  1. Someone buy me the game and I'll record it
  2. Sweet baby jebus
  3. Hahaha, excellent! Of course I wouldn't be me if I didn't turn any mention of Taylor Swift into a spaff fest though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlpBO3L6UJo
  4. Send him to Cape Town. If he survives, he'll be a very respectable citizen. His arsehole will go "poof" when he farts though.
  5. Of course Lee, I'd appreciate if you could post as much as you want.
  6. Sam, provided the plugs all plugged in without forcing them, it'll be fine. It won't go bang, it won't go pop, fizz or catch fire. You'll be looking for a screen that tells you you have no operating system installed. If you don't see that, report back and we'll take it from there.
  7. Might buy this next payday, still licking my wounds from Xmas. I fucking hate being broke.
  8. A bit like the emulators I've had for years. You know, the Wii one, the SNES, Gameboy, PS2, PS1, Xbox, Dreamcast, etc etc. All silliness aside, I'll be intrigued to see how much games will go for.
  9. Thread's gone. Palle will bring it up again if he wishes.
  10. Nothing wrong with low hanging fruit!
  11. It's all very interesting all of this, and today has been very interesting to say the least. Basically, there was a hearing in New York which is split into 5 segments, each tackling a different aspect of "what now?". The only one I heard so far is the point of view from the coin's backers and supporters. Tomorrow there is another segment (panel) which will be a law enforcement perspective and a retail perspective, which will be attended by Overstock, the first large company to accept Bitcoin (and took $130k worth of Bitcoin sales in the first 24h). The general consensus I got from the state (I know the coin's stance, I was interested in what the gov had to say) wasn't "make it worth my while" but rather "ok, this is all cool, but how are we going to make it work?" It's all quite exciting really. The archive is a two hour long video, but for those who are interested, it can be found here: http://www.totalwebcasting.com/view/?id=nysdfs
  12. I'll see if there's a plug in I can implement to show platform and favourite games. Excellent work here Mike!
  13. Cheers dudes. I actually downloaded the latest release, which has all the options in the launcher. I simply selected Tekkit Classic and voila, works a treat. I'm just a bit miffed at this new resource pack nonsense. There was nothing wrong with tex packs, why change it? I need to find a pack that'll work well with Tekkit.
  14. I've just had my first payout from Adsense, a shade over £60 which has taken almost 4 months to accumulate. This covers the cost of the site for the next few months, so donations at this point are simply going in to the pot for game giveaways, competitions or a rainy day. Just wanted to share that with you guys, thanks for making this place as awesome as it is!
  15. I don't care what anyone says, Melissa Rauch is one very, very fine piece of ass.
  16. Turn the laptop off completely by holding the power button down for a few seconds. Turn it on again and keep tapping F8. You might need to hold down the FN key when you do this. It should present you with a boot menu, when it does, select safe mode. Boot up, and shut down properly, and try booting up as normal.
  17. I've decided to purchase another copy of MC, and I'd like to play Tekkit again. As far as I'm aware, support stopped ages ago so I'd be looking at FTB, but is it possible to play with a pack similar to Tekkit? I'd like to come as close to Tekkit as possible, but I'm not bothered about EE. Obviously if there are any other goodies that compliment the pack well, that'd be great too. I'm mainly looking for the Indusctrialcraft, Railcraft, the pipes and motors one, basically all the technical stuff. I'm not bothered about magic. Any ideas? I'll also host a server here on my home PC in all likeliness which will support a few players but not many, 5 or so tops. Just throwing that out there but obviously I need to set it all up and test and stuff.
  18. Giving up is not an option. I use social media as little as possible. I do other little things to throw them off. It's not lifestyle changing stuff, merely simple little things like paying for as much possible with cash. I accept that it's happening and although I can't fight it, I'm not going to make it easy.
  19. Fair enough. Just for the record, I support your cause 100%, the NSA is taking the pass and there's nothing we can do about it. They seem to operate outside of the law, and the us government just sits there and let's it happen. The NSA have been caught so many times with their pants down and they seem to think it's all just a big joke and we're just here for their entertainment. It would be tragic if someone were to raze the place.
  20. Yep. Too many people seem to think that TOR is this top secret, impenetrable network when it's not at all. Basically your pc connects to a node which shreds all your data and sends it in tiny little packages to the node you want to connect to, but sends them via different servers all over the world. Sounds great, right? Well, the way the system chops up your data is random. It doesn't recognise text, names, email addresses, etc etc. It lays your data on a block and chops it up. If your email address happens to be between two cuts, it's sent across the network as is and can be easily decrypted. TOR is awesome if you don't mind going back to dial up speeds and know how to use it, but too many people think that because they use it they're invulnerable. Just because the NSA can't decrypt everything, doesn't mean that they're not there. They're there alright, and the second they pick up anything about you on the network, you're on the grid. Even more so than the regular net because so many people on TOR are hiding shit.
  21. That's a rabbit hole I really can't be bothered going down. This software has all sorts of anti-DDOS protocols implemented which would have to be circumvented as you're signing in from weird IPs from all over the world that the site isn't familiar with. Another aspect is that if the site suspects dodgy connections, it terminates them. TOR is often too slow to function like a normal internet service so the site sees it as a potential security risk and shuts down the connection. I also hope you're not typing in any passwords over TOR. That's very, very risky. There's more NSA monitoring TOR traffic than regular internet traffic, and if they pick up a password or email address that's not encrypted (happens all the time) then you can bet your last dollar you'll have eyes all over your emails.
  22. Right, I've done some research and homework. First off, I'm looking into organizing something that's totally independent from the marathon, an event which people can attend and maybe have competitions, bring along some of the guys the charity support and have a good time for all of us. I approached my forum representative within BT (not internet forum, an actual forum) and she sounded positive about the idea and mentioned that it fits in perfectly with the BT brand. Provided that BT is willing to help us out with a venue, I'd then start looking at getting sponsored by companies like Monster, Relentless, Red Bull, maybe approach some companies for catering, speak to the likes of GAME, Scan, Overclockers, etc etc, maybe get some PCs lent to us, consoles, whatever we can get to turn this into an awesome event for these guys and hopefully raise as much cash as possible. My wife and I will organize everything once we've got a go-ahead from BT, she'd be great for this what with her outstanding management skills, so I'm feeling quite confident that we will in some way or another manage to organize an excellent day out. I'll also be exploring options to accept virtual currencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin and perhaps most importantly Dogecoin, the following of which recently gained press coverage worldwide by helping raise $30k to send the Jamaican bobsled team to the Winter Olympics. In short I'm exploring every avenue possible and will be reaching out to many companies to help us get this off the ground. If anyone has any other ideas please drop them in this thread and let's turn this idea into an awesome day of fundraising and awareness for those less fortunate than ourselves, so that they may enjoy the games we all take for granted. Thanks for reading, and as always, stay classy FG!
  23. Not sure how that happened either, bit odd. Did it copy and paste the post? If not it's nothing to worry about, you need to be a verified member to see the PPRs.
