Modern Warfare 2(022)

If it's exactly like mw2019 I couldn't give less of a fuck however if they have dead silence as a perk or turn down the footsteps then that's a start but the cod will always live or die imo with the maps. I have zero faith in IW or the cod franchise these days, I have more hope for treyarch to take the franchise back to what made cod so good in the past.2 points -

I just hope they add Dead Silence or Ninja as a perk or the game will be DOA. Who wants to play a campy, slow game? It's just boring.2 points -

MW2 by name and MW3 by branding. Very much doubt it'll be able to live up to those classics and I'm really not sure on the name conflict with the iconic original. A reveal must be pretty imminent but my interest is fairly minimal. I don't have much confidence left in the franchise and Microsoft's near-acquisition of the company had no bearings on development or likely anything post-launch so this is still very much a COD title of recent. That being said, IW are probably the strongest part left of the series but they are still a shadow of their former selves and unless the cheating epidemic is addressed, it could be tarnished before it's even got started.1 point -

I'll never touch another From Software game again. I played Bloodborne for a bit and hated it. I sucked absolute donkeyballs at it which of course is no indication of my skill but rather that it's a shit game. I'm far too stupid for these things 😞 The Let Me Solo Her story was absolutely fantastic though.1 point -

Nobody would've even entertained this idea. It's a very niche market, their company was worth fuck all and their total employees was 50. This will be a massaged number and will likely include people they employed on Fiverr.com at some point to create a logo. Anyone with a bit of cash could start up a company better than them with the cash in their sofa, so the risk of spending a million quid or whatever to purchase a company which has committed suicide on social media is such a high risk that not even the highest risk merger broker would consider it.1 point -
Once these people get that lifestyle and hang with others who have the same lifestyle, there's no going back. Too much pride on the line, they'll go bankrupt before they go to Aldi. My boss was absolutely dripping in money, he wasn't a showy guy but he wore Tom Ford shoes and bought a new pair every two months almost to the day. It was one of his things. I googled them - £1500 a pop. We moved him in to his new country house, he bought a new mattress, never heard of the brand before. Googled it - £16k. For a mattress. His mum was based in Lucern but came to London now and then to see the grankids. He bought her a little London pad, one bedroom place in Chelsea, £5m. His coffee machine at home? £12k. I can go on, but you get the idea. It was absolutely mental. I always used to think I wanted that kind of money but these people have no appreciation for anything. Nothing at all. I bought myself a scooter recently and I absolutely love the thing, it's my baby. To these people it's just another purchase. His second private jet was just another purchase too, I think he picked the colour and interior options and his PA bought it for him. To him it was like buying a washing machine. Oh he also had a 1956 Porsche 356 sitting under a tarp at work. It was his dad's car so had some sentimental value, but it was just sitting there rotting away. Here's a rough idea of what they're worth. Being loaded isn't what people think, yes they can have whatever they want but they have massive problems too, albeit very different to ours.1 point

Very, very easily. I could spend $50m in a day, once you see how rich people spend money it changes your outlook on life. Apart from the usual yachts / private jets / all that nonsense there's the daily stuff. When income increases, so does the cost of outgoings. We spend a couple of quid on bread and milk, they spend £15 on the same because it's all organic fresh fairtrade blablabla that's bought in by the staff, not them. I spent two years working directly for a chap worth £5b. Yes, billion with a B. The stories I could tell you would blow your mind. Here's one - I was chatting to his PA one day who was flapping around the office as if the world was collapsing. I asked her what was up and she told me he missed his flight. I didn't understand how this could be such a drama so simply asked if she couldn't book him a new flight, just ring BA or whatever. How wrong was I. He had a slot booked for his own private jet at the airport. The jet was on the tarmac ready to go, fully fuelled, pilot and crew on board, food and drink, the lot. The slot cost £15k and it was a 15 minute slot. This means that ATC is on standby for 15 minutes and he owns the runway for that duration. He missed his slot which meant he had to pay another £15k to the airport for a new one, which wasn't available, so he had to buy a slot from someone else for £50k. Yes, there are people out there who book slots with no intention of flying just so they can profit off this kind of thing. He shrugged this off as I would putting out half a fag. It was absolutely nothing to him, pocket change. That's how these people work, money is absolutely not on their radar at all.1 point -

Finally watched No time to die, thought as it was on Amazon I'd sit through it, wish I hadn't bothered. The Daniel Craig era to me has been awful but this was one film too far, not only a bad Daniel Craig film a bad film fullstop, one of the worst ever. The film is way too long, nothing much happens and Freddie Mercury is possibly the worst bond baddie of all time. Thank fuck they killed bond, if things don't improve moving forward then they may as well let the franchise die than churn out shit like this.1 point -

They probably could've secured a takeover of sorts had their company not had a trove of dodgy stuff filed at the bottom of the cabinet. The CEO being a douche is one thing and the brand being heavily tarnished is another but it seems there is a lot of shady things that had gone on and any value left within the company will likely be used for civil recovery and other monies owed. There's definitely plenty of other smaller companies that do this and some big opportunities to replicate Artesian's presence but I couldn't even see Jesus turning this ship around🤣1 point -

While I should be excited about this, as mw2 was my favorite cod ever and I spent months of game time playing it, I can’t help but think it’s gonna be another game that I play for a few weeks and then never touch again. I hope it re captures the cod magic for me but I won’t keep my hopes up. I’m sure I’ll still get it unless it looks like a dumpster fire. I have zero interest in BR games so hopefully it has a good MP selection and some re hashes of my favorites from back then.1 point -

First night in on Tuesday for the FG DayZ server and it was great. Felt real good getting back into the baron wasteland and checking over places. Now one thing that seemed to be better feeling this time out on a Vanilla server game is that I didn't feel wholly lost even though our only server we've been on here in recent years was with a GPS and auto-run enabled. Using DayZ izurvive map, it took me a while but I could manage to find where I was going and by the end of the night, meet up with Phil and where the current makeshift base is. I think a few other randomers jumped on which was cool to know as thats what helps give DayZ that extra edge being a survival PvEvP map. The harshness also seems to be slightly better this time out but not too easy so it doesn't remove anything from the game. Playing DayZ on console Vanilla version just felt incredibly painful but this one feels like its testing, challenging but rewarding. I really need to watch a video for what we can build now. I loved our last build in a deep forest where we had constant wolves for danger/food purposes. Clearly, Cargo drops aren't a thing in Vanilla DayZ so we'll need to understand where we can find tents and more shelters. I think might start making a simplistic box base for now though. Even the makeshift leaves and twigs as a tent look really cool. Highlight was defo hearing Didds get eaten by Wolves 🤣 I think the rain was annoying AF just before we logged off as everytime we kept coming out of our hut, dried our clothes next to a fire, it would start raining again! It was just like England! GGs @phil bottle, @crispymorgan and @Diddums. I can feel we can make a real go of this server and also invite new people to it so we can see how we get on. Lets share pics where we can too.1 point -

So yeah @Diddums dying to a pack of wolves has to be my highlight so far 😁 Three of us are in Stary now, have a couple of shelters thanks to @crispymorgan @GazzaGarratt has set up a camp fire although we did have to contend with sporadic rain. Need tents or to build more shelters as I'm running out of space🙂1 point -

Seriously how the fuck do you get £50m in debt? Multi-millionaire sports personality, lots of lavish global assets and also was still working as a broadcaster earning more in 2 weeks than people earn in 10 years. What sort of elitist lifestyle do you have to lead where you get into such a state and then have to conceal assets scattered all over the globe so you don't have to pay a portion of the overall debt? He's now landed himself a 30 month prison sentence and has nothing left - even having to see his sports memorabilia auctioned off so creditors can reclaim some of the money owed. It's quite a fascinating read but it beggars belief how someone of some intelligence can allow their circumstances to spiral like that and live so recklessly. It's not even a case of it being a company collapse or a chain of horrendous circumstances - this is a personal debt fueled by money-mismanagement and sheer greed on an unprecedented scale.0 points
