give you (Fangs, Pelts, etc). Anyway, before I got off for FIFA Monday Night Football, I added a few bits which I believe Carl completed later on to our Forge, thanks buddy. You'll now find the dining/storage hall at the Vault to be a cool place to hang out with the Comfort level now at 12. Here's a view from either side. Go and sit in the Raven Throne when you get chance 😄

And on balance (which is effing weird cos i'm saying this in a thread I have little love for EA 😄 )but you would say that the fun has happened because sometimes game development IS good? I don't like watching the news because its far more bias to negative news because it generates more interest. I'd love to see what makes us tick in a positive sense. Not many people decide to pick up on the positive parts of really anything created these days but I'm just trying to step back a little and see if there is any positive stuff in this? Maybe just admitting the fact they were wrong to dictate so much to game developers and the next few games they'll be trying to allow them some freedom....IS a good thing? Albeit very minor because we have little faith that they'll truly follow their own words? 😄 Just a random 2p that popped in my mind.

To be clear before I get into it, this isn't a dig or directed at anyone specifically at all. From since the beginning of time, which is basically FG's existence obviously, we see so many people - so many of us - disgruntled, annoyed, pissed off, etc, about the state of Call of Duty franchise and hammering the next game that is out without really seeing what people really DO want. So here it is - what Call of Duty characteristics do you want them to create? Think of setting, time, perks, guns, gameplay dynamics, ultimates/supers (or not). I'm trying to see if there really is something that would get your spices flowing. And don't cop out with 'just make MW2 remastered' because that shit has been done before and did well in that era. You've seen how remastered goes. A little nostalgia and the positive comments soon turn into utter negative crap which after a while you just don't wanna read cos it depresses you. I'm really interested to know what you guys want and how they could concoct a near perfect Call of Duty. And don't get hung up on the name, some people will hate CoD if it just says 'CoD' in it. Rather than dwell on that, focus on what could be GOOD to see. Maybe we could see some in the next game, or the ones already out today.

That's what it felt like to me. I'm a firm believer in always reading things and seeing what happens too, because, whilst it was a good analogy, I wouldn't rate this on the same level to partner abuse 😄. I bought Anthem for a fiver one past Christmas because it felt like it was worth that gamble to see what they'd do - and so I didn't lose too much after the many worries that came out before and just after the launch. Funnily enough, I agree with you in most parts of Destiny too as many developers can get super lazy in these times but theres enough in that game to be able to enjoy yourself with just the basic core gameplay loop. That is something that many games don't seem to be able to master in the times of 'Give me everything NOW and ALL OF IT so I can gorge it and forget about how good/bad it tasted'. I think you're bang on the money. The amount of games we all at FG play with each other are either games that have been out for many years and well established, or they are new games that are based on their predecessors. I can't see when the next stand-out game will be out there for our one community to rally behind. CoD and Destiny were the ones and ironically still are to some degree - but that isn't a bad thing either. We're all very quick to jump on the bandwagon and give games shit whereas, if we stopped for one second and played some games with everyone, you'd find it we'd be talking more about our hilarious memories we've made than how shit the games are. From a keyboard. Without the games switched on.

Do you think though that's because you need the whole open world to go and source yourself a chocobo yourself? Have the fun was finding the right type of chocobo in the wild and then bringing it to the races. Surely they need more installments of the game to come out?

You're not missing much on next gen mate, thats for sure. Especially with this game still the winner of the CoD that is keeping most players on it, and clearly available for PS4. Separate problem I think that will hurt their income over time will be the size of their games. They've got to do something about it as it isn't just Sony to deal with it and give us bigger hard drives (although i'll take that purely from a different POV). Now they've figured out the F2P market with Warzone somewhat, I actually think this will do the franchise a favour and maybe they'll go away from their ritual stuff that nearly everyone here and elsewhere hates.

I see in a separate thread we get a free PS5 upgrade for the game which is ace to see. Do you think they've released this as they had Yuffie ready to go but the next installment is going to be delayed? Oh, and @Middle Class Caveman you seen this yet?? 😎

Good to hear stability is coming to the game now. I'm still watching from afar and when time allows outside the fun of so many other games we're all playing i'll try and update it and take the ship for a spin. I wasn't close to the game so taking a large planet out of the game doesn't bother me as much because the game space felt huge already. I just want to see more variety stuck into it over time.

This is so where I get stuck in. My wife thinks I do not need to lose weight at all in anyway as its more about if I feel I want to feel better in my body its about toning, rather than losing weight although I feel the difference. Difficulty alongside fitness is how to change your food without losing the fun bits in life such as having a nice takeaway family meal together. I don't want those things to stop so it makes you feel like the easiset way around that is to just not eat as much in the week. However, I get so exhausted - do you try the same? Want it now is absoultely bang on the money for EVERYTHING in the world right now. It tires me out seeing people tired and impatient for things. I get it, Covid exacerbates the issue as we don't want to feel like we're wasting our lives away but above all you can still be a realist through the can do positive attitudes to get up and get shit done. Right now, i'd like more time in life to enjoy all these fun things we do at a slower pace. Enjoy every moment kind of thing.

I genuinely can't see the difference. I've not heard what they are gonna do differently either. I could imagine based on teh shooting how an element of DayZ survival would work in this game...but where is the detail!! Unless this game was made to create more hype back around Division 2. I see so many games that are doing this and making more well established games shine even more because of half-assed versions coming out from nowhere.

One day I will make one like this, but CAM is the most favoured position out of everyone I know so doubt I'll get chance to use it! @jordie1892 , could you use this to work as part of a top 3 which may mean you have a slightly wider role?

I didn't see this. I already have it so might be worth the transfer to SSD rather than external Hard Drive....although I have no space on the SSD already 🤣

An option would be great. I mean, you can already zoom in and out very quickly using the mouse wheel and it goes into first person when you put yourself in a tight spot. On the main though with survival games, it works really well in 3rd person. First Person is for more intense games imo, and why I enjoy Destiny far more than the Division, which is probably still the best 3rd person game i've played.

A bit late to the party but thats awesome news George @G_dub52 ! I think some people always feel hesiatnt on gaming laptops but I think they can definitely suit people's needs and a great starter for getting into PC gaming with all of us too. Valheim I can see you've already had the taste of it, and you'll find my choices are all around survival, less twitch FPS games. Valheim, 7 Days, Green Hell, even Minecraft to an extent because these give you chances to dip in and play with others on your PC and also be chilled enough to pop back and forth on it due to the servers we have running right now. Hopefully you can see how a PC can work alongside the console games because they won't ever go away with the large majority of us finding very good party games to come back to on there.

Devastated but understandable. There will be a tipping point as to when we can expect games to meet their original aspirational dates but we're not there yet so whilst its annoying we have yet another PS5 game not out anywhere near its launch date, it'll hopefully be worth the wait. If anyone is ever interested in Gran Turismo 7, this is the time to now grab GT Sport for literally peanuts as I can see that game being played with FGers all year round personally.

What's the series like Chad? Is it like anything else that you've ever played? I say this cos i've never tried a DMC game. Always loved the style of the the graphics, but not really a hack n' slash type of person cos I don't quite get a hang of the controls but unsure if it is exactly like that.

Superb write up Tom @LordBaguette . It was the best episode by far. Shame we only have one episode left though to expand on what we found out in the last one. Couple of thoughts. Weirdly, I missed this reference so any non-Marvel experienced reader is going to miss this for what it is. I love the episode more now that you told me this which makes me feel they could've had a 30 second clip to show what Chaos Magic truly is. Thats really disappointing to hear if true. What happened with Thor 3 then when they shown a demonic god in that? I didn't realise how much Ultron is so prominent in the comics. At the end of Age of Ultron I feel that went so far as to close his chapter within one film. I feel like if he is to be reincarnated then an evil film seeing him succeed would only bring him to the front more - although i'm a sucker for orginal, happy endings so it would be hard for me watch! I would absoleutely expect in the end credits to see something connected to the next Marvel series that is set to release. Its what they do. What is supposed to be next? Maybe we get 2 post credit endings - one for Wanda and their plotlines, one for the next upcoming series.

This is on point. An immediate reaction when driving in the moment is to remind people its okay and 'don't worry about it, its all for fun' but agree this game will always bring nerves out because we all don't want to spoil a race for anyone else. But as you say earlier. Its racing and what makes it interesting and fun for us all so far is the unpredictability of what goes on. I make a mistake one week, i don't the next, but someone else will. What I would hope to say to anyone that comes to FG is that when we do these types of things they are always to be set out as a fun event to do, something that will give us some memories. If we ever went into the ultra competitive zone I think it would be extremely clear from the outset and pretty much nearly all FGers would likely not enter. Thats what makes us unique - being able to stressful, laugh a minute, championships and also being able to still be friends (that we can then rib each other for years to come about the takeout on turn 5 😄).
