    It's been ordered and should be available for configuring in a few hours. Keep an eye on the server info forum, I'm going to host an event of sorts on it soon to kick it off.

    Yep, makes perfect sense. I find I have three modes though, reckless, thoughtful, and "in the zone". The latter seems to be when I'm just in full form, everything going perfectly. It's also usually when I'm playing solo, and anyone who's ever played with this lot will know why.

    Good point. I'm a very firm believer that stats killed gaming. I remember the good old days when you saw a scoreboard after a match and once it disappeared, it was gone forever. Too many people give a toss about kdr, longest headshot, etc etc.

    Really? I'm loving it! had a blast last night with some of the folks from Musty Gaming and it was great fun. It does take a bit to get used to the pace and action, but I'm starting to settle in nicely. So much so that Phil and I are renting our own server

    Try running it as admin first, sounds like it *could* be a permissions thing. Otherwise I'll have a go this evening and let you know my findings.

    You can't really blame the game for the snipers though, that's just idiots who seem to think that 2 long distance kills a match are more important than actually winning. There are technical issues, but the patch is being released today so we'll hafta wait and see.

    Can't comment on the PS3 but on the PC it's frankly awesome, but marred by technical issues. The graphics are amazing, but then I'm playing with a graphics card which alone has more grunt than 10 PS3s. Gameplay is smooth as hell, when the game performs, it really is awesome. The technical issues are annoying, but there was a patch released which was meant to fix this so I'll have a go in a bit and let you know. Commander mode is a gimmick which can be deadly with a well co-ordinated team. Weapons feel a bit rough around the edges, certain weapons feel like they should be in different categories, but this is also being worked on. Snipers shouldn't exist, they're the most infuriating prats to have on your team or against you. I'd say wait out the technical shit, then when the game is nice and smooth, there'll be used copies about. If you enjoyed BF3, you'll love bf4.

    http://symthic.com/bf4-stats Holy shit. I think I might have spaffed a bit at how awesomely thorough these guys have done this. Go have a look, see what you think. I've been using the ACW-R a lot and according to their stats, it's a solid choice.

    Unfortunately not, no. Steam is notoriously hard on that.

    Five hundred squids will get you something decent, especially if you've got a mouse and shit. It will also leave you a good upgrade path so you can shove more and faster bits in it as you go, and stuff like the case will be cheapo crap but as long as you don't fling it around you'll be fine. You'll probably max BF4 out on £500. Also, if you want, you can come down to London and we can build it together. Not sure how that'd work transport wise, but if not we can do it via Teamspeak or whatever.
