  1. North East London in the Master League are a damn sight better than their real-life counterparts right now. 20 hours in I have to say it's a really enjoyable footie game to play, though I've not tried the online experience yet. Might give that a go this weekend.
  2. Aston Martins are lovely looking cars, what are they like to drive?
  3. I had a quick wander round last night, made it over to Green Mountain but yeah I noticed too the lack of ammo and only certain rifles seems to spawn too. May simply have been the server.
  4. With the misinformation around about SSDs this kind of article is excellent. I always have that feeling in the back of my head I'm using CCLeaner too much or too often installing and uninstalling games. So I think I can relax a little now, cheers for posting.
  5. A book I first read as a student in the 90s. My mate Chris did his final year dissertation on Noam Chomsky, it was the first I had ever heard of him. Blew me away. I've read a lot his work since. Check out: http://www.chomsky.info/ He backs up everything he says, often directly quoting the media itself. His political analyses to this day stand up to the most intense scrutiny. Often his critics resort to personal and/or crass jibes. The left wing press are condescending to him funnily enough while the right wing press (see the Financial Times) show begrudging respect. Thought I'd share with you, he's pretty damned old now but if you check out YouTube he's still a destroyer of ill-informed interviewers. There's a video version of Manufacturing Consent on YouTube too. It's kind of dated now but the issues are still relevant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO51ahW9JlE
  6. Yep, my search for a tent is never ending, I hear they spawn in the high rise buildings in Dubky so I'm headed there tonight
  7. Nice one James, I hadn't noticed, I've been trying out the experimental servers recently but couldn't get near a vehicle.
  8. lol at this thread, the cynicism is palpable. I was going to ask if it's likely to involve climbing towers to liberate areas of map, just cause Ubisoft follows the usual AAA mantra of "if it isn't broken (translate to: if it still generates a shitload of cash) then don't fix it."
  9. So what we saying then, Spectre hacked Sony? I'm confused. Sorry, crap joke to get us back on topic Cyber crime and espionage is pretty damn scary, I hope my free Avast security is up to the job It does play tic tac toe (naughts and crosses) pretty well
  10. Has a full installer, it's about 23gb on my hard drive.
  11. It's really hard to know where to begin when talking about this game, the least I can do is clear up a few issues. I heard about it over a year ago, I think it was being talked about on the DayZ forums and then FrankieonPC made a video on it. I bought into it around Feb/March and paid about £20 to fund the game. For that I got a ship, a hangar and in-game credits. I don't have to pay a single penny of my own money anymore. You can fund the game further by buying bigger or better ships but there's no need, when you earn money in-game they're all there to buy. I think it's going to be a couple of years before the game is finished and so far what is playable is: The hangar. I can walk around, change clothes, put on a helmet, inspect and enter my ship. Arena Commander. I can fly my ship in two different settings. I can engage in simulated combat against other ships. The next stages of development will see introduction of first person shooting, single player campaign (Squadron 42) and the holy of holies: A PERSISTENT universerse made up of other players. One word of caution, I have a damn good set up and I'm already struggling to maintain 60 FPS even in the hangar. The game is glitchy and in need of optimisation but I have really high hopes for it. The updates are not just regular, they bloody relentess and there's so much lore and information to digest. For $30 I'd take a punt and be part of something pretty cool, well, I did so there you go. If they get anywhere near their lofty ambitions this is going to be a corker of a game.
  12. What I wish is that they do an adult version and a kiddy version, some of the tacky wacky alien stuff from the last bunch was too much for me. Should do a Forever Gaming meet up to watch this when it comes out though, the trailer is class. And, cheers Rich!
  13. Tempting, very tempting but I'm expecting better things this weekend, maybe my cheapskate wish for DarkSouls 2 on sale will come true. Rocking the Hyacinth motif by the way, quality
  14. I had a go last night and took a trip up to the NW airfield (like old times lol). I think I was on a weird server as loot was stacked upon loot everywhere, could have kitted out a small army. Vehicles are great and when they're fully implemented they'll be very useful, though more for hearing when trouble is approaching, as in life I prefer to cycle. I believe there's supposed to be persistence already but I won't know until I find a tent and test it out. I'm a hoarder.
  15. I've had both Arkham GOTY games from a steam sale sitting in my library unplayed for ages, from what I read above I think it's time to play them. Enthusiasm is infectious and I'm easily led. One question: KB&M or xbox controller?
  16. I've not really played much DayZ standalone since early on, prefer to wait until it's in better shape. According to an announcement today they're finally adding vehicles. In the experimental servers first, and pretty rudimentary but this is a positive step in the right direction. Now I wantz the heliz too. http://steamcommunity.com/games/221100#announcements/detail/145568104466458813
  17. James, unfortunately on this one I have the proverbial hype cock poking every orifice. I played the fuck out of it on Xbox360 but sold my copy the moment I heard of of a PC version. I just worry that they have a very poor history with PC versions of the game.
  18. I've no problem with anyone mate, not much point in that, half the people in London think the same as you, even the immigrants. I come from an immigrant family, my folks are Irish, so immigration has always been an important topic for me. I have watched too many people over the years look for easy solutions and scapegoats to difficult questions. So I always challenge certain points of view. I don't think there's any need for some of what was just said there. You may confuse arrogance with passion possibly. I certainly don't know it all. I'm very ignorant about too many things. But anyway, don't worry about it, I may 'ruin websites' but don't let me ruin your day.
  19. One goal of NAFTA was to "lock Mexico in" to the so-called reforms of the 1980s, which created billionaires at about the same rate as they enhanced poverty. These "reforms" are the great benefit to the US owners, managers, and investors, though not to working people. NAFTA was one of those rare treaties that managed to harm the working populations in all countries participating: Canada, the US, and Mexico. The US labour movement had proposed alternatives that would have benefitted the workforce in all 3 countries. Similar proposals were developed by Congress's Office of Technology Assessment (since disbanded). The proposals were never entered to the political agenda, and were even barred from the media. The attraction of NAFTA for North American elites, the business press reported, was "precisely that it would tie the hands of the current future governments" of Mexico with regard to the economic policy. In brief, NAFTA, duly imposed by executive power, in opposition to the public will. Does this help? Plus the following was written 20 years ago and is the tip of the iceberg. I've plenty more 'back up', 20 years worth in fact. http://www.chomsky.info/books/secrets03.htm The thing about sticking your head in the ground, it leaves your arse exposed to the world. But yeah, blame illegal immigrants (and China now) instead of looking at American domestic and foreign policy. South America in general is in a pretty poor state thanks to your government's involvement since the 50s. US involvement in that whole part of the world has been nothing but pure evil. They didn't need your help, as you so rightly state, but you've never stopped 'helping', have you.
  20. Well, that's okay then, thanks for educating me. When I said 'psychopaths' I was referring to world governments not individual criminals. But I suppose someone has to profit from war and death and pity Colt can't seem to find the right one. My original post was unnecessary and facile, no matter what I might believe, I just find it weak to blame poor people for the problems of the world's biggest economy. Particularly as many 'illegal' immigrants (what a fucking expression) come from countries impoverished by the US war economy. NAFTA, for example, has pretty much destroyed the Mexican economy. You reap what you sow, and all that. I'm being out of order probably so just tell me to fuck off, I have to let these things out sometimes. I'm a very frustrated man
  21. Amen to that. I played FC3 on Xbox360 and I've recently bought it for PC for peanuts. I'm playing it through again on PC and loving it, FC4 I'll probably wait for a sale too. Mind you, I've been waiting for a Dark Souls 2 sale and not a peep so far.
  22. Ha! This made my week. Hype cock never goes limp but I think we all agree that we need to try a bit of celicaby on that score. Hype cock, hype cock. I'm going to use that turn of phrase is as many situations as I can this week. Quality
  23. Yeah, I like TB, he's waded into the gamergate debacle too with a pretty common sense approach and I have massive amounts of respect for the fella. Particularly how he handled getting bowel cancer, he didn't man-up, he superman 'd-up.
