  1. Totally agree. I've said quite a few times recently that Sony are just fuckers for taking the piss. They increased the prices of games, increased the price of ps+ and now this. People just seem to defend them.

    Dead Island 2

This game has been in development since the early PS4 days. Cannot believe they are still persisting with it especially after the original devs moved on to Dying Light and this game must be on its third developer by now. At least it looks like it will release this time but whether it was worth the effort or expense remains to be seen. Original game was great but that was Techland.

  3. They have people by the balls so why not. It’s insane how many people are desperately trying to get one when there’s really nothing worth buying for it. May as well milk your own customers for as much as possible in this case.

I've been waiting for this game for a long time now as I love a good zombie game, but with how good Dying Light was this has a lot to live up to

    Lords of the Fallen

The cinematic trailer looks sweet enough, but I’ll curb my enthusiasm til I see some gameplay. *I’m not sure if it’s directly related the the souls like of the same name that came out years back.

  9. This popped up on my fb feed today and brought back memories of playing so many different wrestling games back in the ps1 days. I loved the original Smackdown games and played them so often with my mates, but WCW Mayhem was another one of my favourites since I watched both WWF/E and WCW back then. I'm sure there was a backyard wrestling game too which was pretty good fun. What was everyones favourite from those old old school games?

  10. For the tl;dr Selling cars will be happening. New tracks. New cars. New events. 1m credits. Dear Gran Turismo Community, Thank you for your continued support and feedback on Gran Turismo 7, your voices have not gone unheard. I would like to apologize for the frustration and confusion caused last week with our patch updates which resulted in, not only a server outage but also adjustments to the in-game economy which were made without a clear explanation to our community. We know that this is not the Gran Turismo experience you expect and we will be making a goodwill gesture in the form of a non-paid credit pack of 1 million Cr. available to those players who may have been affected*. You will see this hit your accounts shortly. Make sure you log into the game before April 25 to claim the credits. The patch update previously deployed was intended to rectify an issue with inconsistent reward payouts within a part of the World Circuit Events. But, to re-establish the intended equilibrium and provide more accurate rewards based on time investment and completion, it was necessary to recalculate the rewards system as a whole. To improve the player experience, we will be rolling out a considerable patch in the beginning of April. The number of events will be increased, and we will reestablish the reward system with greater balance throughout the game to benefit all players. Updates which will come into effect beginning of April: Increase rewards in the events in the latter half of the World Circuits by approximately 100% on average. Addition of high rewards for clearing the Circuit Experience in all Gold/All Bronze results. Increase of rewards in Online Races. Include a total of eight new one-hour Endurance Race events to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings. Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr. Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time. Beyond this there will be a few additional patches deployed between now and the end of April which will add new cars and tracks and make some other fixes. Finally, we also want to take the opportunity to lay out some of the near-term updates we are working on. We can’t confirm an exact date or specifics yet, but will give advance notice via www.gran-turismo.com. Increase the payout value of limited time rewards as we develop as a live service. Further World Circuit event additions. Addition of Endurance Races to Missions including 24-hour races. Addition of Online Time Trials and awarding of rewards according to the player’s difference with the top ranked time. Make it so cars can be sold. We want to thank you for your continued patience and valuable feedback as we grow and evolve GT7 to make it as enjoyable and rewarding for as many players as possible. We always want to keep communication lines open with our community so that we can work together to build the best racing experience possible.

  11. PS5 price to increase in select markets due to global economic environment, including high inflation rates BLOG.PLAYSTATION.COM New recommended retail price coming to select markets in the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions, plus Canada. Because, well, Sony gonna be Sony. PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – £479.99 PS5 Digital Edition – £389.99 They're already in short supply and Sony think this is a good move.

  14. Out of that selection I had the Smackdowns, WWF Warzone and Attitude. I also had WCW Nitro and the WWF In Your House. Had Celebrity Deathmatch as well. I think Warzone and Attitude were the best of it's time imo. I remember owning WWF Royal Rumble on the Megadrive. My friend also had Wrestlemania on the SNES. It was pretty good as you could pick Doink the clown. 🤡

    Lords of the Fallen

Really not an encouraging start if gamers can’t tell whether it’s a remaster or brand new game. The original for me is the worst souls-like ever created with clunky controls, floaty mechanics, cumbersome movement and the most dissatisfying combat I have ever seen in a third person melee game. I’m actually shocked this brand is still seeing the light. It did look nice visually but even the boss fights were lame with scripted windows of opportunity to win fights rather than dynamic battles. When developers don’t have a fundamental grasp of the title they are trying to rip-off, it really shows and this game was a devastating example.

    Saints Row

After playing through the initial bit of it, It's definetly saints row. It's plays pretty much like the previous games in the series and in all honesty, doesn't look any better than those said versions. I'm really disappointed they didn't try to create some new assets like fonts, or imagery for this "remake/reboot." Right off the bat, when I seen the same ole saints row font on all the in game menus, I knew right then that this was just gonna be "more of the same." It's been fun at least. I will give it that. It still has that SR charm, but I expected a lot more from something touted as a "next-gen reboot" of the series. At least I didn't pay full price for it. Lucky me! 🤪

    Oculus VR

Tempted to pick up a VR headset sometime and the Oculus Rift S right now is going fairly cheap at £100 off. The only catch seems to be that support for the unit is being stopped as newer models like the Quest 2 are being prioritised. However, a further concern is that the device has a fucking Facebook account requirement to function apparently that is now being enforced. I quit that platform many years ago and have no desire to return especially just to run a piece of electronic equipment. At this rate you'll need to be online to use your toilet and do a shit soon the way technology is going. I just want to use a device and not have any commercial crap attached. Anyone got any experience with the Oculus headsets and any more information about this? Index is too expensive, Vive is also pricey and the mixed reality HP ones are largely unavailable in the UK. Oculus ticks all the boxes aside from the Facebook requirement. I've also heard whispers people getting locked out of their devices because of separate issues with their Facebook accounts and also investigations in Germany about the legality of such things. I may have to give it a miss because of all this added bullshit. Don't want the headache.

    Oculus VR

It's finally happened although you now still need a supposedly less intrusive Meta account. Too bad they put the devices up by £100 last month - people were in limbo because they wanted to get one before the increase but didn't want to be left in the dark as to when Facebook would finally remove the login. As per scummy practice as usual, they leave people in the dark on the cheap and then bait people as the price rockets Finally, the Quest 2 no longer requires a Facebook login | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM A simple email address will suffice.

  23. I couldn't see what specifically they are doing to this? Hopefully it will add something like Qualifying though as I missed that the other night with us. Other than that, looks like welcomed changes all round. It says from beginning 1st April but we had a patch didn't we already for GT this past week? I wonder if selling cars will be for all cars, gifted and bought too.

Some great news Oculus Quest VR headsets to eliminate mandatory Facebook account log-in requirement | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM You will soon no longer need a personal Facebook account in order to play your Oculus VR headset. It's also good that you can pick up a 128gb one for £299 now. As soon as they remove the Facebook requirement then this may become an interesting proposition especially with San Andreas now confirmed for VR. I'd love to play RE4 and Alyx this way. Anyhow, fuck Zuckerberg and Facebook.

    Oculus VR

Seems I'm in good company in this thread as I went for the index. For me this was driven by it's one of the few HMD's that fit as my IPD (basically the distance between your eyes) is ~70-71mm and most HMD's top out in the 60's. Though I also went for the index for the buy right buy once motto as at the time it was the best (And arguably still is). Though if you're looking at the Rift S, I thought the facebook profile thing was coming in but if you already had an Oculus account it would carry on or something like that? It isn't something I looked too deeply in to though so there's a good chance I'm wrong. Sadly no HMD is perfect; between God rays, chromatic aberration, resolutions, black levels, refresh rates etc. each one has some negative about it. The Rift S does get recommended a lot though and, anecdotally, I'd say when I was looking all recommendations were for the Rift S or Index depending on budget. So assuming the Rift S would fit, I don't you'd be disappointed with it.

I think I’ve tried all the VR headsets apart from the PSVR, the Index wins hands down for me. It’s not just resolution, the fit and feel is a lot nicer. Also the controllers are the dogs ballz.
