  1. PS2 was another close contender for me by virtue of the amount of time I spent on it but my top games list somewhat lacks variety....🤣 1. Metal Gear Solid 2 2. Grand Theft Auto Vice City 3. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas 4. Grand Theft Auto III 5. Metal Gear Solid 3 6. Pro Evo Soccer 4 7. Pro Evo Soccer 3 8. Pro Evo Soccer 9. Tony Haws Pro Skater 3 I don't even think I can name a tenth although I did have a few other titles. I played the absolute shit out of the ones I did get and Pro Evo 5 and 6 would've been on there had I not grabbed them on PC instead.

  2. Gameplay trailer revealed yesterday Looking at it, I couldn't get a huge feel for how it will look and play. We don't know how the gunplay will 100% feel until we see a more detailed gameplay and UI/HUD. The story parts is looking good so far, and the voiceover for Robocop is quality. Still probably a bit to go until we can see if we're looking forward to a must-buy me thinks.

  4. I hear a bunch of ZX Spectrum games have been released on Steam. In my junior school half the class had Spectrums, the other half had C64s. One poor lad had a BBC micro computer which only had Elite to play. I've not played a bad console so hard to say, they all have great memories, C64, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, GameCube. When it becomes retro though, the Xbox 360 rules them all, without a shadow of a doubt👍

    The 80s...

Ah the 80s, Thatcher, Yuppies, the Falklands, IRA bombings, Rick Astley, leaded petrol fumes, Jimmy Saville, poll tax, Liverpool FC, so glad I was too young for mist of it😅 The 80s for me were the Commodore 64, playing football with jumpers for goalposts, finding jazz mags in random bushes, a European trophy for Spurs that I only vaguely remember and discovering alternative music.

  7. Music is such a beautiful thing, I love it when people share what they listen to. A great way to remind myself there's other music out there 🙂

  9. I was supposed to post this a while back as it got me giddy excited as Robocop was one of kind of fictional heroes (because of the original film and the Amstrad CPC 464 game). If they get his HUD working in the way like the movies, I'd like to think its a must buy for me. Its also based on the original movies 35 years ago which definitely helps as the newer version just didn't hit me the way the old one does. Anyway, trailer for starters with some concept art. Still a way to go to wait for this one as it states 2023.

    The 80s...

Ah the 80's my teenage years, zx spectrums, the last decent decade of popular music, sport was good and full of characters, I passed my driving test and went straight from school into an apprenticeship at the place I still work at. I went to see Madonna at roundhey park which is still the only gig I've ever been to😂. Great times made better by the fact back then it was just dumb fun and I couldn't give a shit about any political crap. Recently impulse bought this....

  14. A Nintendo DS is defo retro - they're 18 years old now!! I notice thats one of the very few crossovers Pokemon did so should be a good one I hope. Command & Conquer is one of those games I wish they would resurrect. Played many a game of that linked up with two PS1s. Retaliation is the one that we played. Ridiclous amount of fun, especially with Tesla Towers 😎 Great finds mate.

  15. The new GTA is supposedly set in Florida and I have to give it Rockstar, they always seem to deliver games that are way ahead in the generation and timeless. The one trick they missed with GTA V however was failing to build upon the world they created by expanding the map and giving up a new campaign - they put every ounce of resources into multiplayer and ignored people that just wanted something for the single player aspect. An awful wasted opportunity really. I hope it doesn't resemble a live service in any way though - GTA has to be a single player title with an MP tacked on. Any hint of going down the live service/MP focused route and that could be very negative for the brand. Too bad they've been DMCA'ing the shit out of all community content. This week alone Take Two have nuked all VR material and this was off the back of multiple takedowns already this year. This mods are turning into YouTube video fodder sadly.

  17. How does it relate to the film? I.e. is the book better, does the film miss much out? I plan to read through The Scion of Shannara this coming week ^_^ Big fan of the series and just realised to day I have the druid of shannara signed by the author! I'm quite the fan of sci-fi and fantasy material

    The 80s...

I'm currently loving synthwave music. Check out The midnight, LeBrock and any other synthwave artist. Love driving the MR2 with the roof down to this, feels like I'm in Outrun 😄

My PS2 is currently booting from memory card to a network and reading games from my pc. It's a pretty awesome setup, although Lee will hate it.

  25. My top 5 thinking quickly about it: Mega Drive SNES Xbox Gamecube PS1 Mega Drive was my first console, and my love for Sega over Nintendo will forever stand (FU Mario!). The games on that were incredible, however what probably helped was I could still try out the SNES when I was 10 upwards because @Findmartin had the SNES so we'd alternate games. Funny thing is SNES seemed to have better co-op games to play together until the PS1. The only real huge shift in games for me came with the original Xbox. Xbox Live changed my life and games overnight and if it wasn't for how i grew up with the Mega Drive, I think my Xbox would win hands down. Its probably why I got big into online gaming and multiplayer games way more in general. @J4MES OX4D I missed the N64, probably because my lack of love for Nintendo. Although, when I was old enough I got a GameCube and it honestly was incredible how unique their games were. I imagine N64 was the same, especially with the likes of Goldeneye? Racing wise, Gran Turismo was just the best although I played TOCA 1 and 2 alongside V-Rally 1, 2 and 3 way more because of the Championship co-op ability they had.

  26. Finally finished the slog that was Calibans War. What a dog shit sequel. Turned me off of the rest of the Leviathans Wake series. I'm gonna start reading The Shadow of The Gods by John Gywnne and follow that up with Pariah by Anthony Ryan.

  27. Now currently reading "Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse" the latest D&D 5e book that mashes a few previous volumes into one with race specific updates. I love reading these books.

  28. I had to dump two books in a row, which was disappointing. But I finally found what I needed to read right now: Ghostland: An American History in Haunted Places by Colin Dickey and The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski. Enjoying them both right now. One of my friends and I are planning on reading The Witcher books together, so we can have our own mini book club. I.e. we squawk at each other through text messages.

  29. I'm reading throw the rulebook for The Witcher TTRPG at the moment, and I'm about halfway through Calibans War. I'm finding it difficult to keep reading through as it hasn't seemed to pull me in like the first book did. As for The Witcher rulebook... Wow. There is a lot of charts that determine modifiers for certain combats. Terrain, weather, and light levels are just a few, but this could be quite the complicated rule set for the hardcore players.

  30. I've went back and started re-reading The Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, mostly to bone up on the area we're currently in on our D&D live stream of Descent Into Avernus. It won't help much when we get to hell, but it's good to use for my characters background so I actually have names for the places I write about. Lol!

  31. Yea, I love those Destiny Grimoire books. Volume 4 is almost entirely about Mara and Ulldren. After, as Sarah said, blowing through Leviathan Wakes, I jumped to the first book in Mr. Kristoffs new series "Empire of The Vampire" whicih was really friggin good. Nothing like the crappy twilight series. Now, I've started book 2 of the expanse, Calibans War and I still have one of Yahtzee Croshaws books on the go called "Will Save The Galaxy For Cash." Not too mention the 3 DnD books I've read over the span of the last 3-4 months.
