  1. I had a go last night and took a trip up to the NW airfield (like old times lol). I think I was on a weird server as loot was stacked upon loot everywhere, could have kitted out a small army. Vehicles are great and when they're fully implemented they'll be very useful, though more for hearing when trouble is approaching, as in life I prefer to cycle. I believe there's supposed to be persistence already but I won't know until I find a tent and test it out. I'm a hoarder.
  2. I've had both Arkham GOTY games from a steam sale sitting in my library unplayed for ages, from what I read above I think it's time to play them. Enthusiasm is infectious and I'm easily led. One question: KB&M or xbox controller?
  3. I've not really played much DayZ standalone since early on, prefer to wait until it's in better shape. According to an announcement today they're finally adding vehicles. In the experimental servers first, and pretty rudimentary but this is a positive step in the right direction. Now I wantz the heliz too. http://steamcommunity.com/games/221100#announcements/detail/145568104466458813
  4. James, unfortunately on this one I have the proverbial hype cock poking every orifice. I played the fuck out of it on Xbox360 but sold my copy the moment I heard of of a PC version. I just worry that they have a very poor history with PC versions of the game.
  5. I've no problem with anyone mate, not much point in that, half the people in London think the same as you, even the immigrants. I come from an immigrant family, my folks are Irish, so immigration has always been an important topic for me. I have watched too many people over the years look for easy solutions and scapegoats to difficult questions. So I always challenge certain points of view. I don't think there's any need for some of what was just said there. You may confuse arrogance with passion possibly. I certainly don't know it all. I'm very ignorant about too many things. But anyway, don't worry about it, I may 'ruin websites' but don't let me ruin your day.
  6. One goal of NAFTA was to "lock Mexico in" to the so-called reforms of the 1980s, which created billionaires at about the same rate as they enhanced poverty. These "reforms" are the great benefit to the US owners, managers, and investors, though not to working people. NAFTA was one of those rare treaties that managed to harm the working populations in all countries participating: Canada, the US, and Mexico. The US labour movement had proposed alternatives that would have benefitted the workforce in all 3 countries. Similar proposals were developed by Congress's Office of Technology Assessment (since disbanded). The proposals were never entered to the political agenda, and were even barred from the media. The attraction of NAFTA for North American elites, the business press reported, was "precisely that it would tie the hands of the current future governments" of Mexico with regard to the economic policy. In brief, NAFTA, duly imposed by executive power, in opposition to the public will. Does this help? Plus the following was written 20 years ago and is the tip of the iceberg. I've plenty more 'back up', 20 years worth in fact. http://www.chomsky.info/books/secrets03.htm The thing about sticking your head in the ground, it leaves your arse exposed to the world. But yeah, blame illegal immigrants (and China now) instead of looking at American domestic and foreign policy. South America in general is in a pretty poor state thanks to your government's involvement since the 50s. US involvement in that whole part of the world has been nothing but pure evil. They didn't need your help, as you so rightly state, but you've never stopped 'helping', have you.
  7. Well, that's okay then, thanks for educating me. When I said 'psychopaths' I was referring to world governments not individual criminals. But I suppose someone has to profit from war and death and pity Colt can't seem to find the right one. My original post was unnecessary and facile, no matter what I might believe, I just find it weak to blame poor people for the problems of the world's biggest economy. Particularly as many 'illegal' immigrants (what a fucking expression) come from countries impoverished by the US war economy. NAFTA, for example, has pretty much destroyed the Mexican economy. You reap what you sow, and all that. I'm being out of order probably so just tell me to fuck off, I have to let these things out sometimes. I'm a very frustrated man
  8. Amen to that. I played FC3 on Xbox360 and I've recently bought it for PC for peanuts. I'm playing it through again on PC and loving it, FC4 I'll probably wait for a sale too. Mind you, I've been waiting for a Dark Souls 2 sale and not a peep so far.
  9. Ha! This made my week. Hype cock never goes limp but I think we all agree that we need to try a bit of celicaby on that score. Hype cock, hype cock. I'm going to use that turn of phrase is as many situations as I can this week. Quality
  10. Yeah, I like TB, he's waded into the gamergate debacle too with a pretty common sense approach and I have massive amounts of respect for the fella. Particularly how he handled getting bowel cancer, he didn't man-up, he superman 'd-up.
  11. As in murdering and decimating the indigenous American population? And you're the one who doesn't like illegal immigrants Were Colt on the bandwagon of arming the psychopaths of the world with weapons like all the other arms manufacturers? We're all reaping the benefits of that. I'm sarcastic today. Don't take it personally.
  12. Don't forget Watch Dogs. Grrr. Ubisoft released a slew of games this year and none of them work properly. I follow Total Biscuit on youtube and he's got a pretty good take on these things, form a consumer point of view. Recommended.
  13. I paid my dues to the almighty Steam on this occasion
  14. I bought the full game after twenty minutes of playing the demo, I really like it. Needs some optimisation (no video/display/graphic options and I can't get it to fullscreen*) but the gameplay is quality. *I found the settings for display via steam local files, silly me
  15. A demo has now become available on Steam so it looks like I get my 'try before you buy' after all The demo on xbox360 came out months ago and I wasn't that impressed so I'll feedback after I've had a few goes.
  16. I have to take my hat off to the guys working on this project and I love their enthusiasm and love of what they do. Inspiring
  17. From what I read around the old interwebz we have bit of a return to form. The presentation isn't the best (nothing new there) but the gameplay is apparently superior to FIFA. It's a shame they don't release a demo version on PC like EA do with FIFA. I've added it to my wishlist http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/pro-evolution-soccer-2015
  18. I'm not a fan of UPLAY so I was annoyed when I heard this. It would actually stop me buying the game to be honest. I have Watch Dogs on UPLAY so let's leave it at that.
  19. That made me laugh, thought it was just me!
  20. I suppose it had to happen at some point. It's come a long way since the top down days of running over hari krishnas
  21. I try and only use my xbox controller on the PC for driving games (and footie, impossible to play FIFA with KB+M), I've been trying to avoid the controller on FPS. However, the mouse aim is a bit weird in BO2 (possibly acceleration?) so I'm thinking of using the xbox controller. Getting the adapter to use the xbox controller on PC was not sometinhg I ever expected to do but it's useful sometimes. I'll probably use it when GTAV comes out on PC. I'm rambling and getting wayyyyyy off topic, sorry I'll watch out for a free weekend Advanced Warfare on Steam, try before you buy and all that
  22. Think I will always love the old xbox 360, I almost said 'trusty' but to be fair I've needed three
  23. I'm used to playing COD on the Xbox but I've been practicing with MW2 and BO2 on the PC. I'll probably wait til I find it a bit cheaper
  24. For those who have played both I'd be interested in any comparisons with Titanfall. Is AW the same game just without Titans?
  25. I've had only sporadic internet access at home lately due to incompetent engineers. Waiting on Open Reach is pretty frustrating. I've just logged into steam after nearly a week away and the Evolve alpha has mysteriously appeared in my Steam library. I don't remember any episodes of drunk impulse buying/pre-ordering Downloading anyway
