As I said, I come from console which was the base game and nothing else. So I bow to your experience and opinions on mods/plugins/textures etc. if 7.10 is the way to go then 7.10 it will be. I'm just here for the company really, I enjoyed the single player survivor mode, especially building up everything to have a secure base and farm etc. but eventually running around on your own gets boring.

Minecraft as a base game leans towards the fantasy anyway so my choice would be to stick to it. I presume mods have to be done server side but texture packs are done our end.

I just checked, month and year work - it is just week that doesn't TBH I don't think there is any rush to sort it out, it is just something I noticed.

The save all your money and do the stock market assisinations at the end of the game to earn billions? I thought it got removed but a quick google suggests people are still doing it.

Sorry, I was keeping things short as I was on my phone. Basically, I already know I could donate monthly to it so I had moved on to how much would I be willing to donate to it. That is where I ran in to a problem as, having no experience of this, I had no idea if a server is a few dollars a month or a few hundred dollars a month and that very much affected whether I would, or wouldn't, be willing to donate. I can appreciate that it varies depending on the number of players we want (though hopefully this should reasonably scale) and the mods we want to run. However if you're looking at a ballpark-ish figure of a few dollars a month each then that doesn't sound too bad. I have run servers for other games many years ago so know the problem of people promising to and not paying so I don't think it is unreasonable, at least initially, to ask for 3-6 months worth.

That is quite an aim! Is there any limits on the number of properties now? I know there used to be but they might have changed it. @Diddums i'll be about tonight if you want to give it another shot. Edit: I thought single player was good but since they removed the stock market mission glitch its much harder to get money.

@Sennex That totally makes sense and it shouldn't be any one persons responsibility to pay the cost. I suppose the first questions have to be, for those with more experience of this, who is a good host? and how much is a server?

Haha I would have loved to see their faces if you actually sent them that email Though their sizing, if accurate, does seem to be on smaller size as I have had to go up 1 size to what I normally wear.

My schedule is pretty hectic of the weekend as I'm away for my brothers wedding however, as we didn't actually play last night, I'm up for trying to organise it again.

It's the Pacific Standard job isn't it? Either way, yeah it was a laugh doing it and one we should try to get finished as it is a decent payout at the end. Just annoying that if, for any reason, you don't make it all the way on a bike it's a mission fail. I failed the last time as the car and parachute disappeared but it did occur to me after if I could have just driven the car down the mountain. Something to try next time.

The only question then; whats the wecomended amount dedotated wam I should have to server. On a serious note - on console you can visit other peoples worlds but they have to be online. I presume you can do the same on pc too but you're more talking about a 24/7 dedicated server? It would be good to have a 24/7 one though as it could be up for whoever whenever and either side of the pond.

I enjoyed playing minecraft on console but did miss the more social side of it. If there's a few of us then I could get it on pc and a server could be fun.

I know we have some road cyclist on here but do we have any that like the muddy stuff? I got in to it a few years ago through my brother in law, honestly I'm still not that good at it and mostly stick to more cross country riding the downhill. Luckily for me there is a big park near which while there isn't any specific trails there is always some fun routes through the trees. If that doesn't take my fancy then Cannock chase is only 30 minutes away where I can be found riding the red trail. For those who don't do biking or don't know Cannock, this is the trail I usually ride (this isn't me in the video though). More cross country switch backs to begin with and spend most of the first half climbing with the second half being more flowing downhill. It is especially fun after the campsite which is around 44 minutes in to this video. And this is my bike Nothing too special but it does me, it's mostly original but full spec is; Kona Lanaii 2011 Hardtail Race face seat post (bent the original - whoops) Mavic Crossride wheels Specialized Purgatory tyres Specialized seat I really need up change my brakes and chainset too as they are original and showing signs of wear but no idea whats parts yet. I'm not sure what you have watched but Netflix - the Marvel series, especially Daredevil, if you're in to those shows. The others are ok but DD is the best. On prime - Man in the High Castle is brilliant and Lucifer if you want something that's easier watching. As for films; Why him - Nope! Just don't even bother. Sully - I wasn't sure going in but well worth a watch. I didn't know about the stuff that went on after the crash but it was interesting to find out. Well directed and written and Tom Hanks plays the roll fantastically too.
