Quite an interesting watch if you haven't seen. This thing can "apparently" predict eclipses and such. Facisinating to think something that old was able to perform such tasks. I wonder what other wonderful technologies have been lost over time. We were supposed to have flying cars long before now, according to The Fifth Element.......... LOL!

Man United looked so poor. Funnily enough Liverpool or Man City didn't look great either, but they did enough to get some points. Happy for Potter as he should be getting way more plaudits for making that Brighton team a force to beat and look really comfortable at Old Trafford. Kulusevski looks even better this year than year too for Spurs. Defo a top 4 pick already but a little early to say how high they can get by the end of the season.

It's easy to say today that it's not impressive as it isn't hard to make a geared machine that provides an analogy to our solar system. To do that 2000+ years ago however is crazy! Just tracking the moon or sun a day or week in advance is impressive. Veritasium did an interesting video on mechanical computers which includes the Antikythera mechanism and others

Looks pretty decent and more polished than first expected. Good that its a free game, especially with how many modes it has right now. I really need to see it jump up to 8 player games at least. Right now, their main competition is Smash Bros and Brawlhalla. Both these games offer 8 player games and its pretty much the same thing. With the levels not having huge diversity other than just a reskin of certain character shows, this would be the next thing i'd introduce for it so we could consider it on a FG Friday. Brawlhalla is always fun for an hour when we've played it before on a Friday so this would definitely suit us all. In its current format maybe if we ever had tons online, we could do a mini-tournament at some point on it. Would be something different for us all to try and play together.

JRPG's are very much my go to ^_^ But it depends a lot on the type of combat you enjoy, sticking with the retro theme game rather than moving to modern titles - Tactical games, my go to would probably be fire emblem or shining force series (the latter being on megadrive albeit rather expensive these days) For something similar to Final Fantasy, the Breath of Fire games are brilliant 🙂 Otherwise it has got to be the Suikoden games probably ^_^ Some of the best JRPG's ever to be made (especially the PS1 era games) I much prefer the turn based combat, the action style is fine but I just grew up on the turn based stuff and if done well it can be brilliant (Dragon Quest XI for example).

I finished that one as well @Riff Machine , so I am 3 chapters down now (I have done the Japanese one as well), and whilst I am enjoying them I just feel like it is missing something to link all of the stories together at the moment. It is nice playing short stories as it means I am completing them which is something that typically take's forever with such limited time as a dad! The voice acting is quite good and I must admit, with it being the first proper 2d-hd game I have sunk my teeth into it has really won me round (and it looks great on the OLED screen)

Lovely collections! Can't beat the old ATB way of fighting, none of this new action styled ways! My brain can't cope and keep up 😅 Outside of Final Fantasy, what other JRPGs would you recommend? I never really came across any others as we were majorly into all types of sport games at the time. Literally anything from Cricket to Football to Racing. Although the PS1 was the era that brought Metal Gear Solid which was/is a masterpiece.

LMA was great also, but Prem was around before LMA existed. I had fun with both of them. Digging some of the collection you listed, some sweet games being mentioned. 👍

Just wondering if anyone has been able to play this strategy game? I've been watching a few videos on YouTube about it and think it looks really good! Unfortunately you can't get it for PS4 but it looks available on PC and next gen consoles. Might have to see if it works on my laptop 🤞

i have crusader kings 2 on my pc but this game is beyond my abilities atm it seems, no matter how hard i try i can't even become the king of ireland which is considered the tutorial area by many players, i always go bankrupt if i start a war and then get beaten to a pulp

I thinking probably MW3 for MP but then the black ops ones had zombies which was easily the best add in. Somewhere along the way , I think back in the old forum, we actually set up a whole tournament based on three person teams, never actually got finished but it was a load of fun

Anyone played this yet? I think it's available F2P on all systems and is basically Marvel's answer to Super Smash Bros. Seems to be growing at a rapid rate like Fall Guys and very polished right off the bat with huge potential

Will be one I definately pick up, that said I have at home FF Tactics advance 2 and have not played that yet 😄 But yeah this is one to get on the Switch most definately ^_^ In fact I have a feeling I have played this briefly before, maybe on the PSP?

This one just released this week. It looks really good and it's giving me a FF7 remake kind of vibe with the combat system just from the video alone. Also not a full priced game. I may have to check this one out at some point. Some reviews I've seen have been positive.

Just completed the Imperial China chapter. Really good story. An old kung fu Master seeking disciples to carry on his art, travelling to various villages to find some, and subsequently training them, though you should only focus on training one. I really enjoyed this one. It probably had one of the best final boss sequence I've played in an RPG of this style.

The smash bros clone with BATMAN!!!! I've read that it has some pretty shitty monetization in so far as unlocks go but I could see a bunch of us playing on FG Fridays.

To name a few:- Gran Turismo, Resident Evil 1-3, Final Fantasy 7-8, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 2, Die Hard Trilogy, Dino Crisis, Crash Bandicoot, Driver 1-2, Tomorrow Never Dies, Wipeout, Syphon Filter, Silent Hill, Tomb Raider 1-2, Medal of Honor etc.. I was an LMA Manager man myself😎
