  1. Ok, I just had a closer look at the CPU stuff. How important is battery life? If it's important, the i7 is better. The AMD will chew power faster, but the GPU is a bit faster. In fact, given that you're a gamer (I'm just jumping to this conclusion now), take a look here: Pavilion Envy The TL;DR is that they're both shit, it's just a case of choosing which is less shit. AMD's offering is slightly better, but Mantle will also make it better in the long run. For reference, I can cruise around SW on a busy server with medium settings at 30FPS ish on my wife's laptop, which is an HD4000. That's significantly slower than the 4600 so if you're playing WoW, you're good to go!
  2. WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. A few things girl. First off, unless you do any video editing the 12gb of the Envy will be completely wasted. For example, my wife's PC RAM recently died so I ordered a new set, but in the mean time I took 4gb from my 8gb and put it in her system. I'm still using 4gb now and I can run BF4 on the highest possible settings as well as any other game I play (you're a WoW player, no? I just bought MoP the other day). The reason RAM is sold by the bucketload nowadays is because DDR4 is around the corner (June, to be exact) and these companies know it, so they're basically using all their stock to shift laptops, and because some people are still of the mindset that more RAM = faster PC (seriously folks, the 90s were ages ago). Secondly, Windows 8.1 takes a bit of getting used to if you're not familiar with it. The touch screen might be a gimmick here but it'll help you familiarise yourself with the new operating system and it'll get a damn site more use than the other 6gb of RAM which you'd be "missing out on" (not really). And last but not least, that Radeon 8550G trades blows with the Intel 4600. The selling point here is that the Radeon is made by AMD, the same company working on Mantle, which will improve the performance over time, whereas the Intel is a case of what-you-get-is-what-you-get. For me, the Pavilion is a clear winner. If it's for gaming, then it's a no brainer really.
  4. Tbh I wouldn't bother. Never played it myself but I'm just tired of cod in general. I'd say fire up some of the old ones and see how you feel. If you enjoy it, might be worth it. If not, then I doubt Ghosts will bring anything new to the table.
  5. I don't know who you are any more man.
  6. Yep, they stack.
  7. Pretty sure it works dude
  8. Teach you for being a jet bitch.
  9. If you want a pony thread, make one. I'll admin it myself. We all have our own shit that others don't like, and if they don't like it, they don't have to read it. Simple as that. As for your issues with Sennex, I'd appreciate it if you could settle that in PMs or elsewhere. Cheers.
  10. That's just as well you mentioned that, as that's exactly what I was going to do. I even started the first few lessons. Damn, might have to buy one of those "book" things now.
  11. I know right, that's exactly what I said!
  12. It's fixxored thanks to Sennex. ALL HAIL SENNEX!!!!!!!!
  13. So naturally I've been smashing heads with this bloody software for ages, when Sennex come sswooping in, waves a magic wand and fixes it in a matter of minutes. Sennex, the legend. Cheers dude.
  14. Please welcome our new evil overlord Sennex. He is now an admin as well, as he's a legend when it comes to the more technical stuff and deserves a wizard hat.
  15. Codecadamy. Seriously, Google it. Excellent site and free.
  16. Cheers guys, really looking forward to this. James do you play bf4 on ps4?
  17. Yep, having some issues at the moment. Working on it. Bear with me please.
  18. You're not bad looking at all. You can do much better than that dude though.
  19. In case some of you hadn't twigged yet, this obviously hasn't happened due to work being a PITA and family shit. I'll get on it tonight hopefully.

    PayDay 2

MEMEME! I've got it, and I'm blissfully shit at it. I've got Fri, Sat and Sun off if you want to get a few heists in.
  21. Have you seen some of the other vids? Their guradian angels must really, really hate them.
  22. Just a heads up, tomorrow I will be carrying out some maintenance. I can't give you an exact time as it depends on how work pans out, but I'll try keep disruption to a minimum. Cheerio!
  23. I find the difference to be humour. Cod moaners are always meaning. Bf4 moaners will moan, but also be able to have a laugh. This is a sweeping statement, ymmv.
  24. Hey welcome mate, glad you dropped in. Looks like we play mostly the same games, add me if you like Diddums84 on both Steam and Origin. Cheers!
  25. Cheers guys. I was seriously pissed off when I wrote that, so allow me to clear up any misconceptions: Yes, my wife has cancer. She's had it ever since she was about 12, and it was treated. It's benign, although she goes for checkups regularly. It's not affecting her at this point. What pissed me off is that I've got an uncle who has it seriously bad now. I'm not too keen on him so it doesn't bother me as much, but it is in the family. My mother's just been cured, so it's in the family too. Now my father's got it, and that's also in the family. What added to that was all the other family, direct or married-in, which also have it. It just seems to be that everywhere I look, someone's getting cancer. That's what pissed me off. That said, I have a very strong history with my father (bad, not good), and he has never been a part of my life. Literally a few days after my 30th, I get a call from my half sister. He's marrying his girlfriend before he goes and he wants me at his wedding. Now I don't even know if this is what he wants. My sister has this thing where she wants a perfect family, and she sounded like she had a few drinks, so I don't really know what to make of it. I shouldn't be put in this position. That's what's pissing me off.
