  1. Coming in December. This one looks like it should be good from what you can see.
  2. The Shallows. Heard the hype about it being as good as Jaws etc etc...IMO it does not even hold a candle to Jaws. Best part of the movie is that Blake Lively was in a bikini for 95% of it and her ass is looking F-I-N-E. Other than that not very good.
  3. Dinner with Mom, Sis, Bro in law, Niece & Nephew and probably joined by Nieces BF as well. Plan to really enjoy the dinner this year because I went back to my strict healthy way of eating again about 2 months ago. Have dropped another 24lbs because of it but man do I miss good tasting food. So plan to splurge and have some fried shrimp, garlic rolls, and broasted potatoes for Easter dinner ...oh and a Reese's peanut butter easter egg for desert!
  4. Watched Passengers. Really excellent flick, much better than I even expected it to be. Chris Pratt has become one of my favorite actors lately.
  5. Just watched Storks. I thought it was pretty damn funny. I don't like Andy Shamburg in anything but his voice as Junior was really good in this.
  6. Watched Arrival over the weekend. I honestly felt lost during the movie, and I like to think I'm a pretty smart fella that can keep up with any movie. I understand what they were trying to do after it went off, but while you are watching the movie it is next to impossible to not think "What the ^%$#* is going on here?". In my opinion they tried to make it too much of a thinking movie and ended up just confusing the viewer.
  7. Glad you bumped this I had forgot all about this show. Looks like our US version (battle bots) starts up season 2 mid June. Will have to try to remember that so I don't miss it, I enjoyed the first season.
  8. Almost 4 months of work finally comes to an end tonight. Just finished doing all the finish work on the stand and canopy and am now I'm finally done with the 240g tank build. Was a long and tiring project with well over 200+hrs into building the background/stand/canopy and all the other little details but now I can finally sit down in front of it with a cup of coffee and enjoy my fish
  9. I quit drinking years ago so nothing with alcohol here. Black coffee is probably what I drink the most of on a daily bases. Favorite tasting drink though are these http://www.sparklingice.com/product/black-raspberry The black raspberry one tastes soooooooooooo good!
  10. Oh God Jack Black is in it....He's on my top 5 actors I can not stand list
  11. You're dead to me! lol. I loved the original, for some reason it's just one of those movies were you have to leave it on anytime you are flipping by and find it on TV. I actually just watched it again not even 2 weeks ago. One of the cable channels (TBS I think?) has been showing it a lot lately.
  12. I can tell you with 99.9% certainty what they are going to do. They are going to do exactly what they have done for the past 10 years now ...take a classic movie/TV show and recast it with poorly cast actors, toss in a bunch of toilet humor to appeal to the low IQ of this generation, add a 20' something girl in skimpy clothes to force the sex appeal aspect which has nothing to do with the story, and then advertise it as "rip roaring hilarious must see two thumbs up!". Am I close?
  13. I like him in other films, he's not a half bad actor at all these days, I just don't think he's a good fit for a Jumanji type film role.
  14. I still have to do all the finish work on the stand and build the canopy yet, plus finish the 20g x-tall tank with the sandfall that goes in the center of the stand under this tank. So still lots to be done, but as of last night it's filled, up to temp, and fish are in and happy. Water still has to clear up a bit more, but this morning I was able to sit and have my morning coffee enjoying the fruits of over 100 plus hours of work Short video of the tank running with fish in it now... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDrdkagiJWg&feature=youtu.be
  15. Planet of the apes and Guardians are the two I have seen previews for while at the show and am looking fwd too. I REALLY hope you are kidding about a Jumanji remake / reboot / sequel / whatever they are calling it these days... with the Rock?? I loved Jumanji and it would be a travesty to try to remake that, especially with the Rock
  16. Watched the Accountant yesterday. I'm not much of a Ben Afleck fan but he was pretty decent in this movie.
  17. One was a small odd shaped one that was only 8" wide by 23" tall. Guy had a pie shaped corner tank he wanted it for. The other is a 6ft one I'm still working on for the customer. I'll snap a pic of it when it is done. Here is where it is at today. Buffed the front panel for a 3rd time, background & stalactites all sealed and installed for good now, mounted various silk plants for some greenery, cave lighting all set up and substrate is in. Probably be all the work for a while as I have rods and other backgrounds to finish but I hope to be back on it again in a couple weeks. Satisfied with the progress for now. . .
  18. After cutting my hand about a month ago I had to take a break from working on this project while it healed. The hand has been back to pretty much good as new now for about the past 2 weeks but during that downtime for some reason I just kind of lost a bit of the enthusiasm for working on this. I think stepping away from it plus this time of year with spring just around the corner and rod orders starting to flood in I've been thinking more of fishing trips & outdoors than working on this. The good news is since I started back on three other customer backgrounds about a week ago that finally rejuvenated my desire to get back onto this big tank again. So last night after stopping work on customer backgrounds for the night I pulled the background out of my tank and spent a while sealing it with Pond Shield Pond Armor. Later tonight I will be mounting it permanently into the tank now. All sealed with Pond Shield and ready to install
  19. Watched "Bleed for This" today. It's a true story of Vinny Pazienza whom was a boxer in the 80's that was in a car wreck and broke his neck but came back against the odds to win the title again. Really good movie with a lot of heart. Well worth the watch if you get a chance.
  20. Rented The Secret Life of Pets last night. It was cute. Not on the same level as Finding Nemo, or Over the Hedge or anything like that, but was enjoyable.
  21. The other guys honestly had me scratching my head yesterday wondering WTF was going on because I couldn't see the pics lol
  22. Went and saw the new Kong Skull Island this morning. I am a big fan of the King Kong movies and even enjoyed the previous one with Adrian Brody and Naomi Watts back in 2005 so it pains me to say this, but this new one kind'a sucks. I won't go into any spoilers but I will say that showing Kong in the first 2 minutes of a King Kong film is never a good idea. It takes away all the build up and anticipation. The dialogue was a bit lame/cheesy in spots, and some attempts at humor were just unfunny at best. Not a terrible movie, but wouldn't even bother watching it again if it were on TV either.
  23. Yep I just happened to be standing at the kitchen window looking out right as it happened. Was crazy to see. Weather here this year is nuts. We had 70 degrees here last month which set records. Then 70mph winds last week, now this morning I have to go out in a few minutes and shovel about 5" of snow and its only about 20 degrees. weirdest weather I have seen in years.
  24. Windows 7 on PC. I don't use mobiles at all so it won't allow me to leave the 2nd blank.
