Finally some decent updates to the PS5, although they don't go too far just yet reading into it. I think the PS5 downloadable games on external hard drive is only a good idea if its extremely quick to copy it back on to the internal one....otherwise you might aswell re-download it anyway! The party is update is better, however it won't remove these new groups...although we've got used to it. On that note though I do hope people have gotten over the notifications element to it because we get hundreds of notifications of all things on our phones, its not the worst thing i've seen now.

You have to ignore the title - it was a joke by Didds to get people to actually get people looking at the situation of the fact we completely rely on our own money and fantastic donations from FGers to keep FG going - especially the maintenance of the website and its supporting services, the FG Feel Good Fund (FGFGF) and additional things such as creating private FG servers for all of us to play on together. I'm always very VERY conscious on how much we ask and remind people of donations. I didn't remind people much at all over the last year (until recently lower down on an FGFGF post) on how important this is as to what stuff happens here, but clearly that was for good reason whilst we've all been likely to have been hit in lots of different ways due to this Global Pandemic no one could've ever predicted. Always open to people seeing this more and different ways to keep it in the back of people's minds - i have been seeing if there are ways of making options open on FG somewhere to just help collect regular donations for people that have offered to donate regularly but want something just to auto do it for themselves. I think i can do that if some want it still. The only other option that i've had on the backburner is some form of reward scheme linked to donations but its very difficult with a place like ours. People should feel like they want to donate to a family rather than 'Become a fully fledged Member only by donating'. If we keep getting donations regularly then we may never have to think of this - if not, then you could argue it has to be available in some way to keep our fun going. It can be one where some care, others don't kind of thing. My ears are always open to you lot on your views 🤗👍

So i'm seeing really mixed reviews and this is no way near as bad as Anthem's launch whilst still having some key core issues it seems. It actually seems to have a great feel to the game and the unknown right now is whether or not it has that endgame longevity to it. The first big patch also came with some huge nerfs which upset a lot of people - although, for me, buffs and nerfs are just a part of the course for RPG looter shooters now. I can't bring myself to buy it still although it totally feels like theres quite a large timesink that is definitely there - and maybe thats the catch for me as I don't want a heavy grinding game at the moment. Its nice that it actually has been commended though in many places so far.

Although there's been a backlash at Sony (not PlayStation as they have different management within), I kind of read it as its a bummer but as their record of exclusive games have been pretty much gold tier standard for multiple years now, they can't really screw up at all - so a few games not quite making the grade for them get put on ice or cancelled. Business wise, if it was down to that i can understand why but sure would be disappointing if I was a fan of Days Gone and/or Uncharted.

Re-watched The Quick and the Dead on Netflix was trying to fall asleep. For a 1995 film it ain't all that bad as its been some years since I wtached it previously. It borderlines on being slightly wacky at times because of the stories and how some bullets go through who gets shot but a decent watch with a very young Leonardo Di Caprio. Sharon Stone as the main lead alongside a different role for Russell Crowe probably makes it more interesting now than it did back in the day.

Has this got anything to do with that Jason Schrieber article at all @J4MES OX4D ? I'm not really understanding what has actually happened, other than Sony have decided for business reasons, remaking TLOU is better than a new Days Gone and Uncharted game?

Whilst its sounding super hard and something I wouldn't normally do, i'm really backing you all the way...it sounds like you're being trained into a real life Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat king by understanding how to link combos together! I always think if you can take some before and after videos (just for yourself btw) to remind you how far you've come from when you do one punch/kick, to eventually a combo of actions. Good for the soul 🤗

I love that you are doing this. I never have much time over the past year to go over old threads...although thats probably a good thing with so much new stuff to sort and get involved in here! Oh yes, its on the cards and a few people helping to take a look. The real difficulty is just holding on a little longer - I'd hate to be the person that invests a shit ton of effort to find the right place, destination, and budget, only for us to find out in a few months that they then don't want 50 reprobates sleeping in the same place and we all lose some form of deposit. I'm also starting to look into one off activities we could do where we could just find a hotel rooms (when we're allowed to book them) for a night after doing whatever we do in the day. It doesn't just have to be a long weekend, although that is the best FG thing to do if we can do it!

I'm trying not to think about it as slowly we're getting to see some people outside and in the back garden and my daughter could start playing football again at the weekend (alongside her 9th birthday outside in the snow/hail for a moment!). The way that life has flown by this past year in a weird surreal way makes me think 10 weeks won't be long at all....and you've reminded me I've got to think about my wife's birthday now! Dammit! 🤣

Oh man, this game 🙈🤣 More games played last night which was great to see! Especially because some people played their first few games too. Man, I'm so shite at this game. It really isn't the FIFA of old and no matter how hard I try or use excuses on how shite Spain and Thiago is it can't wash after tonight. Got thoroughly spanked through the night even after thinking I had a good set up in the team. Its hotting up at the top though, with over a third of the games played so far! James @Lurch still has a 100% record...I think we all know now not to give him ANY corners 🤣 Although I'm doing really badly, I'm really enjoying seeing how the league changes but also how people are becoming better and better imo. @Stretch616 was super close to take points off and really should have!! I might put up a little knockout thing alongside btw...it'll add a different dynamic alongside whats going on in the league and also test the knockout system on FG works all okay! And @G_dub52 , I hope you recorded that overhead kick you scored against me! An absolute stunner of a goal!! 🔥

I'm intrigued by it for sure but how does the objectives work? Go do missions and then upgrade your ship? Do you have a home at all?

We need to get a general thread so we can all share our builds and fancy things we've made me thinks. I'm really happy with how my abstract home is coming along.

If they can put in the 2 maps into rotation that would be ideal. Adds to the surprise factor of which map you'll be flying into.

They mentioned on a previous TWAB that Team Dino won! But hopefully they said they'll use the Monster armour in a future release. They were always looking to do that imo!

I think they both look cool tbh and don't go too far in terms of changing Destiny into really silly cosmetic bollocks like what happens to CoD and Rainbow 6 in a way.

This is so cool that its in the game!! Well done for finding it mate! We'll have to take a trip to see it as it would be awesome to have some fires in the middle of it. Do you now use just obsidian arrows for the Fulings? They are a bloody nightmare when they hit you. Harder than I realised! Yeah, i'm not too bothered about tons of Wolves going. Its more about the frames they were impacting in that area. It was insane how many Wolves we had. They'll still keep breeding so every so often people should just take some on an exploration trip. Great back up for Fulings btw, not for Lox though 😄 Awesome to see someone has worked it out but I wouldn't play this in VR. Its beautiful in the way it is and I'd rather see extra tools, upgrades and things to create in the game than these modes.

It is, like Phil says. However, its got really good building mechanics and looks more realistic...unfortunately that means staying alive is a little tough - however not as tough as something like DayZ imo. If it could bring a Valheim theme with a story and lots of quests and objectives thats the key. Thanks for the heads up on the creator though. Shame.

Absolutely gutted my kids decided to make the wife go on a WW3 campaign last night 2 laps in to the first race. Looked forward to this racing all week too as we'd rallied the troops and had 9 on the grid whilst I felt reasonably quick enough too - and even started the first race well to be second initially, albeit before I got slammed into a barrier, brought to a full stop, and given a penalty for a barrier collision. This game is hilarious. Still, I was trying to carry on and pick up the pieces and made it back to around 6th quickly before carnage ended proceedings. Sorry for missing out but I hope the races were just as fun as usual. Shame about James @Lurch pressing exit on the race just before it started by accident and @Macca89 believing Kiwi's joke about putting on Intermediate tyres in the sunshine ffs 🤦‍♂️ I'm thinking for next week we double check everyone is good and ready and for the less experienced, double check nice and early they know how to change tyres and know where the pits are 👍 I want to make sure everyone has as much as they can out of these nights and easy simple mistakes outside of the racing can impact that ❤️
