  1. I have Rebirth and it is absolutely incredible. A very simple randomly generated rogue-like RPG that is extremely challenging and never gets old. You could easily get 100+ hours out of it and never be bored. Highly recommended
  2. Outlast and Alien Isolation are amazing and incredibly terrifying. You will poo your pants
  3. The prologue is one of the worst things I have ever experienced in gaming but once you get past that, the game begins to open up nicely!
  4. Man Utd and Man City both lose their CL openers. Jose sacked tomorrow if he doesn't win I'd say
  5. New update has gone out today which introduces Freemode which houses online sessions and events without being lobby-based and having loading times. Hope to check it out in the coming days as I haven't played for some time. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52497/the-gta-online-freemode-events-update-coming-next-week
  6. Just going through MGS V at present and will try and squeeze in Satellite Reign before Black Ops 3 arrives; I'll play that for a few days and then it's Fallout 4 all the way
  7. I'm in two minds about this game - on the one hand it offers fantastic gameplay that you could play for hours but the story is absolutely lackluster and almost non-existent which is shocking for an MGS game. It's very much a mission-based open world game and not a narrative-driven experience that you'd expect from the series. The missions are fun but it can get very repetitive. The story is exceptionally weak, the script is abysmal and there isn't much variation in the missions on offer. Having said that; you could easily get 100 hours + out of it especially with the base/weapons/items development but it can feel a bit tedious at times. There is 50 missions in the main 'story' which is bullshit as only about 12 are regarding the plot - the rest are just side missions practically and we already have 157 of those. Chapter 2 is an insult because most of those missions are just repeated from the first chapter but on a harder difficulty setting - this is one of the biggest design flaws I have ever seen in a videogame and it's a travesty that it's come from Kojima - he's filling in the plot holes by recycling and this just makes the absent story seem cringeworthy. Also the game feels unfinished and there's so many plot holes and filler moments; it's actually quite embarrassing to play at times and you have to wonder what brands of cigarettes they have in Japan as I don't know what the fuck Kojima and his team was smoking at the time when they were designing/writing this game. On the whole, it's a great game in its own right and you will get your money's worth but as a Metal Gear Solid title; it's one of the weaker ones and the way it was produced is mortifying.
  8. WTF IS THIS SHIT? Medieval armour with exosuits? GTFO Sledgehammer
  9. Well if they aren't having a server browser and they're sticking to internal dedi's or P2P; it's clear they have no confidence in DICE or the game itself and don't want a repeat of BF4 where people spent hundreds on servers only for the game to be delivered in the state it was in, on release and long afterwards. It's also a monumental step backwards for multiplayer gaming these days. It can only be browser based, P2P or official dedi's so a 'new matchmaking system' will be along the lines of some complex hybrid listen servers that AW allegedly used - more like bullshit marketing spiel designed to confuse the consumers. No browser = no buy for me now - just when you think EA have turned a corner...
  10. I'm in the same boat pretty much. Having a beta a month before release is not a good way to gather constructive technical feedback and is certainly not a good window to eradicate/fix issues. It'll be more of a demo than a useful performance gathering exercise. BF4 had a beta and that whole saga was a fuck up for many months and more. If the game is good, I'll still have to wait for the community feedback and performance reviews before I take the plunge.
  11. I was nearly out of patience alone yesterday with the prologue on The Phantom Pain. I don't get how they've done Ground Zeroes which is a perfect warm-up to the main game yet the first 90 minutes of TPP is just crawling along a hospital floor hiding under beds and watching some painfully exaggerated cut scenes. Thankfully the game seems pretty good after that though. MGS certainly ain't for everyone - I've already turned this stealth game into an action fest due to sheer impatience
  12. Just started this today and it's a good game but be warned; the prologue is the most tedious, terrible and mind-numbing introductions to a game I have ever seen. I almost refunded it based on that alone. Thankfully it does get better but be prepared for the worst hour and a half of your life gaming-wise.
  13. Christ; this has to be the biggest pre-order bullshit I've ever seen! Great to see John Bain and Jim Sterling weigh in with comments and all the general negativity should give Square Enix food for thought in terms of reviewing this outrageous concept. SE have been edging closer to becoming the worst videogame company on the planet for a while but with this; they'll easily surpass EA and Ubisoft. *edit
  14. Microsoft are releasing a new Xbox One unit this November; the XB1 Elite. It comes with a 1tb hybrid SSD and a brand new heavily modified controller. The package costs $500. This could drive the price of the core units right down for Christmas but for them to be ultra competitive with the PS4; they probably should have slimmed the unit down. A Slim version is inevitable in the next two years though.
  15. Shipment was nuts! Tiniest map ever where even 4v4 was too much Funny 50 man FFA
  16. Black Ops 3 is open to all users on PC/XB1
  17. Level cap increased to 34, Uplink mode added and Stronghold map now available. Also the map list has been discovered in the game files on PC mp_apartments mp_spire mp_chinatown mp_sector mp_rise mp_ethiopia mp_havoc mp_stronghold mp_veiled mp_biodome mp_nuketown_x mp_redwood mp_airship
  18. Have a look here Mike http://steamcommunity.com/app/388520/discussions/0/527273452875383371/
  19. It's simply a combination of the MW2 riot shield sounds and a typcial night out in Tottenham, North London
  20. Hopefully we'll have some more games later if we're both on. Just played a couple of games and the connection has been pretty decent although it does worsen at peak times and can be inconsistent but on the whole; it's not been all that bad. Hopefully we'll get the snow map before the beta ends and give that a try. Yep, that's occurred ever since the update yesterday. It's bloody irritating and I have to take my headphones off in the final killcam. I liken it to a riot shield being hit by bullets, farting and a car alarm going off! Not sure what's happened to cause it but everyone is affected it seems.
  21. Good games a moment ago Joe - 3 matches and 2 wins and the last one we absolutely hammered them The Anglo-American connection didn't seem too bad in all honesty although that first game was a personal nightmare going 20-20
  22. It's coming back https://store.playstation.com/#!/pt-br/jogos/call-of-duty-black-ops-iii-digital-deluxe-edition/cid=UP0002-CUSA03005_00-BLACKOPS3DELUXE0 ''Receba o mapa bônus NUK3TOWN. Este mapa, que está entre os favoritos dos fãs, foi reprojetado completamente para dar destaque ao novo sistema de movimento encadeado com base em ímpeto da Treyarch, proporcionando batalhas repletas de adrenalina''
  23. Glad you're enjoying it so far Joe! There was an update earlier and the game seems to be running much smoother also. Are you using the KB+M setup or are you using a 360 pad like me and fellow console noob Phi?l
