  1. I forget sometimes that many of these games now are being made for children, with extra features to make collecting extra revenue from in game purchases. When I say children I mean adult children. Probably explains why I prefer more hardcore tactical games these days when it comes to multiplayer.

  2. I've been listening to the new Volbeat album Servant of The Mind that released this past December. Which also put their entire library on my playlist lately. These guys really rock. I had the pleasure of seeing them live back in 2017 when they opened for Metallica. 🀘

    Skull and Bones

I think this lost any momentum it had due to the delay and lack of info. Plus, Sea of Thieves has been out for a while now. I'm not too sure how it's fairing but this is also a ubisoft game. I think this will be a hard pass from me.

    Skull and Bones

I still can't work out why they sell boosters in each of their in-game stores - would make more sense if they allowed the player to choose the XP scaling for the experience they want and then maybe people would be more inclined to buy the DLC and future games. For the sake of making Β£10 here and there out of people paying not to play the game because the story is basically paywalled, they'd be much better off in all fronts if they didn't try and hold people to ransom further that bought their games.

    Hi.

Nice into mate, ever think of picking up Gran Turismo? We do a league occasionally and a few of us will be looking to play Thursday evenings. Other than that, welcome aboard πŸ‘

  9. It’s pretty minimalistic but quite intriguing. You always have a handful of quests to work through and everything seems to flow nicely. You arrive at a mysterious island so you’re as much in the dark as your character but it’s great to see things unfold without it being too plot or quest heavy. I’m 12 hours in and it’s about a 13-15 hour experience which is just about right especially if people are burnt out with open world games of late.

Seem's there are a few of us with a fondness for the megadrive in here so thought I would get some chat going (I'm hopefully going to pick one up later, I think the retro chats with you guy's has given me a kick up the arse to finally replace my broken one πŸ˜„ ) I'm sat watching some gameplay of Mickey Mouse's castle of illusion, this was the only game I owned in another language (Japanese for some reason) so for the most part I didn't have an idea what was going on but it was a platformer so easy enough to play ^_^ On the video I'm watching currently it looks like it holds up fairly well as far as visuals and the such goes. So any other fond megadrive memories?

    James Caan Died

Died on the 6th of July, 82 years old. Everything I have seen him in is brilliant, very consistent actor. Especially remember him in Misery, The Godfather 2 and Eraser with Arnie. He also played Will Ferells dad in Elf. But yeah he always played parts really well. R.I.P.

He was just a class act, ridiculously good in Elf. Yeah it's been years since I saw Eraser, used to have it on VHS about 20 odd years ago. Maybe pop into CeX and get it cheap second hand on DVD Lee if it's available.

  15. Ooooh, yeah. I think I had a third party one in my loft that's similar to this one. I also had third party controllers alongside the normal ones, mainly for the beat em up ones. They had extra settings you could program slow or continually would be on if pressed! Suffice to say though, i never wanted to use them as it felt scummy to do so! Pic below:

Love him in Elf. Superb. Also liked him in Mickey Blue Eyes with Hugh Grant, lol. Was always spoken highly of when I watched reviews on how Elf was made. RIP James. P.S. I now need to find a streaming service that has Eraser available to watch, been far too long.

  17. Been playing this last few days and it's a great game! A light RPG adventure game set in Norway with all the busywork cut out. It's basically a watered down Skyrim with hints of Hertic and made by just one person. Combat is a bit janky but great fun and there are some really good enemies done well like spiders. Kinda feels like an linear open world game with a classic 90's feel. Great soundtrack and only a tenner too!

  19. They have quite a decent sound, a nice chuggy Riff. Guys voice is more melodic than I expected. Solo started getting good when the tremelo picking began. The bridge Riff is pretty tasty as well. πŸ‘

  21. At E3, being given unrestricted access to this game it was probably one of my most looking forward to games ever. But that was in 2018, who knows if it's even the same game as before. I don't care personally about fighting on deck, as I was looking to this like a world of warships/ black flag.

My little brother used to own one of these Badboys for the Mega drive back in the day. The Mega Drive Power Arcade Joystick. This thing was a beast!

No I haven't tbh! I'm looking to get some of the Mickey Mouse games in chronological order at some point. I really need to get back into Kingdom Hearts too.

    The 80s...

Ah the 80's my teenage years, zx spectrums, the last decent decade of popular music, sport was good and full of characters, I passed my driving test and went straight from school into an apprenticeship at the place I still work at. I went to see Madonna at roundhey park which is still the only gig I've ever been toπŸ˜‚. Great times made better by the fact back then it was just dumb fun and I couldn't give a shit about any political crap. Recently impulse bought this....

  25. So, to try and gather everyone from different time zones, let's try some weekend events. If the US crew can say when is good for them for a session. Best day, time etc and we'll book it in the calendar. @Capn_Underpants @Misneach_ @Shucker @TurboR56Mini @VGon_BGon48 Let me know if I've missed anyone. Also, @BO7H B4RRELS do you by any chance have the game in your household?πŸ€—
