Picked this up again today, this time on PC along with Beyond Two Souls which I didn't get round to playing. Although I know the story of Heavy Rain, I'm looking forward to giving it another go after a good 13 years. Along with The Walking Dead game, I think it will go down in history as a very important and unique game of its time.

Personally, I'm not bothered about the era or whether the new 'game' is just that or an expansion - I just want a product that is made to the best potential possible from the most lucrative franchise in existence with 3000+ developers at their disposal. Really isn't asking too much especially when they are demanding £60-110 for the privilege once again. Sadly, this likely wont be the case based on these highly credible early reports - developers being bounced around pillar to post, timescales being completely unreasonable/unrealistic and Activision executives still toying with how to release the product for the best payoff and to hell with the community or credibility. They are only in this position because of their non-existent post-launch support on MW2 which was a perfectly fine game under the hood despite some questionable design choices. COD 2023 should have been an absolute cert that built upon the foundation its predecessor but instead, it's nothing more than a shareholder pocket filler and a second crack and not making the same mistakes after the population has nosedived. I can see SHG being thrown under the bus and being made scapegoats once again. They are the weakest developer as it is, so its one hell of a responsibility for them to concoct a full game that lives up to the name out of what was originally a tacked-on expansion. Either way, the community are going to be getting a very inferior product or one that's not been developed in the correct way. Activision really take us for granted but they are really beginning to make a mug out of the community if they think they can pass this shitshow off for full whack. With 3 mainline developers and another 8 side studios on their books, it's just insane how they are in such a messy position. Maybe Sledgehammer can salvage something especially on the launch content front but I can see this 'spin-off' really struggling and franchise fatigue will really set in especially if MW3 is expected to be released the following year. If they had a clear forwarding strategy for each game post-launch, they wouldn't be in this mess.

FIFA 22 Pro Clubs Here we are, back again. Our FG Pro Club team has returned for another season of victory, laughs and most importantly... blazing shots over the bar! Our previous season saw us win countless trophies, cups and even head-to-heads with rival teams. As well as winning everything imaginable, last season gave us an amazing platform for new signings to make a name for themselves and really bring character to a good team. We truly built something FG can be proud of. However... with all that said, we're back again on the new release of FIFA 22 for some more amazing football. Craving the same dizzy heights of the last season. Striving for more trophies and more laughs along the way. This season we'll be continuing with the same format as last season with, Monday nights being our main meetup time. Hope we have as much fun as we did last season! Don't be alarmed if you haven't brought the new FIFA game yet. FIFA 21 MNF we be continuing until the new year before we start on the new game, so you won't be left out 🙂 GGFG!

There were rumours originally of just a straight up Map Pack for MW2 that contained all of the maps from the original MW2. I'd have quite happily paid for that. What they're doing now just sounds, like you said, desperate. If Activision would actually support 6v6 properly then they might not see the drop-off in players like they're currently getting.

I did yes, a volvo s60, not the most exciting to drive but it ticks a lot of boxes in comfort, economy and all the gadgets i could ever want. I have added a bit of structure because otherwise I just won't play half of them, I have decided I will pick like 3 games and see which I am feeling when I complete Hogwarts so that I am not tied to just 1 game. So they will all be different genres and it will be whatever style of game I fancy when I get to them. I like the idea of us all picking a game, essentially a bit like a book club ^_^ Maybe put up a poll for several games and see what the majority have available to them and pick one of those.

They are losing $200m a year on average with the current business model and aren't expecting to post a profit until 2027 and even that sounds rather optimistic because it's based on a complete shift in their model of stopping free games and only accounting for paid revenue. If it does post a profit then it will likely be minimal - they wont be burning money on giveaways but they certainly wont be delivering much money to cover the annual losses since it was formed. Their only selling point is freebies and I bet 95% of those users don't have an established transaction history on record. The Fortnite crowd also don't seem to be branching out to support the platform and they cannot maintain this business as it is forever, even in the short term because it's not viable. If it wasn't for Fornite and Unreal propping them up, EGS would be defunct already. Game Pass is a better option especially when it comes to newer titles - most of the giveaways are titles that are passed their peak income or are old. They certainly haven't managed to attract much in the way of game exclusives and now Ubisoft have returned to Steam so there goes that partnership too! I deleted my Epic account years ago and have not ever grabbed one of their freebies. The interesting thing is they only have to pay if the end-user installs the game - imagine the black financial hole if they paid for every title that was added to an account! I can't see it ever turning around.
