  1. So Playstation will be launching a free loyalty programme later this year with rewards like digital collectables, psn games and psn credit. This could be a pretty cool thing to join as it will give you targets to hit and monthly campaigns and activities, even for being the first in a region to platinum a game - one for you @slamminbones . https://blog.playstation.com/2022/07/14/introducing-playstation-stars-an-all-new-loyalty-program/#sf258509072

    FG Germany FIFA 22 Cup

So, last nights results were. Quarter final: @LordBaguette 1 - 2 Findmartin Semi final: @Macca89 5 - 1 Findmartin Manager findmating told FG sports news channel :the lads gave everything out there and managed to produce a shock in the quarters with a decent performance. The fixture schedule was tough for the lads having to play 2 games back to back and we held our own for 60 minutes in the semis against a quality opponent but it wasnt to be. Good luck to macca in the final. I have decided to retire from from German football and give it a crack over in France (sod the 3rd place playoff hey @GazzaGarratt😂)With a little bit of luck I can hopefully go one better and make the final, as long as I dont get a shite team like Metz or something 😂

  3. I've been playing this a lot lately. It's a 2d/2.5d hack and slash side scroller with some lite RPG elements. It's pretty cool visually. The way the developer used the 2.5d to give it almost a pixelated 3d view for some map navigation within the towns. The sprites are well done and animate quite well. I did hate the constant pause after some dialogue cut scenes that seemed to drag to the point I thought my game had froze. The story is very cyber punkish but not as dark as cyberpunk 2077. It's got a more anime vibe both aesthetically and visually. You play as a woman working for an investigation agency that gets dragged into a weird conspiracy to destroy the world. Typical anime story. I was enjoying it quite a fair bit as I said. The encounters were balanced and never seemed to crazy... Until the end. Literally, the second last "encounter" of the game is the biggest pile of dog shit and jacks the difficulty up to insane levels. You're tasked with protecting someone within a shield, but are bombarded by the most powerful enemies in the game as well as assorted drones that explode near the shield. So, with that said, trying to deal with all of this at the same time is rather hectic and the final wave is damn near impossible due to the amount of enemies you have to face. That alone turned me right off the game. I shut it down, deleted it and will not go back. For a game that was so balanced and decent throughout, completely unbalancing the second last encounter is the most dumb fuck, dipshit, stupid ass design decision to ruin what would other wise be a good game. If it wasn't so cheap at the time, I never would have played this and while most of my time was decent with it, the end ruins the experience.

  6. It makes me laugh to be honest, the lengths the failing economic system will go to squeeze out every last penny it can. Profits are king of this world and this is a natural, logical manifestation. It's not a new thing either.

  7. Ok, so it arrived Monday morning. No instructions with it or anything but I'd prepared and watched a few videos on set up. Very straightforward. Love the case it arrives with and its a beautiful looking little machine. I've made my Steam account appear offline for the time being as a couple of my Steam friends are work colleagues 😉 So far I have installed: Katana Zero - brilliant game and plays very well on SD Prey - i will now finally give this game some love Hotline Miami Divinity 2 Rimworld Disco Elysium Desperados 3 South Park Stick of Truth So, what was i looking out for to start forming an opinion? My no.1 concern was controls. 2nd was sound. 3rd was holding it for long periods of time. I'll start with sound. It's amazing, with or without headset/ear buds they did a really good job. People were talking about fan noise. I've haven't heard them at all. Sound without headset is very loud and rich and I take my hat off to Valve on that. But yes controls. I was a bit afraid to begin with that I would find them too fiddly. But I have been pleasantly surprised. Rimworld, the game I thought I would have most trouble with, has been a dream to play. The track pads work extremely well and there has clearly been some effort made to ensure user friendliness. I'm very happy. For first person shooters, I'll wait until I've spent some time on Prey before fully feeding back. I still prefer keyboard and mouse but from what I have played of it on the SD it's very smooth so far. With regards holding it, I can put it on my lap or if I'm in bed it's light enough not to be cumbersome or tiring. So yes, after 3 days I'm very very happy. I'm going to Ramsgate on Saturday and it's only the possibility of me getting drunk there that's stopping me taking it for the journey, will see😁

I think it's definitely neat. But, the imperfections, nuances, and flavor of flesh and bone can't be replaced. But, I agree, it's certainly cool.

That's a good one! But seriously that robot has talent. He has quite a few different songs going on with it, definitely worth checking it out.

  11. heated seats aside, look at the other more important stuff like driver assist and map update, since the future of cars is electric self driving ones they are going to force us to pay monthly for things that will be vital for a self driving cars otherwise no insurance company will cover you and the car will be a moving deathtrap, that's 114 per month, plus all the other bullshit they will find to monetize, welcome to the future where even breathing will require a subscription the future is going to fucking suck majorly, we are diving head first into a cyberpunk dystopia

  12. EXACTLY THIS!!! Although I won't lie, beating the CPU other 2 teams were a nightmare so what would happen was after 30-45 mins, @Findmartin and I would just ally up and then make a huge army to take them both on 😎 I feel like this would be amazing at a meet up for us all. In fact, I should find a way to build a shed at mine just for this. Amazing memories.

  13. Picked up a few SNES games last week. Final Fight is an absolute must. Was kind of a lesser game to Streets of Rage but it was still great to play. Always wanted to get into The Lost Vikings too. And any old golf game is a steal. 😎

  14. Imagine spending £75,000-£125,000 for a new car and then having to buy extra features as microtransactions These are monthly prices too so if you wanted heated seats for a year, it'll cost you over £200 extra! Welcome to the fucking future.

    New PSN subscription.

So Sony have annouced the mew additions to the games catalog for the extra and premium level and there's definitely a couple i'll consider getting. AC Blag Flag is one of my favourite Assassins Creed games so probably get that again, and Saints Row 4 is one i'll get too. Stray looked like it could be a cool little game to play so might get that one too. It will be interesting to see how often they do these updates to the catalog, hopefully it will be a monthly thing

I totally agree 100% It's almost like a music box, it has that kinda sound. It will never be able to add the colours and character and emotion a human can. I mean try comparing it to something like this. It could never play it for numerous reasons.

    Skull and Bones

I still can't work out why they sell boosters in each of their in-game stores - would make more sense if they allowed the player to choose the XP scaling for the experience they want and then maybe people would be more inclined to buy the DLC and future games. For the sake of making £10 here and there out of people paying not to play the game because the story is basically paywalled, they'd be much better off in all fronts if they didn't try and hold people to ransom further that bought their games.

I think this lost any momentum it had due to the delay and lack of info. Plus, Sea of Thieves has been out for a while now. I'm not too sure how it's fairing but this is also a ubisoft game. I think this will be a hard pass from me.

    Skull and Bones

I saw bits of the 'gameplay' (lol) event and the game looks even less ambitious than the already generic as fuck Assassin Creed games. There's no fighting during boarding which defies conceptual belief! They've basically taken Black Flag and stripped 90% of the game. Sea of Thieves had many issues at launch but even that had basic features you'd expect and eventually flourished into a pretty well-rounded experience. This is barebones by even Ubisoft's already shitty standards. Complete waste of time and another pile of shit incoming from the company that is making XDefiant, Ghost Recon BR and The Division Heartlands. Even a decade ago, Ubisoft showed way more originality and ambition with their games. This is another dreadful showing.

  21. I played Street Racer once around a random mate I had back in Secondary school. Underrated I must say, especially when you could play a Mario Kart football gamemode. Track and Field is absolute iconic. I had a chipped version of a PS1 so my Dad would just grab this game from my Uncle who would do it as and when. I lost my disc for this but managed to find it online for £3.09. Absolute steal. Already tried to do Weightlifting and then Rowing. I always felt like i'd do well until someone looked at me and made me laugh cos i was likely pulling a ridiculous face concentrating and smashing the buttons as fast as I could 🥴🤣

from what i saw it is pretty much the same game with the one they showed all those years ago, so why is it still not out yet all these years later? also it looks very uninspired, boring, bland and monetized to hell and back and the cluttered ui, my god... it seems that anyone who wants to get their pirate fix will either have to play sea of thieves or ac4/rogue

  23. My younger brother and I used to do that with Retaliation. Two PS1s linked up, was hours of fun. Mammoth tanks OP. I loved the V2 Rocket Tanks as well and the Tesla towers of course. Sometimes we would have a 20 minute buildup No Attacking. Then it would be chaos. We used to throw in a few Ai as well sometimes, but it was always obvious who the Ai was by the way they built and what they built. They played a certain way, was always a dead giveaway. We wouldn't tell each other which colour we were at the start and turn the tvs the other way so we couldn't see.

  25. So my current focus is gameboy related as i am a bit skint atm so looking out for cheaper games that i want in my collection (hoping for a big splurge on retro stuff when my wife returns to work in january). My last purchase was this - The gbc version is more of a traditional rpg in the mould that I quite enjoy and this cost me less than a fiver (i have just put a bid on chamber of secrets gbc on ebay as well). The games went in a different route once they hit the gba
