  1. Ladies and Gentlemen and Euan, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we are knocking on the festive season's doorstep, and that means festivities, family, friends, and perhaps most importantly, free games and gaming stuff! I personally have a decent stock of PC games to give away which I will be chucking in to the pot, but should anyone else wish to contribute towards making this an awesome festive season for all our members, you will notice that I have added a little donate button to the homepage. I would like to stress that I have this (almost) fully covered, but when it comes to gifts, the more, the merrier, right? If you are in a festive mood and would like to contribute something towards the pot of free stuff and joy, by all means go ahead. All the gifts will remain in this community so if you donate something, you can rest assured that it'll most likely go to someone you know. Whilst there is a monetary option, I am also collecting any game vouchers, PSN / XBL codes, or anything that can be sent over the internet and keeping them safe for when the day comes to hand out the gifts. The goal on the donation bar is purely for token purposes, I am unfortunately unable to create a donation option without having a target. I set it at 100 dollars to be safe, but should we surpass this, I will reset it and we can start again. I will personally be throwing in some funds here and there, and I'll also pick up a few PSN and XBL cards next time I go shopping, so when the winners open their games or consoles on the big day, you'll have some credit to go with them. We have come a long way since we all met, but one thing we can say for sure is that those of you who are here, right now, are all some of the nicest people I have ever met, and without you, none of this would be possible. To all the new guys, I'd like to welcome you all once again, I'm sure you'll fit right in in what can only be described as one of the nicest gaming communities in the world. Thank you all for reading, I hope you guys will all join me in celebrating the first proper festive season for Forever Gaming, and thanks for all your support. Stay classy Forever Gaming! Much love, Dave
  2. Hahaha, sorry to hear that Ceppy!
  3. Yep, you should be golden. In fact, your rig is probably more capable than mine as you've got more cores than me to play with.
  4. I'll try dude, but I'll probably be knackered. These night shifts are a killer.
  5. Nope, fraps records mic input too. And as you say, one drive for the game, and one to record to. Sounds like you're all set up!
  6. They're a bunch of clowns from the DayZ forums that get into shit for spamming bullshit all over the place, so I made them a thread here so they could spam their crap all they want. Turns out signing up is too much effort. Ungrateful bastards.
  7. Nah, fraps will record fine. You might need a second hard drive, but try without one first. Minecraft isn't very demanding.
  8. Dude I'd watch the shit out of your commentary.
  9. Do they have trains in Florida?
  10. Nice, I like this Snake person!
  11. Ok sweet, that's exactly the answer I was looking for. If I can get some folks to commit to a few bucks a month, I'll pay the majority out my own pocket and we can have our very own server where we can play whatever we want, whenever we want. We could have tournaments on it, all sorts of events and fun stuff. When we're not using it we could have it rotate maps, gamemodes, or do whatever we want really. Once the game is out I'll revisit this idea to gauge interest and run some numbers. I'd probably host the server somewhere on the west coast of the US so we can all have a decent ping. no point hosting it here is the east coast guys are going to have 2-300ms ping. Still, I'm just throwing some ideas around here. This is still early stages, I want to see how the contributions go for the Teamspeak and Minecraft before I dive into something that would leave me considerably out of pocket if I had to fund it all my self. So far, so good. We've had a fair few contributions so I have high hopes yet!
  12. Loads. A mate on the DayZ forums made it, he's just as nuts and romantic as me so when we're together sparks fly and angels fall and shit like my avatar happens.
  13. Odd, it's showing up in Nitropanel, so something must've kicked it off. Can't find a schedule though.
  14. Could it be Nitrous?
  15. So are we getting auto-backups then? This is a good thing as it helps with griefers. How often is the backup?
  16. Whitelisting now being dealt with HERE.
  17. Well I've got it on pre-order for the pc so I'll do a write up of it after a few hours.
  18. Tommy try again plox.
  19. I'm probably going to rent a BF4 server for the PC. It'll be funded 100% by myself, but for this reason it'll probably only be 20 slots at first. If I get enough interest from other players who are willing to chip in for a bigger server, then I'll go for that too. How many of you would want a server for us to play on? Would this be worth my while, or are the PC folks here not interested?
  20. I was half tempted to tell your wife that Ikea had a one off everything half price sale today, but I thought that might be a bit much for you to handle.
  21. You know what CoD and BF have in common? Guns. That's it. BF has squads, squad upgrades, tanks, choppers, jets, boats,, proper sniping, different classes, bigger maps, levolution, 64 player matches, I can go on and on. It encourages teamwork much more than CoD. It's a completely different game. I agree that the TTK was a bit low in the beta, but even then, I can live with that.
  22. Hahahaha, you pillock.
  23. Folks I've shuffled some stuff around to decrease the amount of forums and whatnot. We kept growing and growing so I've restructured a bit to keep it a bit simple. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. Ta.
