  1. DICE have confirmed they are working on the next Battlefield title and a few staff have moved over from Battlefront to get the game to market in 2016. Just hope they don't screw it up like they did with BF4 at launch!
  2. Wow, Ubisoft are really hot on taking anything down in a matter of hours, Really don't know why they are taking such a negative stance to users who have bought the game that they can't even talk about their experience let alone upload a video! I did see the gameplay video in its entirety and it does look pretty good visually - much better than expected. It showed daytime, night, snow and other weather effects which looked impressive in what was a highly detailed world. In gameplay terms; it does seem a bit bland and the AI looks questionable. The HUD is also a bit cluttered and untidy - it could do with shrinking and moving to the corners of the screen. The gameplay mechanics appear much looser than seen previous but they do seem fluid. Ubisoft's games like this and Siege are very conceptually-delicate so to get the best out of this game; I think people will have to be playing co-op and play it the way it was intended in regards to survival for the best experience. Solo players may get underwhelmed by repetitive missions in typical sandbox fashion.
  3. 28 minutes of gameplay - it wont be up long though
  4. I don't think there is any story really - it just highlights that Ubisoft have a character customisation available and you can play as a female. I really don't know what the format is of this game but it appears most of it is just rolling missions which you can solo or co-op whilst going PvP or PvE. For a game of this magnitude; the publicity has been appalling really and Ubisoft haven't conveyed much detail.
  5. Wow, Ubisoft have been very busy last 24 hours as videos are being removed in their droves. When other developers/publishers are confident in their products; they welcome users uploading or streaming their tiles and the likes of Black Ops 3 beta; Treyarch encouraged users to upload and share. Ubisoft seem to be desperately keeping this game under wraps aside from their upscaled, scripted promotional 'gameplay' videos; apart from the users who have pre-ordered the game and have immediate access. The fact people can't even talk about it just screams suspicion and if you want to play the beta; you have to pay full whack for the privellage. Either they are keeping the best game ever quiet or they have no confidence in the game and are embarrassed. This wont last long https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W9nhmQNFT0
  6. Alpha starts this week on Xbox One apparently but the PC and PS4 versions have been delayed until January which will be the beta. Game is released in March. Here is the latest footage and this game looks worse and worse the more they showcase it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BZLW-T2aAo Also Ubisoft have put in a strict NDA with the following conditions:- NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: If you are selected for the Alpha, you will have to accept an in-game Non-Disclosure Agreement when launching the Alpha for the first time. By agreeing to our NDA in-game, you commit not to:Live stream on Twitch, Youtube Gaming or any other streaming platform, Capture or share gameplay content, Post images or screenshots, Discuss the Alpha. Wankers.
  7. Free on Steam right now! Hilarious but short game with a superb narrative that's humorous throughout. About 600mb and well worth 20 minutes of your time
  8. Apparently this new Far Cry game comes out in February but I didn't even know it existed until today
  9. Well I went against my initial thoughts from the beta and picked this up (at a huge discount of course) and thought I'd share some early opinions. This game looks and feels dated, the mechanics are clunky and frustrating at times and the general netcode makes BF4's launch look epic. This is nowhere near the standard that Ubisoft presented it which is of no surprise. Despite these flaws; there is some fun to be had here but you have to keep your expectations very low indeed. If you can get over the sloppy and lackluster execution; this isn't a bad tactical game especially when you are playing with fellow players who have the capacity to understand how this game should be played. It's predominately a MP 5v5 hostage rescue or bomb defusal game although there are some single player elements mostly consisting of the same thing either through matchmaking or lone wolf where you undertake a mission single handily. The game revolves around Reown points which is like exp and you can unlock operators which each have their own range of specialist equipment and loadouts to unlock and choose from. You can earn this in the single player modes solo or in a team against the AI or you can rank up and gather more Reown from playing casual MP which pits 5v5 full MP. Matches are best of 5 with alternating ends of attack and defend and you can select the appropriate operators for the job in hand on the various maps. The maps are reasonable and the objective points change in each round to keep it challenging. The attack team has to locate intel on the bombs/hostages in the prep phase and the defenders have to secure their objective positions by laying out traps and barricades - each operator has different equipment on offer whether you attack or defend and each player on the team can only choose one specific role that they've unlocked. This means each side and player is equipped differently and it keeps everything interesting. Attack teams can blast walls, repel to the roof and enter via windows and attempt to secure the objective through a variety of means. Defenders can utilise their equipment depending on the operators in the team by creating additional barricades, bulletproof blocks and a range of traps. The matches can be a bit messy and if you're on a clueless team; it can be embarrassing, annoying and a lost cause but aside from that; some games can be really dramatic and make everyone think and work hard to secure the objective and win the round. The movement and gun mechanics are ropey to say the least - it feels like Ubisoft wanted to create some realism of lumping a fully kitted-out operator and making them work for kills but it's just been conveyed in a messy and cumbersome way that it feels dated and awkward. It's good that it's not simplistic like COD but the execution is questionable especially with some dreadful bullet detection and the general netcode. The AI also for the single player aspect is some of the worst I've ever encountered but it makes way for some hilarious but cringeworthy killcams. Competitive mode unlocks at level 20 and I'm 7 so far but I will update in due course if I make it that far. So far though; not bad but not great and certainly not worth it at fully price. If you can overlook the woes and find some others to play with; there is fun to be had. Not the worst game Ubisoft have released in recent times either...
  10. Definitely pick that up at Christmas - usually it's a bargain bin price and for what's on offer; it's an amazing purchase. Very disappointed with this game though and the developers have a few more days to save the game or this could escalate just like the Arkham Knight saga except this time everyone and not just the PC owners will be deeply affected. Game shouldn't have been released really and everyone would be wise to avoid it at this time until it works and is highly discounted.
  11. Looks like Gary is going to miss Salford v Hartlepool on friday in the FA Cup. Bizarre choice he's made... He could have been here but for some reason chose here instead Strange choice
  12. The console versions are apparently just as bad with zero acknowledgement from the developers of this in regards to all the systems. Even loading times of 15+ minutes in places on the Xbox One version which is one of the most shocking things I've ever seen http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/11/30/reports-claim-major-performance-problems-for-just-cause-3 Just Cause 2 was a incredible success on PC with some great mods but the developers have fucked it up right off the bat here.
  13. This game runs like total shit. Persistent stuttering on PC, frame rate drops below 15fps on console and annoying loading times. Don't get it until the developers patch the game and even then we dunno if it'll work to a playable satisfactory standard.
  14. Yep! Everyone is so predictable on Metro too that if you can flank them via the walls and get behind them from the start; you're off to a flyer guaranteed!
  15. Wallrunning is advertising yourself to be killed on most maps The amount of people that run into certain death at the start on Combine is cringeworthy still! I only use wallrunning if I'm feeling lazy getting from A to B but only when I'm 100% sure it's safe to do so. I don't really mind this aspect as it's not such a prominent feature of the game like the exo shits on Advanced Warfare but everything is so much more satisfying on the ground in this game. Actually on some maps; the few wallrunning avenues around are actually outside of the map and just take you away from the action anyway. Good vid though
  16. I've had another crack at the Siege with the beta and I'm still not prepared to pay a penny for this. It could have been a nice game on the side but it just feels really average, repetitive and is a cert to lack any long-term appeal from the wider community. The mechanics are really piss-poor and it's clear Ubisoft are desperately lacking a decent gaming engine for even a simple game like this. I think it will struggle like Battlefront and only capture a few thousand dedicated players. The content on offer right off the bat is pretty limited and makes the £50 price very unattractive this time of the year and for what you actually get. Very disappointing personally as this had potential but it's lacking in almost every respect possible.
  17. Cheers! Yeah they are really effective at building the scorestreak chain with ease and in that game they got me out of a couple of sticky situations which kept the streak going. I haven't played much hardpoint but I can see them being absolutely brutal and tailored for maximum effect in that mode.
  18. Many thanks! Cheers! Yep, that boosted my points total big time Thanks Phil! I'm dying to try those out on Hardpoint and Domination as they are lethal. I really want to try some of the other specialists but I'm struggling to let these sticks go in all honesty. Cheers Dave
  19. Happy thanksgiving to our friends across the water
  20. Thanks I think the VMP played quite a big part - every other gun seems very underpowered when returning to those after using that beast!
  21. Cheers guys You'll be pleased to know that I have 0 videos coming up so you're in for a real treat
  22. Until today, I didn't even have a YouTube account and now I have one and a video to go along with it Probably my best match on Black Ops 3 so far and a monster points score for kill confirmed. Thanks for wasting your time watching this
  23. Steam Exploration sale now up..
