  1. I think my list always changes depending on my mood, but first that come to mind would be: 1: Pulp Fiction 2: Interstellar 3: Grand Budapest Hotel I could probs make a top 100 and still be sad to miss films out

  2. Pulp Fiction! How could i forget that film? It definitely makes it into my top 10 but not sure if it quite makes top 3. Grand Budapest Hotel was a brilliant film, i love that style of film. It reminds me of Only Murderers in the Building. A top 3 of each genre would be good, action, romance, animation, Xmas films. Then i can put Die Hard as number one Xmas film and have an extra spot in action films haha

  3. @Luseth I just went in a private game with bots to test a few out. The best 3 with a 2.5x zoom are. 1-FSS Spectre Microtherm 2-SZ Holotherm 3-TOS Nightfall 2.5x Thermal Optic All work with smoke really well. 1 and 3 are the most clearest. I don't like the reticle 3 comes with. It has that Draganov kinda cluttered lines on it, a bit like a measuring jug with markers etc. I picked the microtherm number 1, for me personally it's the best. They only slightly affect ads. The other options are all 5.5x and over. They will give you Sniper glint, even slower ads penalties and also a slower aim walking move speed.

  4. I love GTA single player, I don't mind how big the map is, not something I've ever thought about. But yeah agree online is for FG race nights 🤗

  5. Thanks for letting me know, I will make a note to remove a count from Final Fantasy 16 and add one to Hogwarts Legacy! Thanks to everyone who has voted so far!

  6. Don't get me wrong, my statement is factual and with no emotional connection to it. I think its always good to understand how life works - from a 100% business perspective is a shrewd move. From a moral, ethical point of view, its not needed in any way. Amazon have enough money in my eyes as they have effectively created one of the best way for people to shop in 2024 - again, I say 'best' knowing its subjective, but I mean in a factual sense because we benefit from ease of use, although I really do miss going to Gamestation and browsing all the physical games available. I think they've been one of the few that are able to speculate to accumulate companies, that allow them to offset costs from different bits like films, tv series creations, through people sending in Prime memberships when I bet most people don't even make full use of quick deliveries like we do in our house. I think maybe I should have led with this as when you start comparing services, then you start to create the thoughts if a subscription is something I should pay for or not. Against Netflix, Disney and the rest, none of them give me what I regularly use on Amazon. And as you say Rich, weirdly, Amazon seems to be cheaper, not many restrictions to watching their service, etc. Its a good thread to get peoples views on this stuff. I'm still interested in if anyone has a free service like YouTube, do they pay to get rid of ads at all? Just a really interesting subject as years ago, FG was gonna have ads on here but I never wanted them but you then do have to rely on the goodness of peoples hearts to care about being around and donating to keep stuff rolling. Clearly the big corps don't need to do that as much know but its clear to see adverts must be an absolute monumental money spinner in this day and age for them.

  8. My voting is slightly unfair as you'll see. I voted for Alan Wake 2 because my company worked on it, Baldurs Gate 3 because my mate Neil won best actor for his role in it and Zelda because it's the only game on there I've played and it's brilliant.

  9. I have cancelled my subscription and it comes to an end later this month, it's ok saying it's just £3 a month but multiply that by the current number of people that use it and that is a ridiculous amount of additional income, income that Bezos certainly does not need, think about how much money Amazon bring in do they really need it or is it profiteering and banking on people to be of the same opinion as you Lee? I think there is a reason why they have just said adverts so far as well, they are being quite clever I think in not revealing anymore than that, we don't know currently what form these adverts will take, whether or not they will be skippable and the length of them, if it's just typical adverts much like we would see on tv then the value of our traditional TV with BBC and ITV begin to look better value for money. I also think this is not about Amazon making better products as they are suggesting but recouping some of the losses they have made on some of the big tv shows such as the rings of power. I mean why isn't there an option to just have prime delivery, I only use the video and music because it is there but I would happily pay less and just have the delivery. In fact half the products you buy on there now are no longer 1 day delivery which was it's initial draw, the amazon prime subscription is being watered down more and more and I think the incredible value it started out being is no longer there.

    FG Game of the Year

I voted but realise I messed up one of my votes and put Final Fantasy XVI, I should have picked Hogwarts Legacy woops! My other 2 choices are Baldurs Gate 3 and Fire Emblem Engage, I played Baldurs gate in turn based and I tend to enjoy more strategic combat so you can see why Fire emblem was my other pick. Both games were great in there own way - Baldurs Gate 3 - The relationships between characters, the creativity in how you can approach quests, I even got around one boss I was struggling with by talking to him with one person and then pushing him off a cliff with another. If anyone ends up picking this up on PS5 I would be up for playing a co-op playthrough and approaching things a bit differently ^_^ Fire Emblem Engage - The story is decent, the colours are wonderful and happy and it keeps a particularly refined combat system going along lovely.

  15. Honestly no idea I never look at game time deliberately so what I have seen has mw2 time included. However I did grind the shit out of it over the extremely wet holiday period. I think I did priceless to interstellar over 2 sessions and in most cases priceless was easier than forged.

  16. I've used most of the Thermal sights from MW2, which carry over to MW3. Some are really good, depends on the zoom you want. A short 2.5x, 4.0x, 5.5x, 6 or 7 etc. Remember the bigger the zoom, the bigger the glint. I used Thermal for most of my longshots for Orion camo. 1000+ longshots or something, can't remember but it was a lot. Some of the best ones were. SZ Holotherm (for shorter ranges). Drexsom Prime 90, Teplo-OP 3. There are others I can't remember the name. If I see any when I'm next on I will recommend. Avoid the ones with a white lens, they tend to be harder to see especially with smoke. Always go for the greenish/orangey ones. If you go for a 2.5x Thermal you won't get a glint. I think it's under 3.5x won't give you any. But you obviously won't get the range potential.

  17. Congrats Gary, I'm still doing golds and forged ones. Was doing the Sidewinder recently, still not gold. Probably the worst gun in the game, the stinger Pistol is a bit rubbish as well. How much gametime did it take you Gary?

  18. I think we all agree on that then @techno and @Middle Class Caveman, but we're only a few people that play a specific part online whereas they'll be many people out there that would say scrap the campaign and just have GTA Online part, given how huge it is. I would love to see some or all of the campaign drift into the Online side. We have heists, which work extremely well. I can't see why they can't do exclusive private Online sessions for the campaign missions they want to lock down for you when they don't want you to have help on it.

  20. 1. Gladiator 2. Pulp Fiction 3. The Silence of the Lambs Honourable mention, Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers (Favourite Animated Film). I also REALLY enjoyed watching Whiplash, As Good as It Gets, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape, again recently, but didn't think they quite had what it takes to make my list.

  21. I voted for Sea of Stars too, I absolutely loved it! Whilst I wasn’t really satisfied with the ending, the full journey The game takes you in os simply brilliant!

  22. Yeah games like Tarkov and Seivert are difficult as they are in Beta, then you have other games in early access. Then you have Games like Fortnite that continué to reinvent themselves every year! Hopefully this final list is a pretty good representation of the Forever Gaming community!
