The 5th year of the FG Awards!! After a year of reconnecting with the real world for all of us, this year has flown by so quickly, but we couldn't end it without having our star awards to round off the year on a high. It was a privileged year too, as we were able to present many of our FG Awards in person at our biggest ever face to face meet up. I really hope you enjoy reading the below piece. A unique place deserves unique rewards to give us all the best memories to hold on to. So let's get into them! Young FGer of the Year A person that has had an extremely busy year for himself, studying for A-levels and the hope of getting into one of the most prestigious Universities in the land. However, even alongside this really important life task, he made himself available to help FGers complete raids in Destiny 2, and any support needed to get a Dungeon done he would be there. Not only this but he's now branched out to Dark Souls games, sharing his feedback with all of FG, including creating his very own PPR. Winner - @Venom - Charlie FG Noobie of the Year Since joining in May, he has been an ever present all over FG; contributing in different in multiple topics, sharing new information, posting videos, reviewing new games for us to look at, giving us great joy (and banter) on FIFA nights and equally getting involved throughout the week on other FG gaming nights too. I delight to have around and a real FGer with same core values we all hold to help each other where possible. Winner - @Luseth - Matt Guardian Down Award We had some funny moments this year from people that carried on trying regardless of their epic fails. There are two winners this year as there was no separating them through the amount of trial and tribulations they've had on Destiny. So much so, this Grandmaster clip epitomises how and why they couldn't be separated. 7th run in, after not getting very far at all, we reach the first turn in the map before the first checkpoint. I get blasted into space and thinking Nick and Kempy would be the saviours, only they could manage to kill themselves in glorious fashion. Winners - @Bluebear & @Kemp210 - Nick & Kempy Archbishop of Banterbury This guy has had one hell of a ride this year so no wonder we find him most nights randomly in a party with us all and when you least expect it, blasting out the most random expletive you can think of, which usually sends everyone into a laughing frenzy. He's always getting on most week's, especially FG Fridays bringing the jokes of his weekly escapades along with him. For all the hard points in his life over the past 12 months, Bones is a fine example of cracking on and trying to have as much in life as you can. Winner - @slamminbones - Paul FG Skills Award You look good, you feel good. You feel good, you play good. FG's Mr Smooth Operator has been banging out the park across multiple games this year. Whether its ridiculous fancy flicks on FIFA, his slick sniper shots on Warzone, or even Ko'ing 2 gangsters at the same time on GTA. The guy has it all. Not to mention his joke delivery is usually bang on the money. Top props for an absolute top guy. Glad we have him at FG. Winner - @jordie1892 - Jordie FG Play of the Game Keeping the award going from last year's debut at FG, there have been many FG clips that have been simply superb. Kenny's efforts to annihilate everyone in CoD, Leeesh's finishing skills on Elden Ring bosses, yet here we are talking about another top evening of goals from our resident Left Centre Mid for FG, Macca. The clip below is not only one clip but it was an array of some incredibly skillful goals from just one evening with FG. Hopefully the likes of the people above can push more people here to share their clips for everyone else at FG to see. Winner - @Macca89 - Macca FG Top Contributor Tough one to call this year, with J4mes Oxford still delivering tons of info for us, Kenny chipping in with some great variety across FG but someone that just shades it this year is our favourite Canadian, an incredible person that can also double up as batman online when we want him too, and has also started a podcast with Sarah that we're all very proud of to say he is an FGer. Some great reviews and some great info about some games most of us never knew existed. Winner - @Riff Machine - Chad FGer of the Year Who says you can't win awards more than once? A real toughie as many of you have been fantastic for FG this year. This person has kept many a game night going, and when you need that one extra person, you know he'll be there. He keeps me going, and many other factors in FG tick, including multiple server games and offering his incredible support through his extra talents with art, maths and videos. All in his own spare time. Epitomises what FG is all about and I'm sure he will keep on helping people forever more. Thanks for everything this year, Greebs. Winner - @Greboth - Chris Hall of Fame Two amazing people that have been here since the dark ages. They've always been a dynamic duo that's kept plugging away with some of our most senior crew on Destiny and CoD, laughing away and giving things a go even when it may not end up in their favour. And it was great that we were able to meet them at our biggest meet up ever in November to give them their awards. Always available to lend an ear if you ever needed it and give you the straight talking truth even if you didn't know you needed it! Resident FGers for life, thanks for everything Mazz & Gaz. Winners - @mazzer & @wapntake - Mazz & Gaz We're finally done for another year! Phew! Looking back I don't think I'd ever see a year flyby as quick as this one but it certainly has and I hope it has been a great one for you all at FG. We must keep true to ourselves and keep being around for each other. You all play a fundamental role in why FG is the one place - the best place - on the internet where people can feel loved and know they'll always have a friend here to lean on when they least expect it. Congratulations all well deserved. I would love to know who infected me whilst we had the meet as that infection is the cause of me going deaf in my right ear and won't hear properly till the new year 😂

Congratulations to everyone that won! Contact with FG’ers varies but always good to see others being recognised for their contributions and all well deserved. Personally, it was a shock to win the first time and even more this so time as my main aim is to fulfill the quota for cunt of the group 😄 It’s an honour to be awarded in such a way and I now have 2 trophies under my monitor 🥰

@GazzaGarratti forgot about that GM moment with Nick and Kempy 😂😂😂 Your res in an impossible place…. Nick turns around to find you and backs up into the milk and dies instantly then Kempy’s like “I don’t leave a guardian behind” and goes for your res rather than Nicks and dies too 😂😂😂😂

I've got ALL AR's GOLD!! Woop woop! Never thought i'd do this ever on a CoD. And yes @TigerBurge , M16 isn't actually that bad now I added attachments. It still annoys me cos I hate bursts 😅 I'll keep on the grind cos i'm loving it, but I won't prioritise it over winning in an FG squad. Its so much fun trying to win in a casual way together.

I think England were unlucky last night. Started off a bit slow but was persistently robbed by corrupt ref. Didn’t take our chances and the penalty miss was just typical for us. Kept France largely at bay including the overrated Mbappe who the media seem to suck off relentlessly but two quality finishes really undone us. Really not sure where we go from there though as it’s another miserable exit and failure to beat a top 5 side. These refs are absolutely shocking - last night and in the Holland game I haven’t seen anything like it since the old days of FIFA corruption. Defined a first half penalty and the first France goal was a blatant foul on Saka in the build up. He didn’t even want to give our second penalty either!

Oooo i've tried not to watch too much of that because all the new things excite me muchly!! This is such a fantastic game and I only stopped for a break whilst we tried to get people involved. It is probably the one server game I can play all year round knowing I'll have something to do in it. One extra boss I assume? I'm hoping we can get more on this as I just love our chilled sessions where we can build loads of fantastic buildings. I wanna see a whole FG City now!! Is it good news that we can use our existing server or is this enough to start completely fresh? I know this isn't like 7 Days where you don't get too ahead but at the same point many new/returning players might want a new world. I'm open to either right now.

I think its okay to say sometimes 'that's just football'. The deserving team and better performing one doesn't always win and thats why we love football for its unpredictability. Some of the harsher views will slowly come out of the wardrobe and say get rid of Southgate, time for a fresh change, bottled it again, (Carragher saying should've been braver), etc, but I think any balanced footballing brain can watch that game and say they wouldn't have done much differently. Sometimes your chances go in and sometimes they don't. Didn't make subs until late because the team were playing extremely well and then still gets criticised for making it too late or bringing a player off people think that could've scored 17 more goals in 5 mins left. First goal shouldn't have stood quite clearly and its a wonder goal to boot too. We probably could've had 5-6 pens and i'm not sure how Griezmann stayed on the pitch for the amount of fouls he was making. Can't use them as the final excuses, just facts that will compound our misery. Disappointment is a part of life, but I equally admit that I wish it wasn't this night. That team really was going all the way and just got knocked in a stupidly close game.

I’m really wishing I jumped around weapons like you have did. Going in order is definitely going to my my grinding a little more painful as I’m almost finished with last LMG. Leaving shotguns, marksman and snipers.

Serves the people right that bought it. Everyone on YouTube and Reddit was saying it was going to get nerfed. If people want a change to the system then they have to stop paying money for shit like this. Stop buying all the bundles. I’m fine with season passes. I hate them but I understand why they do them. It pays for the content. I would always buy the dlc packs and typically hated the maps that came with them and disabled the map pack or your connection suffered because the community was split. This way now everyone has the maps. Even though most of them suck or we get Shoot House and Shipment instead of any other classic map for the MW series.

I've put around 60 hours in T7 so far. I play MAME, so play arcade fighters on them sometime and I have Fightcade setup if I fancy an older game. Add me and maybe we can play sometime, same name as here.

I would put myself in the same boat as you. I really like fighting games but I'm not very good at them, I would say that I'm better that most of my friends but considerably worse than most people online so finding people to play with can be a bit difficult. I've always enjoyed fighting games since having SF2 on the SNES as a kid, I've attached a list of my current fighting games from Steam. Most recently I've mostly been playing Street Fighter 5 and Guilty Gear Strive, I've got about 30 hours in each of those games. Skull Girls is an interesting game too, with the option of each side picking up to 3 players and the game buffs or nerfs damage caused accordingly really interesting art style also and I can't forget about my all time favourite Killer Instinct. # I've been playing with the Hori Octa controller which is a really interesting fightpad I played a lost of Strive with this one and the 8bitdo Arcade Stick which feels awesome in most games I've played.

I believe they sold an insane rate because it even went into Steam's top sellers which is based on revenue and considering it's £10, a lot must have been sold and I imagine way more on console. Easy money though - get the army of VPN bot-playing shills to promote it, everyone buys it thinking they'll get a significant advantage, players then complain - even those that own it and then saviour Activision comes in with a nerf to keep people partially sweet although a bit disappointed and it's off to the next £10-25 bundle!

Finished the RPG and Lachmann battle rifle to gold.

Well I have finished Snipers and Marksman Rifles to Platinum camo. I may start chipping away with the Battle Rifles or LMGs.

This actually stopped me from getting into OW2, I hadn't played OW1 so am completely new to the franchise, I love the Characters, the Game modes, the classes, but I just found solo matches to be such a mixed bag. I found that when playing solo I never really had any good supports making tank and dps really difficult to play so spent most of my time playing support. I had some great games where the tank and dps players took care didn't stray too far and protected me, but for this most part I found that the other players just left you on your own ran off on their own and died quite quickly. Which became quite frustrating.

Brazil 1-1 Croatia (2-4pens) What an incredible game! Croatia were remarkable and the keeper made a string of crucial last ditch saves. Brazil looked like they won it in extra time but Croatia never looked deflated and got a very late equaliser - serves them right for not seeing out the game. Neymar didn't even get round to talking a penalty either! Modric is just too good. Most underrated footballer ever!

3 of the 5 snipers are Platinum 5 of 6 Marksman rifles are Gold That's about it so far. Continuing the grind.

If a certain playstyle or gun isn't working, e.g being aggressive with a Shotgun. Then you switch to something that does work like the LMG, it's best to stick to what's working well vs the enemy. Plenty of matches I've started with the intention of using a battle rifle or something. When it's not working or I'm dying more than I like, they will start crying when I whip out the AK74u. I just see it as a "Oh well you asked for it buddy".

I enjoy the Icarus but I don't really use it very often. I've got it in my Anti Air build, I had an interesting match on Shoot House going for shotgun kills and was having a terrible game just getting hit markers before promptly dying the enemy team then called in a VTOL I switched to my AA build and shot the VTOL down with the Icarus and had a great run afterwards with it maybe got 5-6 kills off the bat. Then back to the shotgun and I was back to hit markers again.

I loved the Lachmann. Excellent all around. You will change your mind when you get to the M16. You will be questioning your very existence. Hating life and everyone on IW. As you’re doing this remember I did it before the buff 🤣. The Icarus I basically made into a AR.

I quite like this game. I think it's better than the last few games we've had. The maps are mostly decent apart from a couple. It's not perfect but it's not totally shit and much better than MW2019.

Portugal 6-1, that's a message to the other competitors. Expected a much more closer game.

I'm so far out of the hardware loop that I couldn't even tell you whether to go AMD or Intel anymore. So to that end I'll suggest selling the kid and pooling the money for his PC and going to Vegas instead.
