  1. Sean you gonna do some MC with us?
  2. Yep, see my post in the GT6 forum for moar infoz.
  3. I was saving this one up for when I start a blog, but fuck it, it's dead here lately so it's time to get some tongues wagging. I have noticed, mainly in team-based games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, that if i start losing badly to a well organized team, I start "losing hope" so to speak. I will usually go into try-hard mode and bust out the take-easy guns, but if that still fails, I usually go on the back burner and simply ride it out, as I feel there's no point in trying any more. I have also noticed this a few times with nemy teams, theyll start off strong, and if I'm on a team that's doing well, they seem to sag off and start sucking more. Either that, or my team miraculously gains some skill. On the flip side, I've also noticed that if I'm on a decent streak, I tend to get "in the zone", where I pay extra attention to my surroundings, who's around me, who's facing what, where the exit and choke points are, lines of sight, etc etc. It's when I get into this mental state that I go from being a mediocre player, to downright irritating to the enemy team, and sometimes I tear it up really hard. This only happens in about 10% of the games I play, and I get into the "given up" state in about 30% of the games I play. For the rest, I usually just either have a laugh or roll with the crew and see how it goes. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I weird or is this normal? Disqus.
  4. Anyone seen this yet? Just thought I'd share it, it's rather amusing. Having said that, those graphics.... Fap. http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/jeremy-clarkson-forza-motorsport-5-preview-2013-10-17
  5. Having seen the graphics of this first hand at Eurogamer, I must admit that I was seriously impressed. If the gameplay and sound matches the graphics, then Turn 10 can genuinely be proud of themselves. Fora 5 will be Xbox One only. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r46D1lRpO1k I spent some considerable hours playing 3 and 4, but the game just lacked something for me. It felt too clinical, to clean, nothing seemed wrong. It was just... too perfect. Even looking at cars in their garages, the garage looked like it had just been the location of a mass murder and a crime scene crew had cleaned it up. At least with Gran Turismo the cars were in pits, paddocks, museums, etc etc. Whereas GT4 (not 5) felt like the kid in a Focus RS hooning around a track at full tilt, Forza felt like a physics buff measuring g-forces in every corner in his perfectly tuned Nissan GTR. I don't know if that coes across really well, but for me, racing needs to have a bit of grit. A bit of danger. A bit of people sideswiping each other to get ahead. Forza just didn't have that. I'm not sure if I'll be getting this one myself, but as I said, if the graphics were anything to go by, then Forzaists have a fantastic treat to look forward to.
  6. So apparently GT6 is going to be PS3 only. The PS4 will have to wait for GT7, which will only be released in a year or two. This seems like an odd move, especially as the GT series was always such a crucial title for Playstation. I would've thought that Sony would've put some pressure on Polyphony to get a game out for the PS4, but it could be due to games like Destiny that it's been put on the back burner. Even then, 2-3 years seems like a long time to wait to release a Gran Turismo title for the PS4. Is this Sony being very confident, or perhaps a smart move to sell consoles later down the line? Who knows, but it's an interesting move nonetheless.
  7. So who's looking forward to this then? Have a trailer: ------ Personally, I'm not too bothered, but if they manage to bring the same level of gameplay back as GT3, then I'll be all over this. GT5 was a massive disappointment for me, probably because it was delay after delay, only to be handed a game that felt unfinished, with only a percentage of the cars being premium, the sounds were crap, to name but a few things. I'm fairly certain that this was mainly because we spent years building up hype whilst they tweaked and tuned, only for someone in their PR department to pull the plug and tell Polyphony to release it fast. Due to that, things that were still in the works were rushed off and we got a disappointing game as a result. This is also the 15th anniversary game of Gran Turismo. How the years have flown by, it seems like just a couple of years ago that I sat in awe looking at those square wheels on the original Playstation. Make it a good one Polyphony, and more importantly, make it on time. GT6 is for the PS3.
  8. Bart what amount of work are we looking at to set this up to go public? I'll help as much as I can obviously but I don't know how much help I'll actually be able to be. Does it involve starting from scratch again, or can this be added to what you've already done?
  9. Nvidia rubbishes claims. Do you remember that Nvidia posted up a load of specs for Call of Duty: Ghosts the other day? Do you remember that the Recommended spec was obscenely high – specifically, citing a GeForce GTX 780, which costs about £500? Apparently, those specs weren’t official. Whew. A Tweet from the Activision Support Twitter account, when asked if NVidia’s specs were legitimate, wrote: “Unfortunately they are not. Please stay tuned for the official requirements coming soon, thank you.” So, just like with Watch Dogs, the specs that have been appearing before launch… aren’t the real specs. Hnng. Of course, the updated Watch Dogs specs (which still probably aren’t the “official” final specs) were somewhat higher than the old ones, so these not being real doesn’t mean much. I’d be shocked and horrified if a GeForce GTX 780 was recommended for anything other than Absolute Super Bastard graphics quality, though. Call of Duty: Ghosts is out on 5 November. We’ll likely be bringing you a review sometime after launch. --------------------- It never fails to amaze me how companies can often spaff their load prematurely. Looks like it was all a load of shit. I wonder how many cards they sold?
  10. Bahahaha, some epic shots in here, also loving Dylan's avatar!
  11. Looking good man, gonna be fun building stuff again!

It's cool, your link worked. It's just DICE being smartasses again, nothing special.

I don't get it. Explain pls
  14. That's what I was thinking. Except that Bart is the only one here who actually knows what he's doing, I'll learn as I go. I'll need more mods and admins too. If I were to appoint more, you'd have my phone number on Whatsapp so you can contact me whenever if you need any advice, ie what to do with naughty people etc etc. It'll also cost a ton in the beginning until people start showing up and contributing towards the running costs, so that'll come out of my own pocket unless others are willing to chime in for that. Dunno, let's see what Bart says.
  15. So how far are we gonna go with this? It's a great opportunity to grow this community a bit.
  16. Where's the zip file?
  17. Here, I'll start with this one. You need to watch the whole thing to get the most out of it:
  18. Once the server's all set up I'll make a nice shiny thread with all this info in it.
  19. Spend* Meh.
  20. Yep, I love my recon even more now. It's also brilliant that C4 is default, you don't have to dpens hours grinding to get it. I still need to work on my aggressive sniping, unless I get the drop on someone I'm usually gone, and I refuse to sit on roofs like a little bitch, although counter-sniping is by far the most fun thing for me.
  21. Looking good old man, you really have a knack for this!
  22. Jesus christ, go cap a fucking flag already. Epic vid!
  23. davidknibbe23 at live dot co dot uk
  24. Depends on how many people chip in, but budget on 2 quid a month.
  25. I shall look into renting a server this weekend. In the mean time, I shall say this again: You will be expected to contribute towards running the server.
