Well, I've picked it up off Amazon so will be here in a few days. It keeps coming on my feed and the small snippets of videos look truly awesome. Hopefully we'll plan a few events on FG and get a few squads going 👊1 point -

I have just checked this out, you can have a server of up to 20 players but smaller squads of 3 to take on objectives and quests.1 point -

Had my reservations about this game due to the amount of delays. It's not what I was hoping deep down that it would be, but it's better than expected. Land movement annoyed me a bit the first maybe hour of playing, then I progressed far enough to where I could get a proper ship and some cannons and boy... This game is epic. Combat is actually challenging, progression actually feels like you've worked for it and properly earned the upgrades you get. I think on saturday I spent a good 10 hours playing the demo and 3 of those were me just working to get the best ship available in that demo. There's so much to explore, plunder to be had, upgrades to farm for and ways to earn silver and infamy that I have to admit, I fell in love with this game and by the time the beta ended last night I was pissed at myself for not having been on the ball earlier in the week to get the demo on the 8th to maximize my playtime 😅 Hell I only fucking found the black market 2 hours before servers went down on sunday I was that busy burning every port to the ground. The few things I didn't attempt was mainly the pvp events and also the sea monster event. I did try going after elite captains and also the ghost ships but it's near impossible while solo. (hint hint nudge nudge people, get on the ball!) Did have anamerican budy join me on sunday for a bit but he was hours and hours of progression behind me, it does seem like quests completed while in a group counts for everyone though, as he was completing his early quests I still got silver for them, not sure if I would have gotten infamy as well as I had already reached the max infamy rank available in the demo. Overall I have to admit I quite enjoyed the grind to get better ships, weapons and armor and finding combinations of these that worked for me. It's time consuming but this can be sped up in a group as you can send your friends materials, guns, blueprints and all kinds of things. So if anyone is ahead of the pack you could help out others that find the grind tedious or simply can't get the required items to progress due to enemies being too hard for them to fight. As for how many can play together I've seen both 3 and 5 mentioned and the menu in the demo looked like it had room for more than 3, so I'm not 100% sure. But, I'm willing to bet you can get more of your friends on the same server and then split into several smaller groups but still take on elite captains, ghost ships, sea monsters and bounties all together as any player ship can do this without being in the same group as you. Pvp also seems to be off unless you go for the pvp events so sorry @Diddums you wont be able to ram everyone to try and sink them if you end up playing this 🤣 Honestly very excited for the full release, I've seen their planned roadmap as well and there seems to be quite a bit of content they intend to add in so I can see myself spending many an hour on the open sea plunderin' fer booty! Yo, ho, haul together Hoist the colors high Heave ho, thieves and beggars Never shall we die1 point -
I won't lie, I'm a little burned out with this COD already. I am trying to keep it more engaging by switching up weapons, playing around with the flamethrower n such the past week but there are a couple of dreadful maps i.e. Highrise, shipment (this is fine for camo grind but should just be kept away from the main playlist I think). My gripe's not necassarily the game itself, it's fine and typical COD, gunplay is good but my gripes - - Even now spawns in a game can very quickly still become a clusterfuck, the number of times I have spawned in (particularly with smaller maps) and spawned right in front of someone to be shot in the back is absurd. Then with larger maps, you only need one person to sit in spawn sniping and then you can't get away from it. - Maps, the MW2 maps are great nostalgicly but they are getting tired. In fact the reintroduction of some of the maps from the last game have for me been one of the best aspects of COD lately and I think there is a gulf between them. The 3 lane design in principle seems simple with newer maps but I think due to that the games flow better, a game of domination tends to result in points swapping either end and provides options for flanking and flipping spawns which is a plus for me. - Player base, I know there isn't much that can be done here but we do come across some toxic lobbies. I am fine with camping and such generally but when you get a whole lobby doing it then it get's tiresome and those matches become really dull.1 point

Modern Warfare III

The latest 3 new maps run pretty well. Alongside most maps from the start, apart from Highrise, its been really good running through them. Lots of rotation and not much Shipment popping up either. Rust is the Shipment alternative but it doesn't run that bad in MW3. Domination games have been tight last 3-4 days, which led us all to think some matchmaking has been tweaked. Still an enjoyable experience. I wish they'd make it clear though on where the new stuff is within Challenges. It would be nice to track them in the menus and in mid-game.1 point -

Unfortunately I did not get round to playing it, I ended up trying the new FFVII demo which has got me all excited for it now. That said I have seen various tik tok video's and a review or 2 and it sounds like the game has gone down quite well, the stumbling block for most people though will be the price tag as I think to buy through the store it's like £70 I think? Just looking about online you can get a physical copy for £53 if you know where to look so that's not so bad! That said I am going to be paying £60 for FF at the end of this month and I quite want to get Helldivers 2 as well so justifying a 3rd game at a time when I'm trying to clear some credit card debt may not be feasable. How many can you have in a party / lobby?1 point -

I never played the Silent Hill games so I can’t really comment to that. However I did play PT and it does feel like this game has tried to recreate something similar, but PT is far superior.1 point -
Silent Hill: The Short Message

I've heard it's only Silent Hill by name and everything else is pretty lame. Pity because the PT demo we had a decade or so ago was epic! Silent Hill 2 remake has also raised some surprise concerns that the developers (who are not very popular for numerous reasons) have missed the point and are trying to turn it into Resident Evil.1 point -

I'm digging it. Action is intense, with lots of baddies to deal with. I like the system involving drops from your ship. You hold a button and input commands to have special weapons, resupply creates, reinforcement, etc to drop. Good fun so far.1 point -
