  1. The developers are literally based down the road from where I live but I'm just not a fan of their games. It's great to see them try something new outside of their safe Sniper Elite series but they just can't seem to shake off their reputation for making games that are just somewhat decent but nothing overly special or original. I don't have Game Pass so I wont try it and I wouldn't want to pay anything more than £13 for something like this. May have a look in the future but it seems to be just another ok game from them.
  2. Out today in early access. Been in development for a few years and has come a long way. Some of the most impressive animations I have seen
  3. Honestly, this game holds up so well I'm not sure a remaster will do much especially with the mods already out there. It's only viable if you wish to get it on console. I've been going through the 1999 classic and it just looks and plays so well that anyone would think this is the actual remastered version!
  4. Released in early access the other day
  5. Anything to justify the upgrade other than a change of the default colour. If something is in rigorous development for 6 years, I expect to see results other than colour change and taskbar arrangement. Windows 7 was revolutionary in functionality and appearance, and Windows 10 provided a strong framework for app integration and virtual reality. I was expecting Windows 11 to lead the way in AI development and tooling but instead it's still focusing on needless features from 2009.
  6. Been using Windows 11 for over a year now and it's just so plain and boring, I don't think there's any feature that stands out. Only time anything pops into my head about it is when it's doing an updated on shutdown. Other than that, Microsoft may as well become the new Apple and release a new one every year for no reason.
  7. This game comes out in early access in about 10 days and is basically a realistic version of The Sims. It looks super ambitious and incredibly impressive at times. If they pull it off it could be absolutely massive
  8. I kind of have mixed feelings about this so far. At times the game looks great but the performance demands are needlessly insane. They've done a good job with improving the assets and a part of me wishes they left it at just that because the ray tracing is draining. The Nvidia slop of DLSS and Frame Gen helps with performance but degrades the image significantly and I wish developers would stop bailing themselves out with this shite. Not only is it an attempt at covering up poor optimisation but it cons the user into thinking they are running a game better than they are whilst unwittingly suffering from a poorer quality experience - like putting a band aid on a deep cut and pretending everything is fine. Developers need to operate within their means and this game is a prime example of them not. They've gone for RTX overkill and hoped that the Nvidia extras can cover this up. I don't know if Source is a good engine for ray tracing - Portal RTX was brutally demanding too but this isn't how things should be done. Doom Eternal is a prime example of how it should be.
  9. Brilliant performance from Newcastle today and a woeful week for Liverpool. Though Burn, Livramento and Joelinton were all exceptional and very happy for Newcastle to win something finally and deservedly so. Shocking display in all honesty from Liverpool - lethargic and never got going.
  10. Looks promising
  11. Demo coming on March 18th
  12. Many are seeing this as Warzone's last chance but the reception hasn't been very favourable as Activision seemingly throw one last ditch attempt at saving the mode. What made the original Verdansk/Warzone so popular was the solid mechanics, BR still somewhat fresh and the global lockdown. The servers were also reliable and there wasn't a culture of cheaters. Warzone has gone downhill ever since with an increase in cheaters, the removal of content and a mishmash of mechanical changes that really affect the core gameplay. With BO6 seen as the worst for authentic movement and Activision still trying (and failing) to create a functional anti-cheat, I think this will flop massively. It may bring a lot of people back initially but I cannot see any longevity and it all seems rather desperate.
  13. Leaked Battlefield 6 gameplay
  14. It could've been 2pts but now the gap is 13pts just 5 days later! Arsenal should put all their efforts into the Champions League now but their lack of firepower wont get them very far even against PSV. Not signing anyone in January was fatal and although they've been unlucky with injuries, they should've brought a couple in even on short term loans for the rest of the season. A weaker strike force is better than none.
  15. Just finished the original Dino Crisis and what a remarkable game! I was taken aback at how challenging it is in comparison with Resident Evil - combat is tough and the puzzles are incredibly hard at times. You need a pad and pen at hand just for codes and remembering certain solving techniques! It's refreshing to play such a rewarding and difficult game and it puts into perspective how easy games are now and even how basic the iconic RE games were for its puzzles. Great story and I also like how there are choices you can make which change your route/objectives like in Resident Evil 3. Wish there was more weapons but on the whole it's a superb experience

    F.E.A.R

90% off on GOG right now - £0.79 for a full game and two expansions. Monolith are being shut down by WB unfortunately
  17. F.E.A.R Platinum 90% off on GOG at £0.79. Sadly Monolith are being shut down by those Warner Brother bastards but their contribution will live on forever.
  18. I've also just voted for Driver 1 and 2. There is an unofficial port for the sequel on PC called ReDriver with lots of QoL fixes but I'd love to see both games get revived for retail. Played both on the PS1 back in the day and they were both legendary particularly the original but the texture pop-up was pretty horrendous.
  19. They use AI to 'help develop' in-game assets on their billion dollar franchise. After over a year of accusations and months of persistent denials, thanks to a Steam Store change requiring developers and publishers to disclose such things, the truth has finally been revealed. Call of Duty admits it's using generative AI to 'help develop some in-game assets', and suddenly all those poorly made calling cards make sense | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Disappointingly, I just grinded for an AI-generated calling card." So people are further shelling out £25 a season for generic rewards that were made by a machine and not crafted by an art team. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if we soon found out that the map layouts were done by AI too because no human would've been idiotic enough to design half the maps BO6 has with intent. Also gun camos will probably soon fall under the spotlight as people aren't going to let this go easily without more answers. Calling cards were always a pretty iconic part of the series and I used to love unlocking them through challenges especially from MW2 to BO2. This news for me just taints the franchise even further and you just can't trust what you're playing has been produced legitimately and to the best standard possible.
