Just wanted to make a quick post to say hi and look forward to some gaming with you all. I mainly play Destiny 2. As a parent I don’t have much spare time for other games

Dear God! S10 is difficult! I think I clocked over 120 miles around Spa but only actually managed to complete 3 or 4 laps. Still, I got the gold in the end so that’s all licences gold for me. Which thankfully means, I never need to look at the bloody things again 😄

Welcome to FG. We have a fairly large group on destiny so you won't be short of members to game with.

Yeah the soft lock was annoying but in some ways it just cemented the knowledge. The more we do of the earlier stuff the sooner we get to a point we can blast through it all in one go. Feel bad for @Bluebear who missed out on loot as a result of the lock but congrats to @Riff Machine for stepping in and picking up that role - thought the stun team were on it from the start. I need to start learning the symbol role to help out, sounds horrible and glitchy so we all need to suffer a bit! GG's everyone. Lets see if we can progress it a bit further on Thursday. when hopefully we can all get back on.

I'm going to put some time into this at the Weekend. Which by the sounds of it will get me through the opening credits. Plan is to just take my time with it and go manual from the off.

Really enjoyed getting to learn this raid last night, there’s 20+ symbols so no one should feel bad for messing up a few times, stuff like this takes time and practice, everyone did an awesome job and beating caretaker after the soft lock made it all the sweeter lol looking forward to Thursday 👍

Welcome to FG @Allthe4s44 ! Take a look around, lots of people like you that are juggling the woes of kids and gaming time at the same time. I just converted mine to do the same thing which felt the easiest thing to do 😅 As Paul above says, many of us play and dip in and out of D2. Do you mainly play on PlayStation or are you PC, Xbox, etc? And its all good with us if you don't play many games, we're still around here to have a laugh about all sorts of things - gaming and everything else. Anyways, hope you enjoy your stay 😄

Most places these days have a 'pass' for this kind of message due to so many developers not being able to accurately predict when they are ready. Always seems the right thing to do, to have a more finished product out there. Although, it does make you slightly concerned as not all delayed releases still launch well *cough Anthem cough* 😄Fingers crossed they can use the time to launch really well.

Good start last night with a team of FGers that haven't experienced the Caretaker phase on VotD Raid. Consistency is key and finding all the symbols and remembering them can take a bit of time 😅 The feelings of the whole team after finishing first and second sections was a great feeling to hear. Everyone was so happy just getting a part done and it didn't matter it was only half the raid. Only disappointment is the 2nd part softcover on us as we finished it about 90 mins before we got off so essentially it felt like Caretaker practice! Out of our two encounter completions I got two of the new weapons. Played a bit no real review yet. They look kinda neato.

And some of us are from the colonies, myself included. East Coast US. Really allows for playing at all hours of the day!

No worries, just helps with timezones and arranging times to play with people. I'm from Scotland myself. 😀

It sucks when a game is delayed, however I would rather more time given to hopefully sort things rather than the half baked release. Especially these days with the likes of Cod, BF, Cyberpunk etc.

Dont feel bad @GazzaGarratt the symbols is clearly the hardest part , trying to take that info in, and translate it into names people recognise, whilst in a frantic rush is really tough. Thought all the symbol guys did a great job, and it’s the sort of thing that will get easier over time. We’ve made a great start to learning this raid and getting those first loot drops is best gear we get all year !

For reference, Avernus is the first layer of the Nine Hells. So we're going to hell. It'll be... fun? Characters include: doddering old man dwarf bard, his young nephew bard, an anti-magic orc, a halfling ranger with southern accent, Chad as a dragon person that's the caregiver for old man dwarf and is just done with his shit, and me in a fancy jacket.
