Love it @Spacedeck , thats awesome to hear you finally now passed Elite 4 years later. Must have felt pretty good to get it done. Which one out of the final team did you enjoy using the most? The Charizard looks like its levelled alot more than others, always makes me think of a T-Rex if it as the equivalent terms in Jurassic Park type games!

Its all good now @Greboth, we worked it out last night that it just gets you both versions of the came (PS4 and PS5) mainly for people that have PS4 now but soon to have a PS5 and want to save money with the upgraded game (although Activision shouldn't be charging for the upgrade imo like others haven't). Hi James @anticonscience , I don't think i'll be on tonight as I haven't pre-ordered and then need to download the beta although i'm keen on trying Sunday hopefully on the Open Beta. I suspect most of us will get this one though given our playtime on MW2019 over the past few months. Looking forward to what people see!

They do listen to the community. The community that loves to sit in corners and camp. And that community said they love loud footsteps and a mini map that doesn't show your location when you fire a gun.

XclusiveAce early impressions. He says it seems like it'll be better than MW2019. Good: Maps are much better, the maps are more colourful and vibrant. You can now choose between killstreaks or scorestreaks. Gunplay is solid. Bad: Footsteps are very loud with no Dead Silence or Ninja as a perk. You can't cancel reloads. If you're a sweat who likes to slide all over the place like you've lubed your pants up then you can't slide cancel now. Also there's a new perk system where you choose 2 perks that are active straight away and then 2 more perks that get activated as the game progresses. Seems like an odd design decision.

To me it won't matter about how it looks, gun Smith, sounds content etc if the maps are trash and the footsteps are loud as hell imo it will suck. The maps make or break multiplayer games for me especially arcade shooters.

Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition (Game Boy) https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Pokémon_Yellow:_Special_Pikachu_Edition Everyone knows Pokémon, so it needs no introduction. You are tasked with becoming the Pokémon Champion, travelling through varies towns while defeating the Gym leaders, eventually gong on to defeat the Elite 4 and finally the Champion. Shamefully this is the first time I can say I've ever completed the main story of a Pokémon game. I have some good memories growing up of playing Pokémon Fire Red, getting to the Elite 4 but never getting past that grind to be able to beat them. With this being Yellow, it contains all the wonderful Pokémon we will have grown up remembering. As a bonus on this special edition, you start your journey off with Pikachu (just like the TV series!), who also doesn't like Poké balls and will follow you on foot throughout your journey. Some areas can be a pain if you don't have the right type of Pokémon, especially when you first come up against Ghost type Pokémon. You won't have to grind much early on and you will just defeat the Gym leaders as you pass them. The elite four might require a little bit of grinding, although that too is easy but time consuming. You can simply just keep fighting the Elite four over and over until you blackout to level up quickly, they provide some juicy exp. Mostly they use Ice type moves, which is another type that is really annoying to fight against. So many times I was getting 1 hit KO. The Elite four was easily taken down with some extra levels, and pretty much only used my main two Pokémon for the entire fights, then the actual Champion fight was laughable. Hardest of them all was definitely Elite no. 4. Once the game is finished, you can continue to play your save and even go for that full Pokédex if you are so willing! I will now be moving on to Pokémon Gold or Silver, or maybe even Crystal! So my winning team?

Shit quality video to start with but from what I've seen, the game is basically the same as the last one. I'll have to watch a bit more later but being an old gen game that will last for 2 years is just holding this franchise back as usual. Campaign will probably look way better but the MP looks visually subpar. Still looks pretty solid mechanically and that will be interesting to see whether it follows the 2019 feel or something a bit looser like Cold War.

We've already got travel booked in November, going to CA to visit my wife's family and then do our own thing. My MIL is in from Jordan. She spent 2 weeks with us last month and is now with my BIL, so we'll see her again while we are out there. My MIL is awesome so I'm really looking forward to it.

I think this will be better MW2019 as that means it should get received better than many CoDs that have come for many years imo. We've been playing MW2019 for months now in MP and I can't say the footsteps really bother me at all. Its something that you adapt to and use to your advantage when needed. I don't find it breaks many games but i'm sure one in every 5 or 6 games we'll get rolled over easily by that uber sweaty camper, that plays on his own, and never, ever completes the objective just so he can soundwhore you coming. If it was a massive problem we wouldn't win so many games on Core and Hardcore of late.Teamwork over footsteps and you'll be fine. Theres way better field upgrades to use instead of Dead Silence too.

Not only can I not agree with sbmm in control, but now bungie double down on stupidity with quitter penalties in control 🤡 True vanguard also had a way longer video saying basically the same.

By their own words from the infamous 2019 interview, they created 'safe spaces' for newer players with no regard in how experienced ones could exploit such design philosophies. I love how they've removed slide cancel although I expect they'll buckle and add it back in at some stage but other design choices are rather questionable. Dunno why they don't just stick to the usual tried, tested and proven formula without the need to take the 'edgy' and risky approach. Sound design will never improve sadly because as always feared, it's an engine limitation problem but there's no excuse for them not to include counters to this issue rather than throwing everyone under the bus.

I can’t stomach watching any more of this stupid gameplay event - all the COD content creators look and sound the same with their stupid hats, sweaty gameplay styles and nauseating OTT personalities. I’ll have to watch some standalone videos instead, preferably with no commentary. Saw one map which had nice colour but then the next was incredibly dated and drab. Way too early to make a judgement though and I still look forward to trying the beta for a couple of hours.

Red Dead Redemption (2010)

After telling @Grebothnot to pre-order COD I've pre-oredered it myself. Digitally as well 🤷‍♂️ Am I a hypocrite? Absolutely. I'll happily tell somebody not to do something that I'll then do myself. Am I stupid? Maybe. After buying Blops Cold War, regretting my decision, and then saying I wouldn't do it again. I have, in fact, done it again. Just like Britney did. So I'm really REALLY hoping this game won't be shit. If nothing else the campaign will most likely be excellent. And I may get past level 30 in MP this time. Maybe.

That's cool, literally scoring the game for free. Yeah I didn't think you were a cosmetics kinda guy. I refuse to waste money on that stuff. I grind everything I can for free, I'm that tight I bought the battlepass for season 1 MW19. I completed every season in MW19 think there was 5 or 6. If you finish a season you can afford to buy the next. I continued this all the way throughout Cold War and Vanguard and finished every season. So in retrospective I spent about 7 or 8 quid initially and 3 years later I'm still reaping the benefits. 😎

Seems to be a very convoluted situation The GoldenEye Re-Releases are a Weirdly Convoluted Situation - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Two different versions of GoldenEye are being released on two different consoles, but neither are the recently leaked remaster. It’s a weirdly convoluted situation. Basically the Xbox version gets 4K, Local MP, 60fps plus achivements and the Switch gets online multiplayer but a far weaker experience in regards to framerate and resolution as expected. The absolute killer for both versions is that NEITHER are the remaster that was leaked last year on PC which was an excellent ground-up reworking plus like with Halo and it's MCC versions, you could switch to the old appearance in the press of one button. So basically both devices get the old N64 port with varying quality and MP features but nobody gets what was finished back in 2008 which was the Xbox Live Arcade version made to the same standard of the outstanding Perfect Dark remastering. Seems everyone is gonna get the short straw with this but at least Rare Replay owners will get it for free. It's such a travesty the unreleased version from 2008 will never legitimately see the light of day and those money men clowns who own the IP's don't know the opportunity that they've let walk by.

The problem is they took PES as far as they could under the Fox Engine which saw PES 2021 release as a season update rather than a brand new game. People were then under the assumption that them moving to the Unreal engine was to realise the next gen potential however it's been clear that this was a bait and switch and it was simply to bring the console and mobile versions closer together. Now Konami look like utter planks trying to roll with a mobile game on hardware pushing 4K. Only way they can truly salvage something is if they move to Unreal Engine 5 and work on a proper current gen title but doing this will mean they have to separate from mobile. This will definitely go down as one of the worst decisions ever made in the history of gaming - 7 years of hard work and keeping toe to toe with FIFA all undone just because they thought people wanted a shared console v mobile platform rather than a groundbreaking football experience. It's also utterly idiotic that you can't play more than 5 minute matches plus there's still only 9 teams. I can understand them not having the balls to charge full price for such a stripped down version (demo as you say) but the F2P model is not worth anyone's time. Given EA an open goal for the next 3 years at least I'd say and they will be milking the shit out of their next game without having to adhere to FIFA brand regulations.

It’s cross play when it comes to multiplayer so different generations can play against each other. I’ve not been able to find details on if you can play together if cross gen. I’d assume we will be able to but probably through Activision ID’s rather than PSN’s.

Phase 4 has been a hit or miss for me thus far. Black widow should have happened many years ago but i enjoyed it enough, especially florence pugh's character, the eternals was kinda boring even though it has a cool premise, shang chi ws good but i feel like the third act was kinda weak, i really liked spiderman no way home but for me it showed how much better the previous 2 spidermen were and i haven't seen doctor strange and thor yet As for the series, having read the house of m, the comic that wandavision was loosely based on i was expecting something better, i really hoped we could see creept wanda like the first times we saw her before she became good but now being deranged/insane be some kind of cosmic/magic horror show, not the boring sitcom we got. The falcon and the winter soldier had bad antagonists with the flag breakers, they made zero sense to me, but i liked the patriot at least, loki was good enough but again the cast carried that show, hawkeye was decent for me. I liked moon knight and all the archaeological stuff in it and the cast was great, i really hope they make a new season for it. I feel like ms marvel took too long to tell a very simple origin story and it kinda declined in quality as it went and she hulk has been fine except for some stuff like 4th wall breaking that don't work for me with her and it kinda feels aimless in general. I hope they succeed like with the infinity stone saga but i think they should have had a hiatus for a few years and also not make as many stuff and stretch it out a bit cause many will get burned out

A classic game most will have either heard about or atleast played, and more puzzle fun! Comix Zone (SEGA Mega Drive) https://sega.fandom.com/wiki/Comix_Zone Comix Zone is a classic many of you will be familiar with. As a child growing up, this was one of our most played games. You get thrown into your comic book and fight your way through various pages in which I imagine you need to defeat some bad enemy at the end, I don’t know as I currently haven’t completed this game *embarrassed*. The way you move between pages of the comic and the art style is some of my favourite from this time and I still have trouble with some enemies. If you haven’t played this, I very much would recommend doing so, the game looks great, sounds great and is an enjoyable game overall (albeit it is somewhat short with only 3 episodes!). Shove It! …The Warehouse Game (SEGA Mega Drive) https://segaretro.org/Shove_It!_...The_Warehouse_Game Released in Japan and US, this is one another puzzle game I enjoy playing. Your job is to organise boxes and place them in designated areas. It starts off fairly easy but it does start to get harder as you progress, some I’m still struggling with. Graphically it’s a little boring, as you are on the same floor with just a different layout, and different number of boxes. It’s a decent puzzle game and does start to offer some tricky situations you need to think your way around. So if you've ever wanted to work in a tricky warehouse designed to make you use your brain, give this a go!
