I don’t understand how you can impeach a president and nothing come of it.  I appreciate that it is because it will get blocked in the house but still it’s like a Judge telling you they found you guilty then letting you go.

The democrats will be hoping this will leave a stain on him even if he gets cleared. I guess the laws of this were drawn up at a time when the house was viewed with higher unbiased integrity. Even if there is overwhelming evidence against their man, many republicans will still vote in his favour I bet.

  2. Sensible for SCUF and Elgato to get out now because the Xbox X Series and PS5 are expecting to have some very functional controllers and built-in recording systems that could've hit them both very hard in terms of growth and innovation. Corsair's acquisition also suggests they will be looking to delve more into the PC market which doesn't have a huge focus on modded controllers.

True it does. But if they hit targets they release funds to developers for more developing. That's obvious. Its all connected and regardless of the overall money in Activision - they won't support a game itself if it isn't finding a way to self monetizing themselves.

Activision made $800m every 4 months on Black Ops 4 since last December and all we got in-game was the shittiest and cheapest microtransactions made by a portion of the studio that get paid regardless. Everything else content-wise was pretty much withheld and expected to release anyway. I don't believe the COD community gets anything off the back of its continued investment and the more they make off of microtransactions, the more they will put in for the sake of shareholders rather than the community.  Even when COD was in the gutter with Infinite Warfare, the lack of sales and playerbase did not have any impact on the post-launch support.

If this was a non-AAA, self-sustainable title not bound by a year cycle and dependent on continued financial support then fair enough but COD games are pretty much produced off the back of a blank cheque and never does the community ever get anything back even on the upcoming title.  Whether they make £1bn or £5bn, the game will be the same as will the support - the only difference is how much the shareholders and executives get paid off.

  4. I have seen it a zillion times either on every ad break on TV or through 90% of YouTube videos this year. I hate everyone in it and wish them nothing but hell in their future endeavors, I hate all their voices, I hate the prick playing the piano, I hate how the word 'dying' has lost its meaning from being a tragic event to simply running out of battery and I hate how Google thinks this is how people behave - if anyone on my bus in the morning turned around and said ''HELP I AM DYING'' and I said ''do you need medical assistance'' and they responded ''I need a charger'' whilst waving their laptop in my face, I would probably punch them, even a female under these circumstances, as I will not discriminate😎 If you run out of juice then fuck you and shove your device up your arse sideways.

Plus if they pay $20 for this it'll mean they can support the game a little longer which means i can get some more free stuff hopefully.

The money generated wont go to the developers - it goes straight to Activision as always. I'm pretty sure the devs have a set budget to work with regardless and it's not like the upkeep is coming out of IW's pockets either - they get their wages regardless of what work they do. Even Infinite Warfare had huge post-support despite its lack of success.

The more people that buy into microtransactions like this, the more they will do it is the reality sadly.

One of the biggest complaints is that they're trying to copy how Fortnite works with the battle pass and the store yet COD is still a £60(or £45 if you're not stupid enough to buy it digital) game. If the game WAS free to play then you probably, possibly, maybe, wouldn't see as many complaints.

That's what made BO4 so despicable. Full price game, season pass (renamed) microtransactions galore, battle passes plus other monetization. The only thing missing from that game was a monthly subscription as every other revenue avenue was in play.

  7. Off the top of my head

    01. The Witcher 3 (PC)

    02. Black Ops (PS3)

    03. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)

    04. God of War (PS4)

    05. Mafia 2 (PC)

    06. Grand Theft Auto V (360, PS4, PC)

    07. The Last of Us (PS3/4)

    08. American Truck Simulator (PC)

    09. Far Cry 3 (360)

    10. Portal 2 (PC)

Other considerations: Saints Row 3, The Walking Dead, Dishonored 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hotline Miami, Gemini Rue, Dying Light, A Hat in Time, Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3. I'm sure there will be changes plus additions.
