    Didn't think i'd make it with all the football stuff trying to sort out at home but i'm glad I did. Even @Diddums turned up with his shotgun...and dominated some games with it! Great games all, glad we could have a big FG squad to group up on. James' Vtol nearly grabbed us a win from being down 10-20 points at that the start of the match, shame we lost that final kill to that camping bar steward. And we definitely need more of the Search and Destroy 10v10! We'll have to see if we can make a bigger group up so we can play the 10v10 modes all in one team!     Baum now has the drider gland, dragon heart and giants spine: Drider Gland - Levitate and darkness spell Dragons Heart - Flight, Produce a breath/Flame, Long Life Giants Spine - Long Life, Regeneration. Matt/Greboths characters were staying out of sight. Lavendar went to kill Arn but was stopped by a second spell. Baum looks up to see Jarlaxl (drow mercenary leader) was responsible. Jarlaxl and Baum know each other. Jarlaxl levitates into the middle of us, and threatens Baum to leave, however Baum must leave Lavendar behind. Jarlaxl got us to fight Lavendar as a test. We beat the shit out of Lavendar and kill her. Jarlaxl states that whilst Lavender was not a good person she was good at what she did. It shows Drow respect warriors. Jarlaxl picks up Lavenders Axe with one hand, which shows how strong he is. Gives it to Breadbin. Azum promises to act as a member of Bragen D'Erth and is given a necklace/pouch with 2 effects: Levitate - once per long rest Contains a coin of bragen D'erth which can be used with thieves guild. Azum promises that once Baum is defeated, he will go back to the underdark to join with Bragen D'erth. The group travel back to Slema and into the Tavern on a quiet afternoon. Jeremy and Miranda are happy to see everyone, particularly Arn. The main group joined a local militia and took out a cult in the early sessions. There are now proper kings guards, who regularly see and hang out with the group. Guard Captain Foundry Finds us at our table in the tavern. We update him on what happened, and a group of people overhear that we killed Lavender and join us at the table. They are keen to hear about the underdark and what we did. We got the posh guard twats to leave and resumed talking to Captain Foundry. Captain Foundry shows a royal parchment which says there have been a series of attacks on villages east of Slema; St Julians, Paceville, Mosta (the coast). The reports suggest they were attacked by the scourge and ghouls. These are unconfirmed reports, it could just be bandits. There is a reward for investigating the attacks all the way to Mosta, requesting eye-witness testimonies from us. Breadbin persuaded Captain Foundry to give us fresh supplies, horses, carriage etc. Father Richards is the local priest, who would be good to talk to about facing undead. Cereny (from thieves guild) might have information about how we can counter the time stop spell in exchange for the coin.

    I'll leave my notes here, have probably missed something... Arn the Bear was saved by Matt with a Spare the Dying spell. The Party headed back to The Swan in Slema, where people were surprised to see them. They learned Baum and Lavender teleported to the swan, stayed for a few days and then left. The party met Azum, who informed the group that Baum is a wannabe sorcerer who has zero magical powers. He collects magical artifacts to gain power. He has collected at least 3 artifacts including the Dragon Heart and Giants Spine, by tricking groups into helping him retrieve the artifacts, then betraying them with a Stop spell. The next artifact Baum is going for is from a Drider, which will give him the Darkness spell, as well as levitate. A gnome called Ceryni from the thieves guild beckoned us over. He gave us information and direction son how to get to the Drider. As part of the agreement, the group each promised a 3%share of their treasure. As Azum had no treasure to offer, he instead fought a man who owed money to Cervni. Cervni gave us the following advice: It's dark, so dark vision is very useful Everything is trying to kill you and eat you If you see drow you are already dead. Just run. It goes deep, chances of finding a way out are slim. Leave a trail After shopping for some essentials, we headed to the Underdark. We were given the instructions: Walk for 1 day, go right at the fork, walk for another day, go right at fork, walk for one more day, go left, circle the city of Menzobaronzon and find the dryders We entered the Underdark, holding a rope as to not get separated, then left a trail until we came across a cavern. This was about half a days walk. In the cavern we ended up fighting a giant crab. The fight generally went very well, and we did a lot of quick damage to the crab, however a huge thunderwave spell from Cal did huge amounts of damage to the party, particularly Azum, who got sent flying and left with only 3 hp.

    It was a decent night once we got everyone sorted because Ant had that issue where it stops you playing clubs. A handful of games, mixed bag of results but our performances felt like we should've won most games. Defo a good night.

Slaughter verb kill (people or animals) in a cruel or violent way, typically in large numbers. @Greboth please identify the correct word YOU want to use to describe the events next Wednesday? I think you misspoke originally. Or is it just the large numbers part you were unsure of the attendants?

    Oh sweet! The more the merrier @Luseth! We've never really done the modes where we're just people and shooting each other, I think maybe cos the shooting is pretty crap in it so its always been the vehicle modes, from stunt races to Target ones and the Sumo ones. They've always been a hit. I'll have to update the game and get an event up for next week now 😄

    That's not how this works and you know it. What happens is I turn up an hour late, make everyone stop doing whatever they're doing and play Nascar with me, then as soon as a race starts go for a poo, miss the whole race and come back whinging that you're doing something else again. You should know this by now Lee, I'm rather disappointed in you.

    It was brutal last night due to contest mode but we got the mechanics of the first encounter nailed down. 6 hours of failing gives you a team that deep knowledge ! I’ll see if I can put a raid in for next Sunday if that works for you

    You did great @techno , join up whenever you like. First run through there’s a lot to take in even for a VoG1 veteran like yourself. Second time round will feel a lot more familiar. The overloads are a pain in the ass, I managed to kill myself with 1k feedback from him a few times, swords are a better option often

    like you said aiming with controller is very imprecise and i am even worse with it that's why i have been almost exclusively pc player, i can't aim even without a mouse even if my life depended on it, it's just i worry i may have a brain bsod and shoot the wrong one, still thanks to everyone for being understanding and explaining stuff and guiding me with loadouts etc especially @TurboR56Mini and @Riff Machine , thank god i found this forum because i have some people to play online with

    @Tar-Eruntalion 's first raid! That was pretty awesome especially as some of us were getting reacquainted with keyboard/mouse for D2. Thanks @crispymorgan and @Ajay for hopping in and tag-teaming! Extra kudos to @TurboR56Mini for playing team captain, @Riff Machine for taking some of the more difficult roles like blocking templar teleports, and @Bluebear for always being up to take on new roles and stuff 🙂 If people are up for it, we can keep this time slot for PC raids. I'm home by 11AM ET/4PM GMT to do it.

    Yes that intro was hell ! Also a thanks to @techno for stepping in to assist in that opening hell whilst Crispy was late. I think both teams did great just to get into VoG after that. Happy to say the fresh run we did yesterday evening saw considerable progress, I think we got to gatekeeper in the same time it took to open the bloody door on Saturday. Gatekeeper itself has changed a fair bit from the original, but i dont think it was too much of a problem, just meant we had to have the whole team active rather than having a couple add clearing, so i think its a change for the better. And Aetheon changes as well, but i think we are well on the way to understanding that. Massive thanks to @GazzaGarratt and @RenFengge for sorting out the rosters for Saturday, I know it was a trying time !!!

    Enjoyed this race. Finally getting into the swing of things. Maybe some more research with cars, perhaps the Citroen GT isn't the best car for me. But setting a good time and feeling like I belong in the middle of the pack. Just wish Lee could catch a break!

    We have to remember that Ajay is young and therefor shouldn’t be still raiding at 10pm to be fair. The raids do end up taking a massive amount of time. When I was watching the stream there must’ve been like 30mins of messing around on the jumping bit 😂

    Yeah was a fun night, and good to have you onboard @jordie1892 . Tis a good raid, and that heritage roll you got is pretty good, those last two perks are just a great combo. We've been running regularly Thursday night and Sunday lunchtime, bit screwed up this week and me and Charlie are away, but look out for the calendar events if you want to get some more done. We will be going back to Last Wish at some point i guess, and then we aren't that far off the return of the legendary Vault of Glass
