  1. Oh dear, another one bites the dust Knights of the Old Republic remake is 'delayed indefinitely,' according to report | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM It sounds like there's trouble at developer Aspyr Media. Just had to double check it wasn't a Ubisoft game for a second😂
  2. Assassin's Creed Unity (2014)
  3. Maybe if they stopped making games people didn't want then they wouldn't have to cancel them🤣 It just defies belief how many bad decisions they've made and this is a company that has several development houses scattered all over the globe and a huge budget so they don't really need to cut costs - just make some decent original and appealing games without having to chase trends, nickel and dime consumers further or copy and paste stuff you've been making for years. I don't think I can tolerate another Far Cry or Assassin's Creed title. 10 years ago Ubisoft looked to be dominating the PS4/XB1 gen with some hugely original titles like The Division, The Crew and Watch Dogs which were all commercial successes and went on to have sequels. A decade later and they are cancelling shitty outdated concepts and pinning their hopes on dominating the FPS genre with XDefiant. Skull and Bones looks like it'll be a threadbare disaster and for some reason they have been immune to making a new Splinter Cell or proper Ghost Recon game from the ground up, probably because they can't find a way to monetise it adequately. They've been very fortunate with the success and wide appeal of Seige and that's about it. The company is fucked and it serves them right because years ago they stuck their middle finger up to single player games and championed live services. Now they are getting it right up the bumhole.
  4. ‘Rebuilt from the ground up’ - what a load of bollocks Even the most die-hard TLOU/Naughty Dog are pissed at this looking at some of the reactions. Aside from the slight texture rework, it’s the same game from nearly a decade ago. Same dated mechanics and animations and even the redone textures look low quality in places compared to TLOU2. Complete and utter cash grab at £60/$70. Most needless release imaginable.
  5. Already got a Heavy Rain Jason mod😂
  6. That's something that's putting me off a bit but I may just have to treat it as a walking simulator as opposed to Uncharted with a cat😂 It's actually a bit of a shame because some of the environments look really amazing to traverse manually and it would've been nice to have an element of risk to go with the movement flexibility of a cat.
  7. Game has been cancelled😂 Ubisoft Has Officially Stopped Development on Ghost Recon Frontline - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Not only is Ubisoft delaying Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and another unannounced game, but it's also... They may as well cancel XDefiant and The Division Heartlands as those are destined to be commercial failures. Another monumental embarrassment for Ubisoft.

    FIFA 23

EA go out with a bang by releasing the same game once again £70 as well!
  9. This came out the other day and looks pretty decent. Getting some half decent reviews too
  10. Looks a promising medieval city builder/colony-type game. Out next month in early access I think
  11. Imagine spending £75,000-£125,000 for a new car and then having to buy extra features as microtransactions These are monthly prices too so if you wanted heated seats for a year, it'll cost you over £200 extra! Welcome to the fucking future.
  12. I still can't work out why they sell boosters in each of their in-game stores - would make more sense if they allowed the player to choose the XP scaling for the experience they want and then maybe people would be more inclined to buy the DLC and future games. For the sake of making £10 here and there out of people paying not to play the game because the story is basically paywalled, they'd be much better off in all fronts if they didn't try and hold people to ransom further that bought their games.
  13. It’s pretty minimalistic but quite intriguing. You always have a handful of quests to work through and everything seems to flow nicely. You arrive at a mysterious island so you’re as much in the dark as your character but it’s great to see things unfold without it being too plot or quest heavy. I’m 12 hours in and it’s about a 13-15 hour experience which is just about right especially if people are burnt out with open world games of late.
  14. Been playing this last few days and it's a great game! A light RPG adventure game set in Norway with all the busywork cut out. It's basically a watered down Skyrim with hints of Hertic and made by just one person. Combat is a bit janky but great fun and there are some really good enemies done well like spiders. Kinda feels like an linear open world game with a classic 90's feel. Great soundtrack and only a tenner too!
  15. I saw bits of the 'gameplay' (lol) event and the game looks even less ambitious than the already generic as fuck Assassin Creed games. There's no fighting during boarding which defies conceptual belief! They've basically taken Black Flag and stripped 90% of the game. Sea of Thieves had many issues at launch but even that had basic features you'd expect and eventually flourished into a pretty well-rounded experience. This is barebones by even Ubisoft's already shitty standards. Complete waste of time and another pile of shit incoming from the company that is making XDefiant, Ghost Recon BR and The Division Heartlands. Even a decade ago, Ubisoft showed way more originality and ambition with their games. This is another dreadful showing.
  16. The new GTA is supposedly set in Florida and I have to give it Rockstar, they always seem to deliver games that are way ahead in the generation and timeless. The one trick they missed with GTA V however was failing to build upon the world they created by expanding the map and giving up a new campaign - they put every ounce of resources into multiplayer and ignored people that just wanted something for the single player aspect. An awful wasted opportunity really. I hope it doesn't resemble a live service in any way though - GTA has to be a single player title with an MP tacked on. Any hint of going down the live service/MP focused route and that could be very negative for the brand. Too bad they've been DMCA'ing the shit out of all community content. This week alone Take Two have nuked all VR material and this was off the back of multiple takedowns already this year. This mods are turning into YouTube video fodder sadly.
  17. PS2 was another close contender for me by virtue of the amount of time I spent on it but my top games list somewhat lacks variety....🤣 1. Metal Gear Solid 2 2. Grand Theft Auto Vice City 3. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas 4. Grand Theft Auto III 5. Metal Gear Solid 3 6. Pro Evo Soccer 4 7. Pro Evo Soccer 3 8. Pro Evo Soccer 9. Tony Haws Pro Skater 3 I don't even think I can name a tenth although I did have a few other titles. I played the absolute shit out of the ones I did get and Pro Evo 5 and 6 would've been on there had I not grabbed them on PC instead.
  18. N64 I'd say because it had some games that were really ahead of their time back then - Mario 64 for one back in 96 which was a huge leap and then there was GoldenEye, Ocarina of Time and Perfect Dark. Games weren't cheap though at mostly £50-65 but you really got your money's worth out of each one. Biggest disappointment was the lack of a decent realistic racing game especially with the PS1 having Gran Turismo plus that console had an extensive library and cheaper games. I probably got about 75 on there in total and a massive variety of titles. I still think the PS1 offered much more but the 64 just had that additional top tier quality on some (not all) games.
  19. It's kinda clear that they were going to offload these major remaster projects to probably the same shitty mobile developer that made the GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy. Neither game really needs a remaster - just another shameful cash-grab and if they were to go down this route then it would need the main developer houses to produce them - not some garbage mobile team who generates their assets with AI and has no QA testing in place. Now they'll just focus on GTA 6 and how they can milk the living shit out of that for the rest of the century. Rockstar Shelves Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4 Remasters to Focus on GTA 6 - IGN WWW.IGN.COM After its GTA Trilogy remake performed poorly, Rockstar shelved Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remasters to focus on the upcoming GTA 6.
  20. Famous name and kit. Will be missed RIP!
  21. No one likes EA's joke about singleplayer games, even EA | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM EA dissed singleplayer games on Twitter, rankling current and former developers, plus everyone else. EA's shameful jibe would have a bit more merit if they actually had some good multiplayer titles to back up their stance but most of them are actually gutter-ranked games by the community and are average at best by critics. Some of their single player aspects such as Jedi Fallen Order and Titanfall 2 were highly regarded and you then compare that to tripe like Anthem. Most of the top games of the last gen have been single player focused. If it wasn't for EA's loot box model, they'd be long out of business or struggling at best.
