Yep, I got bored of his shit after the first one. If it was someone going round a rally course like that, then massive props, but it isn't. It's someone doing takes over and over and over and then loads of editing. In his vids there are always billions of skidmarks in the spots he goes around, obviously parts where he fucked up before. And in some others you can actually see that the shots were taken at different times of day, or different days completely. Still, he provides the Monster generation with some entertainment for a few minutes which keeps 'em off the crack I spose

It's getting to a point where the two biggest players are fucking up so badly that all it will take is a decent game that works to hammer them from the top spot. Both CoD and BF on PC are so knackered at the moment that they're barely worth playing. BF I'm sure has improved since the recent patch but the launch was a catastrophic failure. People are saying that games are getting more and more complicated to make, and devs are getting worked harder, etc etc, but that argument falls apart when you realise that there are so many recycled elements from previous iterations, and even then, these are triple A titles: if you don't have the resources, then hire more. It's not that hard. The game coding industry is saturated with people trying to get their foot in the door, but the publishers would rather release a defective product and deny all this talent the opportunity to grow than hire some of them and release a quality product. It's a joke really. If you went to the cinema and watched a film and had to come back numerous times to get the full experience you'd flip your shit, yet gamers seem to suck it up (myself included) and let these publishers get away with it.

You earn them for certain achievements. Dunno what they all are, but I think you get a bronze every ten levels or something.

You can open them in Battlelog, simply click on "Soldier" then "Battlepacks" and open them. They are / were a bit glitchy on the PC, I had to open some in game because they weren't showing up in battlelog. I also had to reboot Origin for them to show up. Not sure if that's been patched yet as I haven't played in a few days, but I've got a few so I'll have another go tomorrow or so.

What are people's thoughts on the new Battlepack system? I personally love it. Unlocking random stuff is always nice, I've unlocked some googies that would otherwise take me weeks, if not months to get in BF3. I've got a few camos and other shit, mainly optics and a couple of dog tags. The only issue I have with it is that some things are battlepack only, which means that it's pure luck to get something you want. I'm not sure if you can get doubles of anything, I haven't had any yet, so time will tell. Thoughts?

Well, it does say in the ending credits "sorry for having the police round" so that might be a small indicator. Have you seen the real thing Dave? Search "Gymkhana" on Youtube, you'll find loads of Ken Block stuff. I must have one of these carts, they're too awesome to not have.

See, this is just another argument in favour of PCs. Games are so cheap it's unreal, then we've got the Humble Bundle which is simply astonishing and helps charities too. People are always banging on about how expensive PCs are, and in the initial purchase might be a bit more, but we've got no monthly fees, cheaper games, free games, mods, I can go on and on. Consoles simply can't hold a candle.
