Datte, we know you're in a tough spot bud, just as you know we're always here for you. This thread isn't even a prime example but there have been a few in the past, the most notable occasion was in the shoutbox when you mentioned looking at steaks and then having to eat cereal and water. It's those that rub people up the wrong way. People see this as using your position as attention seeking, regardless of your intentions. As I'm sure you're aware, once people start getting frustrated with other people, they are much more cynical to what said person does or says, and it appears that's what's happening here. You might have good intentions, just having a laugh and chatting about things, but some people might perceive it as otherwise. Think of it like this: your granddad served in the war and is one of those people who won't keep quiet about it. All his sentences start with "when I was in the war...". You can see how that'd get annoying, right? And eventually it gets to the point where every time he starts speaking, you're thinking "what now old man? ". It's not just that. The same can be said for anything: hobbies, new parents, religion, etc etc. I've also noticed that you mention your situation a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'm always here if you need s chat, as are Tommy and Chris, but we're well aware of it - there's no need to bring it up all the time. Try keep an eye on that dude, it's nothing big, just a part of learning how to deal with other people as you grow up. Of course people could jump all over you, but at the end of the day we're all family here and if you can't rely on us to point you in the right direction every now and then, then you may end up on the wrong side of people who could actually positively affect your life at some point. And don't get angry with Tommy or Chris, as I said we're all family here and a family that never has disputes is dysfunctional. I would like to ask the other participants in this little dispute to please take a moment to think about a way to discuss these things better without it turning into a silly dispute as it has now. It's about fucking time. To be honest I think that the whole dedi servers thing was an ace that Activision was keeping in their sleeve for a rainy day. Dedi servers have always been possible. They'd probably have to have a community funded model like BF, but saying it wasn't possible before this is just flat out wrong. If you ask me, the reason we're seeing this now is because CoD is losing ground. People lost interest in BO2 faster than any other CoD to date. BF4 is bringing the fight right to their door, then there are other titles like Destiny which are also going to want people's cash. If someone only gets one game for Xmas, they'd have to think wisely about what they want. Whereas previous years it could've been CoD right off the bat, there is now too much competition to simply rest on those laurels. This is why we're now seeing dedicated servers. Not because of technological adcances, but because Activision needs to play every single card they have in order to hold their ground, and they know it.

This dude makes sense. Datte, what are you costing your mother in food and stuff now? Would the loss of your contributions towards the household be negated by your absence? If so, get the hell out and start building your own life. I was also in your shoes at one point, mother in debt, earning a pittance, just a general rut. I moved to London, started setting myself up and now I earn a good living and have paid off most of my mother's debt for her. She's happier as her living conditions have improved, she now has a son she can actually be proud of, and she's a happier person for it. Seriously bud, this might be the time for you to spread your wings make your own path in life.

Sorry that came off as a bit harsh. What I meant was that breadcrumbs and shit will attract them, it's good practice to keep your house as clean as possible for many reasons, this being one of them. As for getting rid of them, fuck knows. You can kill them, but they'll breed faster than you can. If you've got an infestation, it'll take months and months of proper treatment to sort it out. This will cost a FUCKTONNE of money. If I were in your shoes, I'd clean the place up as much as I can, spend the cash you were going to spend on roaches on getting the damage your sister caused fixed (do it yourself, ask for advice here if you need it, holes in walls are easily fixed) and then get your landlord to sort it out. If he doesn't, take photos of your living conditions, show him the photos and tell him that you're going to send them to your council's health and wellbeing department and watch how quick it gets sorted. He can get into massive trouble for that. Don't tackle the cockroaches, that's a side effect of not being able to call your landlord. Solution: call your landlord. For this, you'll have to sort the damage first.

'Cos that's where the food is and they're not stupid. First off, sort your sister out. Honestly, I had someone like that in a house share once, he used to kick holes in the plasterboard everytime he lost his cool, until one day I stuck his face through the plaster and broke his nose. He never did it again. That behaviour is unacceptable. Secondly, and unless this problem was inherited from a previous tenant, clean your house. If you've got "dozens" in there, it means that you also have the food to feed them. No food, no roaches. Man, if I was your landlord and I found out my house was in this state, you'd be out the same day, no questions asked.

Mkay, so on PC, my experience was awesome peppered by lag. My WiFi card is less than adequate at the moment so I'm sure that didn't help. I max the game out easily on ultra with everything turned on at 1080, but the lag is the killer. As stated above, it's to be expected and can be worked around. Battlelog is the worst piece of software ever developed, but I've been chiming that tune forever. The game itself, is brilliant. In the moments between the lagspikes it really is well sorted. The TTK seems significantly lower than BF3, the medkits are smaller, but I found camping to be a major issue. Obviously camping is the easiest tactic hence why it's in the game at the moment, but once people start catching on to it I'm pretty sure that campers will be in many a sniper's scopes. Most obvious is the top of buildings. I went up tons of elevators only to be greeted by some twat sitting on the rooftop prone, with his sights on the lift. I have no doubt that there is a sniper spot somewhere which is yet to be found, and if not, that DICE will implement one, as the campers sitting there are frankly ridiculous. I came out a lift at one point to be greeted by no less than four of them. I haven't ventured into vehicles yet, I drove an APC for a bit but the lag spikes meant I crashed quite a bit. The handling seemed alright but it needs work. This is most likely a lag issue. So far, I give it a 7/10. My feel towards the game is that it has the potential to be a solid 10, but at the moment it's let down by simple flaws and what can only be described as "bitches" - people who camp. If DICE manage to sort out the connection issues and give us a way to combat campers, this game ought to be awesome. I can't comment too much on vehicles yet so this score is based on direct combat. I have high hopes for this game.

Ah yes, Betas and the morons that play them. You know, the most watched and monitored games ever, and yet some way, somehow, you'll "find a way to lag". That's everything that's wrong with gamers nowadays. Sore losers.

So this is one of the most fun games in existence. It's system requirements also make Minecraft look like a beast, it pretty much runs on anything. In order to play it, you need Half Life 2 and Garry's Mod, both of which are pretty cheap on Steam. I'm hoping people start looking at this game as not only will it run on a modern laptop very well, but I'm also hoping to host a server for us to fuck about on. How is your sleep pattern Steve? Have you tried the same sleep times for a week or two to see if that helps? My sleep pattern at the moment is all over the place and I'm always tired or unable to sleep. When I take a week or two off work I try and maintain a steady sleep schedule, which really makes a noticable difference. Have you sought medical advice for this at all?

^WoW was the first and that was sub based, look how far that went. I suppose the Warcraft games before then could've contributed to it, but I wouldn't have thought to the extent that it did as they were a completely different genre. I'm liking the MMO sounds coming from these guys, it'd be awesome to have raids n stuff on a console game.
