  1. Get your minds out of the gutter! But I do have wood. Major wind storm blew at 70mph for about 10 hrs here in Michigan last Wednesday and brought this tree down across my drive & yard. Thank God it went that direction and not towards the house!
  2. Watched "Sully" today. It was not only a great performance by Tom Hanks to portray Sully but it was a bit eye opening as to what Capt Sullenberger had to actually go through with the NTSB after the water landing. Great movie I really enjoyed it.
  3. Know what, this shows just how bad it really was. I saw it and forgot I even watched it LOL. I forgot I actually rented it back before Christmas. This was my take on it I posted back in the fall here after watching it lol " Well just watched Terminator Genisys.. One word describes it.... Terrible! Absolutely positively TERRIBLE. They tried to make it so intricate with all the time traveling and alternate time dimensions but the only thing they accomplished is to keep you confused as fuck and get to the point where you don't give a damn about the characters what so ever. I literally was asking myself after 1 hour how much longer this crap could go on?? My suggestion for the Terminator franchise? Get in the time travel device and go back to the day after T2 was released and kill the franchise there. Because T2 was the least decent Terminator movie. I honestly don't think I would sit through this latest one again for anything less than $50 lol. "
  4. I've been starting to catch up on some of the movies I have been wanting to see that I missed out on the past year or two and Terminator Genisys was one of them. Maybe I won't bother though. So not even close to being as good as the first or second? (third I found only okay).
  5. Just finished watching The Magnificent Seven. Excellent movie! I always enjoy a good western and I would certainly say this remake is probably the best western I have seen since Open Range came out. Denzel and Chris Pratt were both really good in this one. Highly recommend it if you have not seen it yet.
  6. I agree about Ant Man as well. Which was surprising because I am not a Paul Rudd fan (outside of 40 yr old virgin) and I usually don't get much into the super hero movies, but I found Ant Man to be pretty good.
  7. Rented the new Independence Day movie that came out last summer. Been wanting to see it because I was always a big fan of the first one so popped it into the dvd player tonight and was looking forward to a good flick.....too bad that did not happen. Good God that movie SUCKED. It was not just bad, it sucked on so many levels. Acting was terrible, even Jeff Goldblum whom is always a good actor sucked in this one. WAYYYYY too much CGI and green screen. Even shit that didn't need to be green screen, was green screen. Writing and story was just as bad as the rest of the movie. Did I mention it sucked? . . . . . sucked.
  8. There seems to be an issue with the forum logo, it's backwards.....no wait now its okay....no wait, it's backwards....no it's okay....no wait...lol
  9. Yep I even had that phone back in the day. That was the one and only cell phone I ever had. Got rid of it and never got another one but I did have that one for a couple years. SNAKE RULES! lol
  10. Pretty shocking to see this today. No idea he was even sick but guess he had some sort of heart surgery and died this morning from complications from that. http://www.tmz.com/2017/02/26/bill-paxton-dead-dies/
  11. Went and saw Rouge One finally today. Was pretty good. Having grown up during the original Star Wars era I am always critical of the "new" Star Wars movies, but this one was pretty enjoyable. I'm not a huge fan of too much CGI but they did a really good job of the CGI in this one to the point of almost not even being able to tell one of the Characters was not even real. Only knock I have against these latest two Star Wars films is that they have killed off more main characters in the past two films then they ever did in the rest of them combined
  12. Up to about 80 hours into the background now but I do see the end in sight, at least far as the background goes. Finished up another full day of painting and now have all the paint work done. All that is left to do on the background now is to pull it back out and seal it with pond shield and then install it permanently and work on installing the blue cave lights. Then I can start on finishing the stand. Few pics of it currently. First pic is with just the camera flash then the rest are with the full spectrum LED tank lights on.
  13. Very slow going since it is so large of a background but spent the weekend getting the first of the 5 panels of the new tanks background painted. Decided to go with a bit darker of a look on this one than some of the ones in the past and really like the way it is turning out. Fish colors should really pop against it once done. One section done and four more to go
  14. I just got the mountain bike out and out about 4 miles on it today. First ride of the year. Man it felt good to get out into the fresh air after being stuck inside all winter. By far the earliest I have ever been able to get the bike out.
  15. My God I think I fell asleep and missed a couple months time. It's 66 degrees here in Michigan today. Is it June already or something???????
  16. He really has some just amazing music. I've downloaded about 20 songs by him in the past year and at least 15 of them are ones I listen to all the time. He's done a lot of work for some movie soundtracks in the past as well so you may have heard some of his stuff without ever knowing it was him at some point in time. If you get a chance look up some of his other songs on youtube such as Oltermare, Primavera and I Giorni. Those are all equally great songs he has done.
  17. Older I get the more mellow I get so sue me This actually has become my favorite song these days. IMO just beautiful music.
  18. Going to be using a pair of 6ft full spectrum LED fixtures for it. Should show fish colors really well and not kill the electric bill too much since they are LED.
  19. Took just a tick under 50hrs of carving but finally all the carving and texturing is thankfully done. Next step I get to look forward to is probably another 20 hours of dryloking/painting/sealing. Probably take a break from it for a few days at least though before starting that stage.
  20. Bit more progress for the night.
  21. You might be an aquarium/fish nerd when the answer to the question of "what are you doing tonight" is...."Oh not much, just building a stalactite/stalagmite for my tank"..lol
  22. That Police station is only about 10 miles from me. How those cops used so much self restraint is beyond me. If I was a cop in a station and two armed guys with tactical gear walked in I would have probably popped them on the spot. Those two idiots are lucky to be alive today.
  23. Another full day of work done on it today. Think I have around 30 or so hours of carving into the background so far. . .
  24. And the award for the two dumbest dickheads in the world goes to......... http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/2-armed-men-wearing-tactical-vests-arrested-upon-entering-dearborn-police-station
  25. I don't think that guy is gonna win the next point lol
