    Played the intro round and then a proper one, managed to not die. Runs well on my 1080ti, I'm getting 110 fps on medium settings which is just insane. Finally a new game that has proper optimisation for older cards 🥳

    You have a choice of either the Battlestate Games servers or your own server. I do my own as its a lot quicker loading into the maps. I'd love someone to join me. Its very hardcore but once you know what you're doing its pretty straightforward. There's 5 traders who offer you missions and tasks and I follow these to rank up and get better gear : )

    I really need to jump on this properly at some point. Too much Tarkov and now Arc Raiders will likely take my time. But yeah maps will make or break a game as far as I'm concerned and I've seen nothing so far that competes with those of the earlier games. BF3 and BF4 are still the peak maps wise. Base jumping into a map like in BF3 needs a come back 🤪

    I don't normally go for 3rd person games but I'll be all over this, I pre-installed it tonight and it might finally be the game to give Tarkov a bit of competition. It also runs well on old GPUs which is great for me. Doesn't really have missions, just daily tasks and achievements as far as I'm aware.

    Ha ha no sitting in bushes or corners, I just use top tier armour and headshots. Level 37 now and over 300 raids with about same kd. This year this game hit my all time top 5 favourite games of all time since I embraced doing all the tasks. Game comes out of early access on 15 November so I have until then before the final wipe 🙂

    I don't watch enough TV to justify a subscription, so I don't subscribe any more, I used to do Netflix, Amazon, Disney and NowTV. I may do Disney Plus just for a month at some point over the winter just to binge watch the Alien series and possibly Andor. Plus Amazon for the next instalment of Fallout. BBC iPlayer stays as i do pay the licence fee lol. Anyway, I've a mate who pirates everything and he'll download stuff for me if I ask him to, i'm too lazy 🫠 Music-wise I'm probably going to drop Spotify, I get most music from YouTube lately, plus i found out recently the Spotify CEO Daniel Ek invests heavily in military AI and don't really want to support that kind of shit behaviour. Game-wise I'll stick with GamePass until the fee goes up, as I do use it but won't really miss it if I stop.

    I miss the DayZ mod, it's the game that convinced me to buy a PC. Still superior to the current game in a lot of ways IMO

    Should not have named it Bloodlines 2, it's clearly not an RPG. And Cohh's thoughts below seem to express what many others feel. Such a shame 🫠 It does look fun in its own way but it's a sale buy for me...maybe next summer's Steam sale.

    Frankie back on DayZ. Not been on for a while myself so I finally shut down the private server. Might jump on again over the winter months and see if there's any community servers. The one featured here is very heavily modded

    Yeah I'll be picking this up, it played decent on PC for me in the first playtest so I think that's where I'll go for it. Tough game and yeah, although its 3rd person it reminds one a lot of Tarkov as it's essentially an extraction shooter.

    Its not an RPG, its an action adventure game. There's a limited skill tree and opportunity to make decisions which all lead to the same place and have no effect on any outcomes in the story. If that's an RPG in your world I'm sure youll enjoy, but yes the combat is supposed to be decent true enough.

    So, this,game finally drops on 30 October, there was a playtest this weekend but I missed it. For certain this will be my next purchase, just have to decide whether its PC or PS5

    Yep, totally agree. I have read that the previous team working on it had been making it more like the original but when the Chinese Room devs took it over they got rid of all that simply so they could put their own mark on it. What a shame.

    I've watched several reviews now and sadly this has gone from a day one purchase to maybe when deeply discounted in a sale, which is a shame. Seems its more an action adventure than a RPG. What a pity. At least my modded standalone version of the original is still playable. Modern RPG-wise I may finally pick up Dragons Dogma 2 but will see.
