I don’t think the VGT is faster anyway, managed a 21 something with it as my best lap in 10 laps but got a 1:20.455 with the Peugeot on my second lap.

I doubt we'll get free tracks as the problem with new tracks is that the tracks are the one used in the Blancpain GT Series and the GT4 series uses the same tracks. So unless ACC gets licence for JGTC (for example) I doubt well see new tracks but then it'll be sold as a JGTC pack. But tbh they aren't taking the piss with the number of dlc packs and the prices have been good value so I'm more than happy to buy the dlc is this continues.

So the GT4 pack is £18 which I don’t think is bad for 11 new cars. Sadly no new tracks as the gt4 raced on the same tracks as the gt3 cars. I’ve been playing with it since release and it’s great fun. The cars are slower (obviously) but the racing is still as fun. I’ve yet to try multiclass racing but will try to find a server with it soon as I’d like to see how well it works.

I ended up having a crazy busy weekend so watched 2 last night. A little late but shhhhh still counts - Also spoilers duh! The second film definitely isn't as enjoyable as the first and I think this is down to 2 reasons; the time it takes to get going and lack of connection to Susan. In the first film, it has to set the scene of McCalls life, relations and routine and it does this well. Yet, in the first 20 minutes, the first film still manages to the introduce the pivotal moment of Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz) ended up in the ICU as the motivational moment for McCall to after the Russian gangsters. The second film though takes twice that for Susan to be killed which is where the film really starts. I appreciate it needed to introduce Miles (Ashton Sanders) as someone for McCall to protect as well as set up the revenge story arc but it didn't need 40 mins of it. To follow on from that, Teri and Miles serve the purpose of a younger character McCall feels the need to protect. In the short 20 minute build up of the first, they establish an odd but close friendship between the two; Teri asking and McCall opening up a little about his dead wife, Teri giving McCall her demo CD for his opinion. It quickly establishes a level of intamacy and trust between them. Teri gets beaten up leading to McCall to seek revenge on the Russian gangsters but also, in killing them, protecting Teri, and by extension the other girls, from it from happening again. With the second film however, Miles tries to fulfill that role but it doesn't work as well in my opinion. They never share those intimate moments that the first film does so well and it comes across as McCall protecting Miles simply because that's what McCall does and not because of any emotional reason. Which leads on the revenge part of the plot, the friendship between McCall and Susan is better defined than with Miles which helps prop up the revenge angle. Though where this falls down is it causes the second film to lack focus - the first is protect and revenge for Teri which allows McCalls actions to be cohesive and singular in their goal - everything he does is for Teri. The second though splits this to protecting Miles and revenge for Susan. This causes part of the film to only be about Miles (saving him from the gangsters) or Susan (originally going after his old team) - it isn't until the gunfight in the storm at the end of the film do these threads really come together. Films with twists can have multiple threads that only come together right at the end of a film. When done right (Shutter Island, Coherence etc.) the twist makes the first 90% of the film make more sense. Characters actions that may have been disjointed have more impact now you know why, the twist brings an order to the chaos. Maybe the second was going for the twist of it was his old crew all along but it was so obvious and predictable it just ended up being a cliche.

Neither am I, which I why I took the mazda originally as it handles similar to a race car. The Ferrari doesn’t and it’s braking zones are huge but it makes up for that in a straight line. Doesn’t take much does it 😛 Whoops, yup typo. Definitely 3 minute lap. I’ve edited my posted above.

You’re making me doubt if I had BoP on as I found the F40 so much faster so I would have thought in 4 laps you would be too. I’ll try and get some laps on tonight to double check.

To be honest, with GT Sport I tend to do 5-10 laps at most as I know that'll get me 90%+ to my best time. Over those laps I knock off seconds from my fastest lap but anymore and it becomes diminishing returns of only knocking a tenth off here and there. I could do another 100 laps and knock off a second but even I have my limits of how many laps I'll do in time trial 😄 Well that is until one of you gets close to my time then it's game on! AC is a different story but the skill for AC is higher so takes me more laps to hit that 90% time but even then it's maybe only 20 or so.

No worries dude, Phils easy as am I so we can make it 2 weeks. Gives Lee a chance to put some laps in too. This weeks AC combo is a tricky one. 2 fast cars on a really tight and twisty track. Using the Ferrari last night I only got out of 2nd gear on the straights. It’s also tricky as unlike most GT cars it doesn’t have ABS - so so many lock ups for me.

Well I can tell you in all absolute honesty that I'm totally certain that I most definitely wasn't using Ferrari F40.

Forget 16’s I’m on the hunt for 11’s now as managed a 3:12.429 .... and yes BoP was enabled 😉

A good look at the upcoming gt4 dlc for ACC. GT cars are my favourite racing class so I’ve been looking forward to this. The cars all sound unique and fun to drive. Plus the addition of multi-class racing with the GT3 bigger brothers is always a bonus.

I was using the Mazda Gr3 road car (or whatever it's called) as it's the only FR car I have. I've got a couple MR cars which I want to try but I'll be leaving you with the porsche as I don't get on with them.

Quickly smashed out 5 laps and got a 3:17.617. My best would be a 17.158 so I think a 16 is probably possible given a few more laps.

Bloody hell Phil, didn’t take you long to put some laps in. I will be doing aome laps later myself.

Another week, another combo 🙂 I'm wondering would people prefer if these were for 2 weeks instead of only 1? Round 4 GT Car: N500 Track: Circuit de Sainte-Croix - A AC Car 1: Ferrari 458 GT2 Car 2: McLaren P1 Track: Magione It's going to be an interesting one this round as rather unusually, I don't know either track. I've driven Sainte-Croix before but watching a video of a lap, I don't remember it and don't think I've ever done a lap of Magione.

After playing a couple hours of this over the weekend, I agree with you mate. There’s things missing like a map (even if you have to craft it) or a co-ordinate system. I’d like to see some basic instructions too - I don’t need it spoonfed to me but some info on how to progress other than randomly finding things. Also storage - basically there isn’t any. The bots you build can hold a small amount of the things they need but any excess bits basically just have to be put on the floor or whever you gave space. Still having watched some videos on it, there is more to find out in the world. I’m not sure there’s enough currently to keep me playing for a long time. Minecraft has bosses, 7d2d has hordes etc. this currently doesn’t (as far a I know). There are harder robots but they’re not bosses. It’s early access though so I’m sure things will improve and I love the look of the game. The basic mechanics are great too and I am looking forward to trying to configure things in different ways to build all the different machines.
