  1. I had no choice to get out when I did so I was entitled to a refund but after doing 3 side quests killing captains just to level up my character; that was enough for me to duck out. Simply not a fan of this format as I prefer a flowing story rather than it scattered among filller. I am coming from Divinity Original Sin 2 though so perhaps my expectations were a bit high.
  2. Wayne Rooney scores from inside his own half against West Ham once again! Everton have had a bad season so far but West Ham are really in deep shit especially with Moyes in the crows nest.
  3. Started the game today and had enough of it already. It looks stunning but the characters are dreadful, the writing is abysmal, the combat is iffy and the design is basically Shadow of War. After doing the first mission; the next one was 4 levels too much for me to do so to level up, I have to do side missions and the first was to kill a captain and the next one was exactly the same. As if Ubisoft's open world sandboxes weren't barren enough with weak ass content sploged on top; this filler design of 'killing captains' I just absoutely loathe. It's so fucking cheap and underwhelming. I hate shallow open world games and sadly more and more developers are reliant on this shitty design. There didn't seem to be any logic behind these side missions either - I've just hit the town and suddenly there's these random missions where I have to kill somebody in a location. The developers couldn't even be fucked to tell us why to mask the fact this was simply to level up. I praise the art teams at the studio and think Ubisoft have some stunning technology backing them but the people who write, direct and design these games are fucking morons. Dunno if The Witcher 3 has impacted my judgement but that is how games should be done especially ones that are on par budget-wise.
  4. Wow, that's pretty lame having to hide behind your blog to avoid any media scrutiny. The game is in a very fragile state right now at a very crucial time and things like this don't bode well.
  5. Have fun with Phil's joystick
  6. Softcore?
  7. Here's my Destiny heatmap
  8. I had a brief look and it's quite good. I like how they've given objectives which helps - Treyarch made Black Ops 3 so complicated to the extent, you needed 4 people in sync doing fucking handstands whilst signing the national anthem in a ritual just to open a bloody door. If you didn't watch it on YouTube or follow the lore to its smallest detail; you were screwed. WW2 seems more simple and enjoyable than Treyarch's overly-complex iteration now. I uninstalled the game so wont be playing it again but zombies will probably be the only worthwhile thing about it for many people.
  9. Too bad it's only for COD Online in China and doesn't look very good but hopefully this will come into future games before it's too late and be bigger than just 18 players. Seems like it's been made in a rush to jump on the massive Chinese PUBG bandwagon and Activision want a piece of it.
  10. The current system is consistent XP earned but the progress bar getting bigger the more you play in a session or repeat the same events. Their reworked plan is to lower the XP rates across the board but have a numerical display of how much is required to fill the bar so people can work out how much is needed and what events they like to run. Doesn't appear to be much of a solution - just a change of transparency really. To be honest; the statement looks like something EA and DICE would have concocted.
  11. Bungie have fixed this 'problem'....... but only after they got caught https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2017/11/25/destiny-2-has-been-secretly-reducing-xp-gains-and-is-stopping-after-fans-caught-on/
  12. Very impressed with Siege and how well it's been maintained and supported. It's amazing how well Ubisoft can do when they keep things simple instead of creating these overly-ambitious open world online sandboxes with weak-ass features and mediocre gameplay elements. I can actually see Siege lasting a very long time especially with the welcoming price point and booming community.
  13. Much improved display from Everton today only losing 4-1 to Southampton. After losing 1-5 to Atalanta on Thursday and having no manager; some people were concerned that the £140,000,000 they spent in the summer was wasted. After today; there's clearly signs that they are slowly improving
  14. Grab a cheap 4K TV - 32 inch ones are reasonably priced now. If you sit reletively close to it; you could also think about getting a curved one for that extra immersion. If you then decide to upgrade to a PS4PRO down the line; you'll be fully kitted out
  15. Funny how headquarters is being fixed as a 'priority' but other more pressing technical issues have been put on the backburner/ignored since launch. They want the HQ up simply because of the paid $upply drops coming into the game and Activision are already a week behind in implementing this because of the issues associated with the servers. Sledgehammer are also one of the most ignorant, deluded and full of shit developers in gaming so I can see many problems never being rectified. They were super fast to acknowledge and fix crucial issues and work with the community during the beta phase but now they have people's money and paid supply drops are coming in; nothing else matters. They persistently ignore paying customers on social media but as soon as one of the Activsion paid cocksuckers starts praising them with scripted drivel; they are quick to respond to that. I really wanted to give SHG another chance after their disgraceful antics on Advanced Warfare but once again they are just behaving like arseholes and I can see Activision putting the final nail in the coffin and the game falling to pieces the same way Modern Warfare Remastered did last year. That game died after 1 month and that was just down to supply drops. WW2 has far bigger issues and supply drops haven't hit yet. I uninstalled this on Sunday and whilst I did enjoy some of my time along with the campaign; it's sad to see both Sledgehammer and Activision shit on their product and the community worse than ever.
  16. Called this two weeks ago and it was inevitable. These will no doubt have stat-based variants to entice people to buy supply drops rather than slowly earn them and it wouldn't surprise me if Activision also inject their new patent into the mix with matchmaking manipulations. People that stop playing the game wont impact Activision revenues because they already have the users money and any losses on DLC from those departing players is mitigated by the far more lucrative purchases of Supply Drops from the remaining die-hard ones left playing the game. This practice has been going on since Advanced Warfare and it's only going to get worse in the franchise as the years go on and Activision's new patent intentions proves this.
  17. HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-42054350
  18. I'd take a stab at EA wanting to maximise the Star Wars licence so they offered to fund Titanfall 3 on the basis that Respawn also make a Star Wars game which will likely be far more lucrative. There is absolutely no way that EA bought the entire Respawn studio for just the Titanfall brand. EA weren't even willing to fund the original so Microsoft had to chime in the dosh to get it finished and Titanfall 2 peformed poorly although that was down to many factors mostly to do with EA and their scheduling. I definitely think EA are using Respawn to make this new game and they used TF3 as the sweetner to complete the deal. I don't think any other studio would have been willing to fund a new Titanfall with its underwhelming performance and the studios reluctance to explore other types of games. It's probably a deal everyone is happy with but it could do more harm than good in terms of the studio biting off more than they can chew. EA wouldn't care because they know they can make a solid return from just the Star Wars game alone which will likely pay for Titanfall 3 and more.
  19. Deals have already started at some retailers and.. I've not been a big spender on Black Friday previous but this year I may have a gander. What's everyone thinking of getting this year?
  20. Only 9 core maps is beginning to take its toll especially when a couple are already ones I dislike (Gustav and the ship) The likes of MW2 launched with something like 16 maps and WW2 has the smallest selection by far out of all the COD games. Although there is 3 war maps; those are only built for that mode so the core selection is very limited. It makes me wonder about DLC too - I can see there being 3 core maps, 1 war and one zombies which wouldn't be ideal if you're just into regular multiplayer modes and don't play zombies or war. I would have thought WW2 would have at least 12/13 maps plus 3 war ones. Activision have already leaked the first DLC in Jan and map images were found in the encryted files of the gold build which suggests at least 3 maps (Paris, Prague and another) were removed/withheld prior to launch. I do like most of the maps but the total count is very disappointing.
  21. I don't think 5 million people expected the dedicated servers to be taken down and replaced with P2P because of the overwhelming problems seen worldwide with them. This is an unacceptable situation regardless of whether someone is directly affected or not because of the affect it can have on the community as a whole. Your experience is certainly not refective of that worldwide. A bit of 'lag' here and there can be expected but that's not the case for many with this game and that's not what users deserve from a billion-dollar franchise in 2017. This game has been executed in shambolic fashion - the engine is ancient, the hybrid servers are dogshit, the netcode is horrendous and the amount of bugs s are ridiculous. It's embarrassing really. If people haven't seen the issues first hand or haven't read anything Sledgehammer has said then that's fair enough but do not underestimate how tragic this game is in its current state. This video pretty much sums up what it's like for a lot of people every single game
  22. Emirates Stadium has been added
  23. In theory, dedicated servers should make a difference if the matchmaking was connection-based but with it being down to skill; things like lag can still be an issue as you can be on a server with users dotted around the world and then the weakest connection is then compensated against. The only benefit having dedi's over P2P is not relying on one sole connection and suffering migrations if the host is unreliable and disconnects. If the servers were pure connection-based or you could choose a locale to play in; peoples experiences would be great, consistent and fair.
