Last film I saw in the cinema was Moana 2 which was terrible. Last film at home (Sunday night is family film night) was Godzilla x Kong The new empire, My lads choice - cheesey balls but entertaining enough haha he loved it so that's the main thing.

So my other hobby which has slackened off in recent years has always been reading. The past few weeks I have been nosing back through some of my books and realise I have a few now all related to video games. So I just thought I would start a conversation about them and see if anyone else has any recommendations? So the first one I am going to talk about is 'A guide to Japanese Role-Playing Games', this is probably my go to book at the moment for a few reasons, the artwork is brilliant in there as well as the game screenshots but it really goes into depth with a lot of mainstream series but also some unknown or more obscure titles. It is also where I am getting my influence from currently for my video game collection 🙂 When I say it goes in depth it literally goes back to discussing how a video game was first conceived in some instances, the writing can be a little mixed as it is a combination of lots of writers putting together their thoughts, history and experience on each series and such. This leads to some cool little memories and such being talked about. So yeah, if you enjoy JRPG's and enjoy reading this is probably the definitive guide for it.

Thanks Matt @Luseth! Really appreciate the update ❤️ In terms of what I've done in the past a few things I followed, more because it felt right. If you're pro is a defender and you've kept a clean sheet, I give them a clean sheet If you play ANY and you are in the defence, I'd give a clean sheet. I'm pretty sure early days if you played ANY and your Pro wasn't a DEF, then I didn't....but I may have changed that nearer the end as it didn't feel right, especially if ANY controls 3-4 of the defence. They are still defending way more than anyone else. Regardless of Pro, ANY would receive any assists and goals as well as Yellow and Red Cards. Wouldn't look right if you won 3 games 1-0 and the ANY scored all 3 with another player, yet the stats show absolutely no goals. CDM early on didn't get clean sheets. However in the last few FIFA games I changed this stance. If a player was actually playing CDM properly - and usually we call out who is CDM, then I would give them a clean sheet. It seemed pretty clear the likes of James, myself or someone like Martin, we'd say 'I'll play CDM' and the game flowed like that as they sat back. I don't think it fully matters in the end, as anyone could argue their contribution to a clean sheet in a game - even striker if they come back in a specific game - but CDM probably harbours the most credit alongside the defence and GK in most games. Its nice that you are being generous to Tom though...I swear I had him on about 7 AFK's on this Monday night alone! 🤣 But at least its making it clear what we all knew all along 👀🤣 Its great to have stats back. It just gives you something else to look at and maybe help to create objectives for ourselves and each other. I'd love to get back to creating FG Medals for games again so if this keeps going then I'd be up for creating more if it warrants it.

To be released in 3 months time, the brand new Nintendo Switch 2 looks like they've initially mproved on the biggest issues from the Switch 1 (for me anyway). Controllers are a nightmare, so it looks a much better way to click and connect them. Not seen the specs anywhere just yet but nice to get a slightly bigger screen and best news is Switch 1 games are compatible with NS2 devices. Thoughts?

First post will keep the running total and then each week I will put up the weeks stats in a new post 🙂 Hopefully get a few of us back on here keeping an eye on it, see who comes top and maybe get us chatting on here a little more. It also gives us a little more to clubs again as we have a decent regular group! So here are the running totals (which is essentially game week 1) - We also have a new table this week, this one is to see how many points we win vs the total available really. Thought it might be nice to see if we win or lose most or if it tends to be around 50% because it's scripted 😄

Ah thanks, I will use the above, I don't want to really change how the stats are done as it make's it easier for more than 1 person to jump in and help say if I am on holiday for example. There will be a few stats missing then i.e. I think I had 1 or 2 yellow cards with the randoms and such but I didn't make a note of them. @James Tom now has more AFK's (there was an issue with the spreadsheet, it wasn't adding up the right cells btu all sorted now). Like I mentioned last week I may have missed some 😄 But I don't want to make it to harsh else he would have won the medal by the end of week 3! The number of clean sheets is now 2, which 1 of those was the game where the other team were dicking about 😄 But yeah we don't tend to get many clean sheet's on this game!

Last film I saw was die hard at cinema just b4 Christmas, yearly tradition of mine, last movie I watched though was Kraven The Hunter, wasn't the shit heap I thought it would be, wasn't amazing but the action was fantastic.

Recently watched Nosferatu at the cinema, it was an okay film but definitely not worth the recent hype I saw for it online! Good cast but personally wouldn’t watch it again.

I went to a reshowing of Seven at the cinema today. What a fantastic film.

I used to have a huge collection of DVD's but ended up offing most to Music Magpie to declutter years ago. I'm tempted to start rebuilding again as streaming just feels so soulless and even if you 'own' a purchase that is streamed, it can still be taken away from you at any time down the line *cough Sony. Some DVD's used to have awesome extras on them especially the James Bond films.

I have started doing this with blu rays for the same reason, I dont have to worry about them disappearing on me. I have a little collection should the internet ever go down n such and generally the quality is better along with extra features n such
