  1. Bahahaha, how does your foot taste EA? I doubt they'll learn from this either.
  2. A TEENAGER has been left fuming after mistakenly buying a photo of an in-demand computer console online. Peter Clatworthy thought he had paid £450 for an XBox One console on eBay, but actually received a picture of one in the post. The 19-year-old student, of Bilborough, had saved up in order to buy a limited edition Day One version of the console as a surprise Christmas present for his four-year-old son, McKenzie. He has now contested the purchase with eBay, which has investigated and stated he should get a full refund from the seller. Mr Clatworthy said: "I've had to make a joke out of it because I was that angry. At least we've now got something to laugh about in the years to come. "I always buy stuff on eBay and this had never happened before." Mr Clatworthy made the purchase on November 28, paying £450 plus £8 packaging. Despite the listing stating it was a photo of an XBox One Day One edition console, Mr Clatworthy said he'd expected to receive the console as it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay. He said: "It said 'photo' and I was in two minds, but I looked at the description and the fact it was in the right category made me think it was genuine. "I looked at the seller's feedback and there was nothing negative. I bought it there and then because I thought it was a good deal. "It's obvious now I've been conned out of my money." Mr Clatworthy received the photo in the post on Monday, saying: "They'd written on the back of it 'thank you for your purchase'. I was fuming." The XBox One was released in the UK on November 22, with a special Day One edition reserved for those who picked the machine up on its first day of sale. Since then, there have been reports of people buying empty XBox One packaging via eBay, and paying hundreds of pounds for the privilege. When the Post searched for 'XBox One Day One edition consoles' on the website yesterday, a number of genuine consoles were up for sale. There was, however, one lot of 'XBox One Day One edition retail packaging' which received 80 bids and sold for £7,200. Mr Clatworthy was informed by eBay yesterday that, as he paid via PayPal, he can expect to receive a full refund from the seller, who has until Monday to pay up. A spokesman for eBay, the online marketplace, said: "We don't allow listings which mislead, and will take action against this seller. "Customers can shop with confidence on eBay as we guarantee you will get your item or your money back. Mr Clatworthy is covered by the eBay money-back guarantee and we will be contacting him to put things right." Tessa Coates, Trading Standards Officer at Notts County Council, said: "We are not aware of an eBay scam of this nature. "However, we would encourage all eBay buyers to pay for their goods using PayPal to give them extra protection. "PayPal states that if the item doesn't match the seller's description or gets lost in the post then it will give the buyer their money back." She added: "Our main tips for buying online generally this Christmas is make sure you're getting a good deal, know who you're dealing with and protect your personal and financial information." Sauce Funnily enough, these are still being sold. It's such a blatant scam. I'd usually call him an idiot for falling for this, but having been myself by shit like this, it just pisses me off that this even exists.
  3. I just got home and noticed a bottle of rum standing on the fridge. I wondered where it came from, then remembered that Phil bought it. Phil, you'll have to come and get it mate
  4. oh no, not rich, we blew the hot food thing out that water. I grabbed my hottest sauce and literally covered some snacks in it, and Rich just gobled it up. I'm not sure if it's because his taste buds were numb from the booze or if his missus gave his balsl back for the night, but he managed to eat all the spicy goodness we gave him. And trust me, I didn't hold back.
  5. Hahaha! yeah t'was a great night, definitely need to do that again!
  6. It's fucking ridiculous how much more we pay for PC components than our Merkin' brethren. Here's a fucking awesome build I stuck together in literally 5 minutes. It's got a haswell i5, 8gb RAM, a 7870 GPU and an SSD. For this price, it's simply pissing me off that we'd pay almost the same numbers, but in pounds. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2eY9b You can leave out the SSD and go for a better GPU, but to be honest this one should be fine. I've also included 1tb of storage which should be enough for your video editing needs, and it;s a damn fast HDD too. An SSD will change the way you look at computing, You could go for an AMD build and save about 50-100 bucks, but given you're not a hobbyist and this is to last you a while, just stick the best you can afford in there and be done with it. This is also assuming that you have an OS, if you don't, let me know and we'll have to tweak it a bit. ALTERNATIVELY: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2eYuh This is an AMD build. The CPU has two more cores which will speed up your rendering a bit, and it's also got double the RAM at 16gb. It's also got a considerably more powerful graphics card which is excellent for gaming, and as far as the 760s go, this is the best, hands down. The trade-off? Slower per-core performance. You probably won't notice it, but it'll be there. The Intel will also last longer, although how much longer, I can't really say. This build also has a whopping motherboard with features that piss all over the Intel's, so if you want, you can always crank back on the motherboard and shove that cash elsewhere. At the end of the day it's up to you. We've reached a point in CPU terms where things are stagnating for desktop gamers. The CPU manufacturers are aiming for lower power consumption and more mobility, which for the rest of us means that the performance is at a level which isn't going to be raised any time soon. Provided you're not looking at a $40 CPU, you're pretty much set, although the two listed here are pretty much the best at what they do, hands down. As for graphics cards, there is so much competition going on between Nvidia and AMD at the moment that they've both had to slash their prices to remain competitive. A $500 card last year is now going for $300, a fact that PC gamers are more than happy to point out. Let me know what you think.
  7. This made me giggle a bit, even though it's just a load of utter tripe:
  8. That is freaking awesome!
  9. Bees can you try a different browser or even pc? I'm trying to determine where the fault is.
  10. Anyone else having this issue?
  11. Razer =/= Razor you illiterate ginger monkey.
  12. You'll get a decent system for a grand. My personal experience of Razer is that it's rubbish. Every single Razer product I've had bar the Nostromo has failed in one way or another. My RAT 5 went on forever, I gave it to a mate and he's still using it about four years on. Great mouse. I'm now using a Vengeance M60 and it's by far the best mouse I've ever owned. I absolutely love it. I'll put together a list later, but you're going to need to assemble it yourself. Have you got a copy of Windows? It's best to get a legit one, Windows is getting fussy with pirated versions.
  13. Try clearing your cache. I've had this happen too, it was on the user end though, not the site. I'm looking at the buttons right now. If you don't come right let me know, or if anyone else has this issue, let me know too. Ta.
  14. It's about time you showed up again dude! Welcome back, always glad to see your face around here.
  15. I'll return to this later, bit busy atm.
  16. Can you do a desktop? Laptops are way too expensive and impractical.
  17. YES! PC MASTER RACE!
  18. Sniping in BF4 is one of the most rewarding kills I can get, and I'm pretty good at it too. I'll record some gameplay next time I'm on. Thing is, snipers in BF4 usually have a bad stigma attached to them because the majority sit on rooftops and hills as far away as they can from any action and play like little bitches. It is awesome fun shooting them when they're not on your team, or even switching teams half way through a match and blowing their faces off. The bullet drop is awesome, and although I suck at long range, put me in close-ish quarters or medium range with a sniper, and I'll do fairly well.
  19. STEAM STAHP!!!!!!!11111
  20. Left is Rebecca, our housemate. Next up is Glenn, a mate from another forum, and the last one is Philbottle, from here.
  21. I think I'm dying. Getting too old for this shit.
