  1. I've sent you a guest pass Mike so just redeem from your Steam inventory.
  2. Ah good point! That explains it
  3. I've played nearly 4 hours or so on the beta and BO3 seems a really decent game. I don't think it will rejuvenate the series to the heights that it once held but it will certainly bring a lot of people back and keep them playing for many months after release. The mechanics are easy to use and very smooth. The grounded gameplay as opposed to the verticality of Advanced Warfare just makes it so much better. The game also feels more relaxed as opposed to an absolute sweat-fest that AW was. I just found that game exhausting to play with the constant fast pace and the using of and playing against the exo abilities. BO3 feels like a sensible Call of Duty despite the far-futuristic setting. Nice to see some of the classic scoretreaks return although some seem really OP and the UAV is a bit easy to earn in objective matches. Some of the perks and specials are also a bit generous or too powerful but it's nothing that can't be addressed. The heart of the game is definitely that of a solid CoD title though that may need some tweaks and balances prior to release. The guns seem interesting to use and varied. I'm liking the ARK-7 which feels like your classic AK-47. Looking forward to unlocking more. The leveling does seem much slower although there is 10 prestiges and 55 levels. I was still level 1 after my first game which was a full one and am only level 15 at this time. I could get to level 20 in about 4 matches on BO2 but I must have played 25 so far in BO3 and it seems more like an MW2 grind. Don't mind this though - at least people wont be Prestige Master come the first week of December and the developers then having to add another 10-15 prestiges more. Treyarch have already confirmed they wont do this so hopefully there's good incentive to keep playing a long duration and trying to reach max prestige without doing it in the first month. The maps seem decent - only got access to three so far; Hunted, Evac and Combine. The spawns need to serious work though. The major concern has been the lag so far along with inconsistent bullet detection. These are famed negatives from previous CoD games that seem to plague Treyarch since the original Black Ops. This needs serious addressing by release else it could have a very bad affect right off the bat.
  4. I saw both vids - the live report and the POV and it's one of the most shocking things I've ever seen in my life. What makes this more alarming is the way such clips are farmed round social media and shared between people like it's some 1D, Kim Kardashian or Justin Bieber piece of gossip. Both clips could be viewed on most mainstream news sites without even as much as an age restriction. No doubt they are looking to maximise clicks for a tragedy within their own industry. Obviously the gunman left a lasting effect by showcasing his despicable act in the public domain but the way the clip is thrown from pillar to post I find equally disturbing. Not much leaves me feeling sick with shock but to think that younger people could access it so easily and being blinded by social curiosity that they simply have to view it. It's a truly tragic day and I think the scenes will have a lasting affect in many ways. Hope that evil twisted twat rots in hell.
  5. The shooter shot himself whilst driving and trying to evade the cops but apparently he's still alive. Hope he survives so he'll face proper justice instead of taking the easy way out. Fat deranged fuck
  6. That was an MLG performance there Phil No worries; you left just before some crippling lag came into play so I departed the game after. Will be on a bit later I hope
  7. Horrific scenes http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3211529/WDBJ7-reporter-Alison-Parker-Adam-Ward-shot-live-TV-Moneta-gunman.html
  8. We were also about 15 points down and even turned it around to lead by about 3 points until they started repeatedly dying I've sent a gift code to Joe which he's just informed me that he's received and will install later. I've gifted Jordie but not sure if he's noticed it in his inventory yet. Diddums is eligible also and Harrison has just joined so hopefully we can get a team going later on if I'm still awake. I will be back shortly though after a little break and a catch up on my breakfast
  9. Cheers Phil! Some good games just then - typically the one time were on the same bloody team; we're lumbered with a bunch of noobs If it weren't for them dying all the time; we would have nailed that match single handily! http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/693906639084097416/F4F6620CABD36B8D867B9AB8F2CD45157006C905/
  10. Aimbot clear as day. Pre-order cancelled. Refund requested. PC thrown out in the rubbish. Samaritans called. I don't know why I bother sometimes http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/693906639084096714/D691A434E501DD0FA3BA12E23153E145A697D6EE/
  11. You already have automatic access Dave as you already own a COD game on record so you can just install the beta from your library without needing a code.
  12. I'll be in-game later Phil also armed with a 360 controller. I can't believe I spent £40 on pre-ordering this for the beta only to already have a key because I own previous COD's Oh well, I've got two spare guest passes now so I'll start lobbing them out
  13. This started out a couple of weeks ago as a data swipe attack on an infidelity-oriented 'dating' website but it's propelled into one of the most infamous and hard-hitting hacks ever that has now been linked to two suicides and the exposure of a 'christian' family man & YouTuber. About 37m account details have been siphoned and the hackers have begun to farm the data out into the public domain in small droves. Divorce proceedings have also begun in some cases and it seems many others are living in fear or on the edge about what will happen next. There doesn't seem to be much sympathy to anyone affected including those who took their own lives. Me personally; I feel people make their own choices and they have to accept the consequences of their actions. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3208907/The-Ashley-Madison-suicide-Texas-police-chief-takes-life-just-days-email-leaked-cheating-website-hack.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3206320/Father-surprised-wife-news-pregnant-announced-suffered-miscarriage-paying-user-Ashley-Madison.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3205657/Wife-starts-Ashley-Madison-divorce-proceedings-husband-outed-member-infidelity-website.html It'll be interesting to see how this saga develops and it's almost unheard of that the public majority side with hackers of this nature but these rare circumstances have brought a sense of 'just deserts' to the table to the affected users...
  14. 10/10 from both GameSpot and IGN! Can't wait to get this next week http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/08/24/metal-gear-solid-5-the-phantom-pain-review?utm_source=IGN%20hub%20page&utm_medium=IGN%20(front%20page)&utm_content=1&utm_campaign=Coverstory http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/metal-gear-solid-v-the-phantom-pain-review/1900-6416224/
  15. Good stuff Phil! I'm going to try with the controller as it did well for me on AW especially with full aim-assist. I'll also see how I fair with M+K but I think it'll be easier for me with my 360 pad with all the wall running and jumping bollocks. I still may take the plunge and pre-order before it starts as I've got a bit of money put aside but I will feel a doughnut if it goes open the very next day
  16. Jesus, this is tragic http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3207016/Pilot-pulled-burning-wreckage-plane-crashes-Shoreham-Airshow.html
  17. I'm praying that Treyarch do an open beta on PC because I don't want to lay down £40 just to try it. I could get a refund but Valve are pissed off with me enough after the amount of ones I've got so far. I don't want to be £40 out of pocket especially with MGS V out next month. I may have to give it a miss if they don't open it to all like they did with the PS4 version today. If you're reading Phil, Joe, Jordie and co; are you pre-ordering the game?
  18. Fantastic final! This game is not only brilliant to play but awesome to watch also. Some very talented players out there that make these matches very good quality indeed. I wish I was that skilled - my timing and general defending is garbage!
  19. I'd actually prefer this to be a hacker rather than lag as at least it would hopefully be an isolated issue rather than widespread. If this is pure lag; it could seriously ruin the game right from the get-go. I love Treyarch games but they always have the worst fucking connections compounded with mortifying hit detection. These two don't go hand in hand so it could be an intolerable experience on release. The TTK seems well rapid which is only favorable if you have a good connection - if you're a second behind the action with such a fast TTK for other players; you'll get obliterated now matter how good you are and it just adds to the frustration.
  20. Black Ops 3 beta is open to all so you don't need a code now.
  21. Hacker or lag? You be the judge
  22. Quality!
  23. Pedro who was signing for Man Utd yesterday has somehow ended up in Chelsea to finalise a deal there instead....
  24. Call of Duty campaigns are always short, sweet but shallow. BO3's will probably be no more than the usual 6 hours. Apparently all missions are unlocked from the start too. I'm expecting the campaign to be pretty bland and pointless even in co-op but the zombies portion should provide some good fun.
