  1. Just got done watching "Nobody" I enjoyed it. Cool role to see Bob Odenkirk take on, he did a good job. Was a bit more over the top than I expected it was gonna be, but kind'a made it see more like an modern version of an 80's guy movie so that was actually pretty cool. Prob gonna see if Wrath of Man is down to $5.99 yet or not and if so watch that this weekend. Not sure if it is yet though.
  2. You buy the filament (basically the plastic is uses to print) on spools for about $20 a spool. Then you go on to a place online called "thingiverse". That is where there are a TON of .stl files. the .stl file is the file type that a 3d printer reads to get the info from as to what to print. Then you basically just run the file through a program called a slicer so that it slices the model into layers (I use Cura) and then its ready to print. You can see all the stuff here on thingiverse to print. Just type in something and check out what comes up Thingiverse - Digital Designs for Physical Objects WWW.THINGIVERSE.COM Download files and build them with your 3D printer, laser cutter, or CNC. Thingiverse is a universe of things.
  3. It's so sad to see the condition he's in these days, but at least he's still around and still keeps going. I think his portrayal of Jim Morrison in the movie "The Doors" to date was probably one of the best performances of any actor I have ever seen in my life.
  4. I want to see that but don't have Prime. Hopefully there will be some other way to watch it so I can see it. I feel the same about Pratt. He's probably one of my favorite actors now. Something about him just seems really genuine which makes him come through as someone that is probably a really nice guy. Kind'a the same as Patrick Swayze use to seem to me.
  5. I 3D printed a stand for the car to sit directly on so the tires don't get flat spots on them and to keep the pressure off the suspension. Then I put the lift where it slides right under. So doesn't work, but looks like it does.
  6. Got Wreckfest yesterday. Only played about an hour so far but LOVE It! Once I get an online PS membership again soon I'll let you guys know so I can join in on some gaming time when you guys do it.
  7. Something I have been working on for the past few weeks. May very well be the height of my clinical OCD lol. Have been 3D printing and painting everything for a scale garage scene for the Felony. Everything is 3D printed, then painted/detailed. Pictures on the walls are resized pictures I took up on Woodward over the years and trimmed down to scale size. Monster truck pics are an actual Rc truck I built years ago which I reprinted in a smaller size, even got my a poster for my custom fly rod business worked into there Was very time consuming and took a lot of hours but was quite a fun project.
  8. Yup real MPH. There's actually a guy in the UK that is building a car to hit 203mph because he's trying to break the world record of 202. Just insane stuff out there in the RC market these days. I will prob stick the speed gear in mine once just to hit 85 and see how it feels, but then go back to the 60mph gear. That's fast enough for me! lol
  9. Believe it or not there's actually some guys that are upping the lipo cell count and motors and hitting 160-170mph. Wayyyyyy too fast for my taste though. I'm sure 85 will be more than I care to hit with my 50 yr old eye sight lol
  10. Latest car I've been working on. Just finished airbrushing this body for it. This car is an Arrma Felony and will do about 85mph. I've never been a fan of stock factory painted bodies so figured I'd airbrush a new body for this one so it looks as fast as it is capable of going.
  11. Watched Boss Baby Family Business last night. No where near as cute as the first one IMO.
  12. techno I had never heard of Honest Thief before, just looked it up. I may have to give that a watch this weekend.
  13. Watched Liam Neeson's latest flick last night "The Ice Road"....will sum it up in one word, and that word is... Blah. Wasn't very good. CGI was really bad, seen better CGI from some guys on youtube videos. And while I'm not someone that usually points out unrealistic things in movies, there just were so many things in this one that happened which leave you saying "Oh come on now, give me a break". While I'm not a fan of Liam himself because of his views on things, I do however like him as an actor, but sadly I think he's headed down the other side of his career. His last two movies I have seen which were this one, and the one before this "Cold Pursuit" were real stinkers. Cold Pursuit had to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. While this one was not as bad as Cold Pursuit, it defiantly was no where near the level of some of his past movies by a long shot.
  14. Do you have/play Wreckfest Lee? I've been looking at some gameplay vids online lately of it and it looks like a blast. I see they have it on PS store for about $25 or so. Been thinking about maybe downloading it.
  15. Anyone else been watching the TV series War of the Worlds?(comes on EPIX) . I started watching it last year when it just started season one and enjoyed it quite a bit. I was a bit worried it would get stupid this season with the way they ended the first season, but thankfully I was wrong. So far the first 3 episodes of season 2 have actually been even better than season one. I really like the direction they are going with it.
  16. Yup I'm strictly C&R these days. I love the taste of fish and eat it almost weekly at least once/twice, but I don't like to kill them when I can just buy it at the store so I haven't kept one in probably 20 yrs now. That one is a redhorse river sucker, they are somewhat in the same family as carp. They are a bottom feeder but I got him on a fly I tie that I twitch across the bottom to imitate a crawfish so I get the suckers every once in a while that way.
  17. Yeah somewhat. The town is Mio which is a pretty small town about 3hrs North of here. There's about 100yards of shops and building right down town and that's pretty much it. The Motel is right at the one end of town not even 200 yards from the river so it's a great location. Weekends can get busy at the motel but through the week I usually have the whole place to myself.
  18. Just got back last week from 2 weeks all alone on the Au Sable fly fishing. It's by far my most enjoyable thing I love doing, I'd rather be on the water with fly rod in hand than doing anything else in life. Was a great time. Stayed at the same lil' motel I have been staying at for many years now. Spent the first few days on the lower river chasing smallmouth on the fly. Then went upstream and trout fished for about 11 days after that. Had some good fish rising and hatches so caught a few nice trout on dry flies. Spent the evenings when I wasn't fishing into the night back at the motel watching TV alone and relaxing. Was a very enjoyable time. Here's just a few of the many pics from the trip. Let me see if I remember how to insert pics here, hmmm lol..
  19. Last movie I watched was I re-watched "Stand By Me" the other day. Have seen it many times but just like Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and Goonies, it's one of those movies you just have to watch at least once or twice per year. What I am really wanting to see is that new Bob Odenkirk movie called "Nobody". The trailer for that looks awesome, but right now its still $20 to rent on my cable co On-demand. I think the dvd comes out on June 22nd so the price should drop to $6 after that and then I'll finally get to see that one.
  20. The above vid is one of my other 1/10 scale trucks I built a couple years ago called "King Nothing". After getting the giant 1/5 scale done a few months ago the 1/10 scale trucks has sat on the shelf so I decided to get one of them out today to get a bit muddy.
  21. Thanks bud. It is really a blast to drive. To be honest it gives you that bit sketchy feeling inside when you drive it because 50lbs going 30-35mph could cause some serious injury/damage if you're not careful 😎 I've actually had a few people ask me to build them ones since finishing it a few months ago but always have to turn them down. One thing is the amount of work/time was just crazy, but also the money I put into it. When I started building it I figured I'd have around $2500 or so into it, but by the time it was all said & done, I went about $1000 over that budget ðŸĪŠ Here's a quick vid of it testing out how it handles some jumps back in April. Took about 2 months to get all the bugs worked out of it, but now I have it running pretty good and all the little bugs are worked out.
  22. lol Dave I just posted a thread on the truck I built with a bunch of pics and couple vids for ya in the "other hobbies" section 😉 Thanks for the welcome back guys. Good to see so many of you guys I knew a few years back still here 🙂
